Throughout the years, I've always been telling people in the forums and reddit that Socom 1 has the most challenging (yet rewarding) gameplay in the single player campaign. Admiral level on the other games doesn't even compare. It took me years to get to Admiral on S1. I bumped up all the ranking stars for each map while leaving "POW Camp" and "Mouth of the Beast" to tackle last. After failing so many times, I figured out all of the triggers and spawns that make the enemies suddenly appear out of nowhere, but it doesn't make things much easier. And yeah, I used that 2 minute run on Deathblow each time. However, I kept a saved slot of Deathblow on Ensign on my card so I could always return to it and try out other scenarios, which makes it a lot of fun and almost like playing a straight-up multiplayer with several unpredictable enemy spawns. Socom CA did get pretty tough on Admiral when fighting against the Death Squad troops, but they are no match for the Allah Sadikahu, Riddah Rouge, and jungle Mercenaries . - "Where's Magnus? ...if he's off to find liquor, I'll kill 'em meself".
Yeah those missions in socom 1 are so hard the iron Brotherhood missions in Alaska are pretty easy but the missions in the Thailand location and the Congo location and the Turkmenistan location more challenging and even harder going to Socom one game especially on lieutenant Junior rank difficulty is so hard
Socom 1 is so weird. Ensign difficulty is a joke but as soon as you get to jr lieutenant you may as well be jumping the grand canyon on a unicycle with 1 hand tied around your ballbag while blindfolded
Yea. Socom 1 got nasty. Kind of like it though, makes it more intense and rewarding. The game seems to go more for realism (except for the random enemy's teleporting out of thin air and aimboting you).
That prison mission was insane I love it but hate it. When I was younger I could never get past it, I always set off the damn alarm I also attempted multiple ways to try and break in the closest I got then was to escort the prisoner but the helicopter kept killing me
its a brutal mission bro. I suggest that you take your time with stealth. The smoke grenades are your best friends. give them to all your teammates and use them whenever you think you will be walking around a dangerous corner. Getting to the caves I think is the hardest part. You're so exposed no matter what way you go.
Railshock I usually roll with the SR-25SD stealthy till I get to the camp then grab a downed enemies 74 and go from there. I'll try to actually use my smokes next time. Thanks!
After all these years of extrusiating pain and mission failed screens... I can say I was FINALLY able to complete POW camp and the rest of the campaign on Lt. Junior rank (don't ask how 🤣🥲🔫). Playing prison break on a higher difficulty definitely posed alot of problems for me on the first few attempts, but I was able to strategize better. Basically all I did was once I blew up the wall where you create the diversion, I immediately ran to the armory.. killed all terrorists and let them all come to me while I commanded bravo to cover area from outside the prison threw the hole in the wall to kill anyone coming from the right side of the armory while I clear out the left from inside. Once I felt the area was clear, I bring bravo inside and tell them to ambush certain spots and bound off them to where Mr. Pickle is at, then secure him. Then I take him back to the armory, blow up the hind, and reach the encampment. The encampment was wayyyy easier than I anticipated having bravo cover area and I pick off enemies on the hilltop. Overall took me about 14-15 attempts. Now Mouth of the Beast is as advertised. Easily took me 50-60 attempts and made me switch my kit about 5 times. My biggest difficulty was the insertion area; enemies (in my opinion) are wayyyy too inconsistent on how they react and where they spawn. My aim isn't exactly the best since I got a fucked up joystick so if I botch my first couple shots, ik I'm getting aimboted 1000% of the time. I felt pretty comfortable once I got to the first set of tunnels; would use the 203 and have bravo cover area to take out the first set of enemies on the right tunnel. Then I'd have bravo watch the left and I always go right and kill the sniper on the rock and wait for the MGL to push me and kill him too. Then once I reach the cave entrance of the nukes I use the 203 and kill all enemies that run out (I Basically 203 spammed my way into the nukes). The most stressful part is reaching the nukes handsdown; I try to secure the nukes as quick as I can and not even allowing them to arm the nukes to begin with. Now the attempt where I was able to complete the mission I had all my teammates alive, so extracting back to the insertion I felt way more comfortable knowing I could have them take a death for me (I know that's shitty to say lol). Unfortunately on that attempt I botched a grenade trying to throw it at the enemies but of course my luck it bounced off the wall right next to me and my teammates and ended up killing boomer and jester (RIP) so I lost all hope in completing the mission with just me and spectre but I somehow pulled it off and spectre performed the best he's ever have for me and killed 4-5 late spawning enemies and was the real MVP of the mission 🫡. POW camp and Mouth of the Beast are without a doubt the top 2 hardest missions in socom history and are interchangeable for which ever takes the #1 spot.
Mission 4 for SOCOM 2 always had a bs surprise near the end where once you finally reached that RAFB cell leader you needed to capture, as soon as she surrendered the other lady that’s next to her would always immediately rifle butt her failing the mission instantly. I remember this personally so many years ago. Eventually I caught on that you either had to eliminate that other lady that followed her or throw a flash bang in the room first before you got too close.
I don't disagree with the list but the tunnels in Mouth of the Beast definitely gave me the biggest challenge. It's also one of the most memorable levels of all time for me. Much respect to Zipper for making gaming challenging and super immersive. Probably my favourite Socom level is Terminal Transaction, sometimes less is more and the negative space is awesome in a derelict artistic way. From the start of the level with the 2 Albanians talking and one watching from the guardtower, you have to make a decision. And then in the smaller warehouse at ground level, 2 doorways facing each other. Wow. Awesome gameplay.
My 2 favorite missions are both on SOCOM 3, Friend or Foe in South Asia and State Security in Poland. Been my favorite since I was a little kid. Both in my opinion are beautiful maps with good stories. My other close favorites are the Oil Rig, Hoen Kohn and Riposte Primer. I love to speed run Oil Rig, Hoen Kohn has amazing architecture but I wish it had socom 3 night vision, and Riposte Primer is just cool. So many others I love though, fantastic series
POW Camp... I was stuck on that map on Lt. Junior Grade forever and if my brother didn't steal and sell my PS2 memory card I would have tried to complete it again since that time period. I actually got all the POW's to the extraction point and then with that, literally out of thin air an enemy just spawns, shouts WAZAAAAH and shoots one of the prisoners and fails the mission...
I remember trying to get the unlocked characters in Socom 2. You had to beat the campaign on the hardest difficulty. Took me forever the first time but ended up getting pretty good
Extremely accurate list. Maybe Mouth of the Beast and Prison Break can be interchanged. For Prison Break there is a trick that makes it a lot easier if you get the map before Mr. Pickle. The hind won't appear and the end area will be free of enemies. Mouth of the Beast used to be really hard for me, but once I realized you can shoot out the lights in the cave it becomes a lot easier. It took me years to beat this game on admiral and it's pretty much solely because of POW Camp. Oddly addicting game because of the difficulty.
@@SavagePatch115 yeah those missions in Socom 1 are so hard the Thailand missions the Congo missions and the turkmenster emissions and also in the second Socom game the later missions are pretty hard a little challenging at times but yeah I agree in the first Socom game in the Thailand location those missions are really hard at times
I played this game religiously growing up and never would’ve thought this game had such a cool genuine community that cared and supported such a game. Does anybody know how I could get my Hands on this game and play it in 2023 ? That would be awesome.
Huge fan of the series. Mouth of the beast was so difficult it wasn’t until in the pandemic I finally beat socom 1 campaign during the pandemic loaded my memory card up and had that saved slot for 15 years. One of PlayStations classics. I’m surprised POW camp was number one. I’m solid on those missions but the last three missions in Turkmenistan was so fucking hard back then. I would love to have a remaster versions of these classics. Socom 1-3 in particular. SOCOM 1 was my personal favorite everything in that game is perfect. Game play and music. Jeremy soule who compose SOCOM ‘s music went on to produce music for elder scrolls
Agree with the entire list with one exception. I think Guided Tour is the most difficult SOCOM II mission. Keeping Flatfoot alive, the majority of fighting being CQB where any wrong step ends up with a rifle butt to the face and the night/fog cover made it really tough to outgun enemies if you're out of cover.
On mouth of the beast, if HQ tells you "they know youre there", and you still get the objective complete for destroying the radio, it means you alerted some guard. Took awhile to figure this out. On Prison break, the guard will only spawn on top of the armory if you take out the sniper next to the generator. On socom 1, map and enemy placement knowledge is key. Socom 2, is far easier than socom 1 with the only exception being Guided Tour and Lockdown. Urban sweep imo is an easy mission if you do it correctly.
As someone who has completed every SOCOM game on Admiral without use of an emulator, I'd say this is a good list I only have minor disagreements with it. Warning as I have a wall of text incoming. I think the difficulty of some missions is highly dependent on the type of player and their experience with the game. As once you learn the spawns and enemy counts for some missions the difficulty can change drastically. I used to think POW camp was by far the hardest mission in SOCOM but after learning everything I almost want to say Mouth of the Beast is harder. With every mission in SOCOM there is a 100% foolproof strategy you can use to win by learning the enemy spawn points and the amount of enemies there are in each area, once you know that strategy for each mission the difficulty comes from how hard it is to execute that strategy without making mistakes. For someone who does know a winning strategy for each mission I'd say Prison Break is the hardest. But for someone who doesn't know a winning strategy for each mission I'd say POW Camp is by far the hardest. My list would be: 1.) Prison Break - To me this is the hardest mission because it's very dark, and it's extremely difficult to tell exactly when you have cleared the prison because terrorists come at you in huge numbers at varying times. So basically you have to sit in the armory and kill terrorists that come after you until you feel safe going out to get Mr. Pickle. If you successfully secure Mr. Pickle and clear the prison then you pretty much have won the mission. There's a very easy way to take down the chopper by simply standing just barely outside a door and spraying it with two mags from the AKS-74 that immediately takes it down. After that extracting Mr. Pickle is also easy as you can just send Bravo to Foxtrot and all the terrorists in the village will run right into their line of fire. You can then use them to attack all the way to the extraction area and safely extract Mr. Pickle there. 2.) POW Camp - As I previously mentioned if you don't know the enemy spawn locations and numbers this mission is by far the hardest. However once you have learned it you can safely kill the Mercenaries as they run after you and there are safe ways to take out all of the snipers nests without them seeing you. I put this as #2 because for a very long time this was the most difficult SOCOM mission for me. I rank Prison Break higher because the enemies are way more predictable and easy to see on POW Camp and the winning strategy is much easier to execute once you learn it. 3.) Mouth of the Beast - I put this at #3 solely because of the glitched and unpredictable enemy spawns. If not for that alone this mission would be drastically easier. Clearing the caves is pretty straightforward, just throw grenades near the light bulbs and the terrorists can barely see you so when they come running out you just mow them down until they are clear. During the latter half of the mission there are very weird enemy spawn points that even I haven't figured out how to counter because they don't happen 100% of the time. The 1 minute timer that detonates the nuke is avoidable until you reach the vault area, so you can clear the majority of the terrorists before even entering and also you can disable the generator with a grenade making securing the nukes a lot easier also. Moving to extract is kinda difficult but pretty straightforward. If not for the glitched spawns I'd put this in the bottom half of the list. 4.) Temple at Hohn Kaen - Difficult mostly because of how long it is and because of a few glitched spawns in the latter half of the mission once you reach Morgan. The big open area just before you eliminate the sentries is hard to get through without you or Boomer getting killed. The area where you secure Morgan has a lot of glitched spawning locations but otherwise is somewhat easy to clear. The way to get Morgan's Husband is pretty hard to get through because of a couple particularly aggressive and accurate terrorists as well as snipers. There is also this terrorist with an LMG on top of the building her husband is in that I can never seem to locate, however you can pretty easily get by this by just throwing smokes at the door, crawling around the inside and throwing another smoke to restrain him. This is when SOCOM 1 really started to get difficult 5.) Mountain Assault - This mission is pretty straightforward and the enemies are highly predictable, however its difficult just because of the sheer amount of enemies that get thrown at you and how deadly accurate they are on this mission. Once you've gotten inside the bunker to secure the POW it's pretty easy because you can shut the power off. 6.) City of the Forgotten - Enemies are also highly predictable on this mission once you learn their spawns and locations. Still pretty difficult just because it can be hard to see them and there are quite a few. 7.) Stranglehold - In my opinion this is the only SOCOM 2 mission that comes close to SOCOM 1's difficulty level. The enemies are very hard to see because of all the bushes and such, and getting your team to plant the satchel at the plane before time runs out and without them getting killed is very hard. Also the last part of the mission is pretty hard because of enemy grenade spam. 8.) Urban Sweep - Difficult for the reasons you mentioned, the enemies are hard to see because of how dark it is and you sort of have to expose yourself a lot to get to the final part of the mission. 9.) Guided Tour - This mission is kinda hard just because traveling between the locations is difficult. It's very difficult to see the enemy and they can sometimes massacre your entire team within a few seconds. However I learned some specific routes you can take to prevent that from happening. 10.) Brewed Chaos - Only mission past SOCOM 2 I would consider hard. The very last part is difficult because you have to defend the brewery from a ton of terrorists coming at you from all sides. Your teammates are practically useless in this mission so it is entirely up to you and on top of that they are very vulnerable to getting killed.
I forgot about the ending part of Brewed Chaos. You are right, that ending is difficult because of the sheer number of enemies coming from all directions. How'd you get through the cabin and lower camp on POW camp? I've gotten through the beginning easily although I have some trouble with weird spawns at the Magnus camp, but I can deal with it. I've never really used smokes, I have a feeling they'll be my key to success on those cabin areas.
Guided Tour is annoying because I've had some instances where an enemies gun barrel will just clip through one of the walls and mow down your entire team when you're on the staircases. Yeah Brewed Chaos is beyond annoying because of the ridiculous amount of enemies that swarm you and how sometimes they'll pull a kamikaze and just unload bullets into the containers and fail the mission without you even realizing. I learned in that mission it's best to have Bravo up on the second floor while you and Jester stay on the ground.
The one major thing I see in every video on the socom games is everyone is trying to run through them I have played these games for years and online #1slow down be methodical snipe them and ambush them there are several locations to hide and snipe them these games are designed for long play sessions
I try to play it with a mix of stealth and speed, similar to real seal tactics, as far as I know. I hide in a bush and creep up until guys are in position, then blasts and frags away. I've really started to enjoy using terrorist guns in game for unlimited ammo since I'm dumping mags when I turn corners.
im trying to rack my brain bcuz i dont remember socom 2 being difficult but im not sure if i ever beat it on the highest difficulty, pretty sure i did tho. that one mission where you start in the jungle and infiltrate the underground bunker is the only thing that comes to mind
The jungle mission is in the Congo location in socom 1 and those missions were hard especially pow camp and mountain assault and the desert Turkmenistan missions are hard too and in socom 2 the hard missions on the higher ranks are the RAFB missions in Brazil are pretty challenging and I think the mission in Socom 2 mission 9 Against the tide is pretty challenging the last mission in Algeria and missions 10&11 Lockdown and Guide tour is pretty hard especially on the higher ranks of difficulty
11.Shepard Socom combine assault...The reason why I say this because enemies have heavy weapons and the chopper can kill your whole team 10. State security socom 3...State security look easy but on the hard difficult it’s Challenging because enemies can kill you in a snap that’s all I have to say 9.Underfire socom fire team bravo the reason why I say this because enemies can Spawn whatever because capture ratbate and go to the extraction point enemies go swarming you on the hard difficulty level 8.songbird socom fire team bravo this mission was the hardest of all the reason I say this because enemies are every where when you the informant call sign magpie or whatever his name was the reason I say this because enemies can spawn wherever when you get magpie and enemies can kill you in a minute 7. Against all tide socom 2 this mission is easy and hard at the same time because first you get the vip and go on the roof and defend for 10 minutes and enemies can snip you any where and go in the front door and can go in the glass window 6.Urban sweep socom 2 this mission is hard because for 1 you gotta clear the Area of all threats and capture a enemy leader and if any enemies kill the leader mission fails 5.chokehole socom combine assault this mission is hard the reason I say this because first you gotta blow up a weapons cash and blow up a tank and clear the area of enemies and on the hard difficulty enemies can Challenge you anywhere they want 4.straglehold socom 2 the reason I say this mission is because finding the lab enemies can challenge you anywhere and finding the lab turning of the lights enemies can still see you even in the dark 3.stormcloud socom combine assault mission look easy but it doesn’t play in the final objective because enemies have shotguns and can kill you easy in a snap when you have yellow heath or lower These are in my opinion thank you for hearing my hardest missions If your seeing this comment
4:44 Oh my goodness, I remember playing this mission with my dad on the PS2 and I got killed near the end of the mission.🤣🤣Childhood days man… the mission at 5:42 took a LONG ASS time to complete, Im talking 2 months…..
Since first playing SOCOM 1 back in 2004 or 05, I never made it past mission 5 on Lt Junior. Even as a teenager I kept getting killed by the elephant statues with the furthest I made it was to where Morgan was being held only for the game to play the cutscene of her getting shot and ended up deleting my save file out of rage, . I'm 23 now so I might have a better chance at beating it but I almost feel inclined to play on PC and use save states.
I’m only gonna do a top 3. Picking 1 mission from the first 3 games. 3 Nightcrawler (Socom 3) The only problems are it’s dark & have to be stealthy through most of the mission. Socom 3 is easy to beat thanks to checkpoints. 2 Temple At Hohn Kaen (Socom 1) I’m stuck on this level the issue is it’s another dark mission but I always fail cause morgan gets taken out before I reach her since I’m lost & don’t know where I’m going. 1 Urban Sweep (Socom 2) This one is just disgusting honestly. I been stuck on this mission for over a year. The end is where I struggle, I can breeze through the start & middle. I usually fail either cause the leader gets shot or I do. The enemies are well placed or got high ground on you. It also don’t help you have to deal with the dark & tall grass. There’s also a enemy with a torrent gun before you reach the leader making the mission more annoying.
I still haven't made it to 2 of the missions on this list because I never beat prison break. It's on my bucket list to beat that mission as well as Socom 1
And also another thing about Socom 1 is after you beat the game for the first time you can't choose your missions like Socom 2 you can choose your missions after you beat the game the first time
For the longest time i struggled with Deathblow, i never knew about the 2 minute drill that would made that mission easier. I completed the mission basically gun blazing my way through squads of Terrorists to kill Kitten and Fat Cat. In the end i had only Specter and myself the last ones alive in the end, i was exhausted after replaying it multiple times from failing. I felt like i killed over 70 plus Terrorists at the end.
My list: 1.POW Camp 2. Prison Break 3.Guided Tour 4. Lockdown 5. Mountain Assault 6. Mouth Of the beast 7. Death Blow 8.Temple at Hohn Kaen 9. City of The Forgotten. 10. RAFB drug lab 11.Brewed Chaos Socom 3
Socom 1 hardest missions Mission 12 Mission 8 Mission 10 Mission 6 Mission 11 Pretty much the later missions are so hard especially mission 8 the pow camp is ridiculously hard Socom 2 hardest missions Missions 4, 5,&6 can be a little challenging but not too bad at times And missions 10&11 towards the end it's pretty more harder Socom 3 hardest missions I would say it's some of the Poland missions that are all bit more challenging like towards the end
So yeah the missions in socom 1 that's are harder is some of the missions in Thailand but the Thailand missions aren't too bad but in the Congo area the pow camp is very ridiculous and hard and the Turkmenistan missions 10, 11 & 12 are very very very harder And in socom 2 the RAFB missions in Brazil are a little challenging but later on the last area in Russia the Russian force Majoge missions are very very very harder the lockdown mission 10 and the Guided Tour mission 11 are so very harder especially mission 11 Guided Tour is the most hardest And of course in socom 3 the the last area in Poland the Poland missions can be so hard
When playing socom as a kid, there were so many times where I was shit scared 😂 I was stuck on the POW mission forever, I never got passed it until I replayed the game like 10 years later lol, I play arma now, its basically socom on crack, cant wait for arma 4, the funniest shit was on the first mission on the ship, there was a guy that would run back and fourth screaming uurrraahhhhh 😂
hardest missions can be beaten with 100% objective score pretty easily if you use patience and team positioning. Took me many tries. Watched @NWG socom playthrough in admiral difficulty and giving BOOMER smoke grenades really help for knife kills. Boomer is so shit at being a teammate. The only exception is Deathblow, that mission you have to position your bravo team creating crossfires, then you have to go super fast.
@@ISAFTanagerYamato yes. Slow is the way this game is supposed to be played I think, they are seals after all. But most don't have the patience to play like that.
I've been struggling with the missions in socom 1 on the LT rank it's very hard I was stuck on Pow Camp for a while in the Congo location and I did get stuck on the mountain assault mission and I was stuck on the mouth of the beast the mission in Turkmenistan that was very hard and now I'm struggling with Death Blow the 12th and final mission in socom 1 on Lieutenant Junior grade difficulty so hard it's a very hard Mission I can't even get past it with the enemies shooting me and my teammates and killing all of us and fell in the mission it's a ridiculous mission in this rank
Great vid, however my only issue is actually deathblow and the 2 minute drill. The 2 minute drill works more often than not on Lt junior grade and below. On the harder difficulties, it's more tedious to do because of increased AI and enemy spawn points.
Most of the socom 1 missions are so hard but socom 2 is a little harder on the last few missions towards the end and socom 3 can get a little harder on the last few missions
Mission 10 in SOCOM made me quit for a while, I almost beat the level, the exit was right in front of me. But an AI that was hiding BEHIND A STAIRCASE, DROPPED ME!!! After weeks of playing that same mission, I final get to see the extract and lost all progress.
Yeah socom 1 mission 10 prison break is hard that's the Turkmenistan location those missions are very hard Lockdown in socom 2 mission 10 is pretty hard too that's the last location in that game is in Russia those missions are so challenging but fun to play
The easiest r the socom 3 missions to me even when i first played that game as for socom 1 and socom 2 in the first game the hardest mission to me Is the pow mission especially since they can shoot u before u even see where there firing u and also since u gotta extract the pow out in the open but in socom 2 the hardest one is definilly the embasy mission
It's a difficult one and I'm stuck on it too, but I get through the beginning now like a piece of cake up until the POW camp with Magnus. Here's my tactics so far: I go ak-74 for unlimited ammo off corpses and give the fellas M4A1s, unsilenced. Use frags often. I can get to Magnus's camp in 3 mins with this strategy. Tell Bravo to attack up the path a bit before the big boulder and fire at will. Stand at the tree next to the rock where the guys come down the path, toss a grenade far through a tree up the slope. With some practice, the frag will kill both guards standing there and Bravo usually kills the 2 patrolling ones. If they didn't, full auto them. Also keep full auto on, get ready to blast every corner. Now stay behind the tree where the 2 standing guards died, a guy should be running towards you if he didn't spot you from the path. Then I toss a frag behind the rock path to the left, run and gun the sentry while next to the rock you just fragged, and kill both guys who come down the rock path. I dont bother spotting the sentry, my time is more important. Run right between trees and tell bravo to follow. Look down dirt path before going up rock face on the right, kill the guy. If you don't, you might just want to restart because he's machine gunned me so many times from afar. Run up rock side, blast sniper tower guy, run towards the right but then come back up and wait for 2 mercy to come. Full auto them. Continue on the right side of the map and frag or shoot the guy by the tree. That causes fhe other guy on the right to run at you, kill him. Then kill the guard tower guy. Now for Magnus' camp. Honestly, the spawns I've gotten here get quite random so I bait and wait, then bait a little more and wait. Usually it works, other times I have to get a weird angle and pick the guys off by popping in and out of cover. Very sketchy, but thats how I do it. The next part I fail at nearly every time, I never tried smokes before so I'm going to give that a go. If it really does mask your movements, then it's your best friend for those cabins. Those are a pain. The caves are also sketchy.
I remember playing a mission about a plane. Can't remember much but we i remember raging alot. I also remember that we have to stop the plane but idk. Can anyone help me with the name? Trying to replay.
The last mission death blow is too easy. Tell bravo to wait then just go all out kamikaze bum rush your objects before the terrorist load in your screen lol
What’s “version2”? Isn’t this the first socom? Was there more versions of this Socom? When I played this game I only beat it once and the second time through I couldn’t get past the ambassador’s wife hostage mission so I could never unlock all missions to play anytime at my leisure.Im still mad about that 😂
@@railshock448 they are also some more hard missions in socom 2 on the upper ranks I think that mission in socom 2 where you have to go inside the dam I think that's the 6th mission in socom 2 but that mission is pretty challenging on the higher ranks of difficulty

Yea. Socom 1 got nasty. Kind of like it though, makes it more intense and rewarding. The game seems to go more for realism (except for the random enemy's teleporting out of thin air and aimboting you).

Yeah that mission is very hard near the end
Yeah these missions in socom 1 in the Congo and Turkmenistan locations are very much more harder
Especially on LT Jr rank
@@joshshipp2979 I never made it past the second Thailand mission on LT Junior
@@SavagePatch115 yeah those missions in Socom 1 are so hard the Thailand missions the Congo missions and the turkmenster emissions and also in the second Socom game the later missions are pretty hard a little challenging at times but yeah I agree in the first Socom game in the Thailand location those missions are really hard at times
I played this game religiously growing up and never would’ve thought this game had such a cool genuine community that cared and supported such a game. Does anybody know how I could get my Hands on this game and play it in 2023 ? That would be awesome.
Temple in Socom 1 was rough.
I remember the last mission of Socom 1 just arming everyone with M60s and running & gunning. Loved it.
My list would be:
1.) Prison Break - To me this is the hardest mission because it's very dark, and it's extremely difficult to tell exactly when you have cleared the prison because terrorists come at you in huge numbers at varying times.
This is when SOCOM 1 really started to get difficult
5.) Mountain Assault - This mission is pretty straightforward and the enemies are highly predictable, however its difficult just because of the sheer amount of enemies that get thrown at you and how deadly accurate they are on this mission.
Always thought prison break was near impossible.
😂😂😂😂😂 this game sometimes didn’t even make sense but I used to play this all the time and still do
POW Camp is tormenting the fuck out of me. Well that’s SOCOM for you.
*Prison Break is still the hardest and most soul crushing on ANY difficulty*
Nope because there is a way to skip the hind and the terrorist camp before extraction
Hey man whats up nice video and i gotta say theres definilly some missions in socom combined assault that harder to me
I would get so stoned and play this as stealth fully and tactical as possible
im trying to rack my brain bcuz i dont remember socom 2 being difficult but im not sure if i ever beat it on the highest difficulty, pretty sure i did tho. that one mission where you start in the jungle and infiltrate the underground bunker is the only thing that comes to mind
That's the stranglehold mission, and I would say it's the hardest in Socom 2
The jungle mission is in the Congo location in socom 1 and those missions were hard especially pow camp and mountain assault and the desert Turkmenistan missions are hard too and in socom 2 the hard missions on the higher ranks are the RAFB missions in Brazil are pretty challenging and I think the mission in Socom 2 mission 9 Against the tide is pretty challenging the last mission in Algeria and missions 10&11 Lockdown and Guide tour is pretty hard especially on the higher ranks of difficulty
Hey man what’s up nice video and I gotta say there definitely some missions in socom combined assault that’s harder to me
11.Shepard Socom combine assault...The reason why I say this because enemies have heavy weapons and the chopper can kill your whole team
10. State security socom 3...State security look easy but on the hard difficult it’s Challenging because enemies can kill you in a snap that’s all I have to say
9.Underfire socom fire team bravo the reason why I say this because enemies can Spawn whatever because capture ratbate and go to the extraction point enemies go swarming you on the hard difficulty level
8.songbird socom fire team bravo this mission was the hardest of all the reason I say this because enemies are every where when you the informant call sign magpie or whatever his name was the reason I say this because enemies can spawn wherever when you get magpie and enemies can kill you in a minute
7. Against all tide socom 2 this mission is easy and hard at the same time because first you get the vip and go on the roof and defend for 10 minutes and enemies can snip you any where and go in the front door and can go in the glass window
6.Urban sweep socom 2 this mission is hard because for 1 you gotta clear the Area of all threats and capture a enemy leader and if any enemies kill the leader mission fails
5.chokehole socom combine assault this mission is hard the reason I say this because first you gotta blow up a weapons cash and blow up a tank and clear the area of enemies and on the hard difficulty enemies can Challenge you anywhere they want
4.straglehold socom 2 the reason I say this mission is because finding the lab enemies can challenge you anywhere and finding the lab turning of the lights enemies can still see you even in the dark
3.stormcloud socom combine assault mission look easy but it doesn’t play in the final objective because enemies have shotguns and can kill you easy in a snap when you have yellow heath or lower
These are in my opinion thank you for hearing my hardest missions If your seeing this comment
I love your list of socom missions you should make a video about that if you want to though
Yeah the mercs on the POW camp mission had stupid aim bot aim that made me chuck my ps2 in the basement for some years and I’m on admiral rank
My list:
1.POW Camp
2. Prison Break
3.Guided Tour
4. Lockdown
5. Mountain Assault
6. Mouth Of the beast
7. Death Blow
8.Temple at Hohn Kaen
9. City of The Forgotten.
10. RAFB drug lab
11.Brewed Chaos Socom 3
That's a great list of socom 1 and socom 2 hard missions and with socom 3 too
What I found out is that, if you use stock class and break hard left instead of right it’s ALOT easier
Socom 1 hardest missions
Mission 12
Mission 8
Mission 10
Mission 6
Mission 11
Pretty much the later missions are so hard especially mission 8 the pow camp is ridiculously hard
Socom 2 hardest missions
Missions 4, 5,&6 can be a little challenging but not too bad at times
And missions 10&11 towards the end it's pretty more harder
Socom 3 hardest missions I would say it's some of the Poland missions that are all bit more challenging like towards the end
So yeah the missions in socom 1 that's are harder is some of the missions in Thailand but the Thailand missions aren't too bad but in the Congo area the pow camp is very ridiculous and hard and the Turkmenistan missions 10, 11 & 12 are very very very harder
And in socom 2 the RAFB missions in Brazil are a little challenging but later on the last area in Russia the Russian force Majoge missions are very very very harder the lockdown mission 10 and the Guided Tour mission 11 are so very harder especially mission 11 Guided Tour is the most hardest
And of course in socom 3 the the last area in Poland the Poland missions can be so hard
When playing socom as a kid, there were so many times where I was shit scared 😂 I was stuck on the POW mission forever, I never got passed it until I replayed the game like 10 years later lol, I play arma now, its basically socom on crack, cant wait for arma 4, the funniest shit was on the first mission on the ship, there was a guy that would run back and fourth screaming uurrraahhhhh 😂
powは確かに一番難しいですね。
今中尉で2周目です。
未だ2周目のpowクリアできません(T_T)
Prison Break is the reason why I couldn't finish SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs.
Damn I have always found the last mission in Socom 1 pretty easy, but it seems like I also figured out the trick shown in the video.
Guided Tour The Only Mission I could never pass
Lucky to have PCSX2 when you have save states in case you messed up. they served as *in game checkpoint*
yea. nice when I make my videos without fearing the AI pop out of thin air and one aimbot me, ruining all progress.
hardest missions can be beaten with 100% objective score pretty easily if you use patience and team positioning.
This game is broken beyond lol but I love it bro good to come up on your videos I have all 3 socoms on my ps2
Great vid, however my only issue is actually deathblow and the 2 minute drill. The 2 minute drill works more often than not on Lt junior grade and below. On the harder difficulties, it's more tedious to do because of increased AI and enemy spawn points.
It' easy enough to just run through, it takes so little time that you can try dozens of times over and get lucky
SOCOM 1 is just bad design. If you make all the enemies spawn at the start and take out the INSTA aimbot, it should be much better
Seals engaged !!!
Yeah socom 1 mission 10 prison break is hard that's the Turkmenistan location those missions are very hard
Lockdown in socom 2 mission 10 is pretty hard too that's the last location in that game is in Russia those missions are so challenging but fun to play
How is urban sweep on there its so easy, Hydroelectric by far is hardest
I’m surprised against the tide did not make it in the list I found it too overwhelming to hold off soldiers storming the Embassy
Against the Tide is easy, just give Bravo Element M60s and run cover target on top of the stairs.
I am on Lt. Junior Grade at mission 10. I failed so many times. I do not know what it is easy strategy to get through mission 10. Any suggestions?
It's a difficult one and I'm stuck on it too, but I get through the beginning now like a piece of cake up until the POW camp with Magnus. Here's my tactics so far:
I go ak-74 for unlimited ammo off corpses and give the fellas M4A1s, unsilenced.
Your probably thinking of stranglehold 4:14
I wonder how can you get past DeathBlow on LT rank it's too difficult on that rank in socom 1 the 12th and final mission
The last mission death blow is too easy. Tell bravo to wait then just go all out kamikaze bum rush your objects before the terrorist load in your screen lol
Love the video keep it up
thanks m8
I got my ass killed by the Afghanistan level
Prison break is #1 for me
What’s “version2”? Isn’t this the first socom? Was there more versions of this Socom? When I played this game I only beat it once and the second time through I couldn’t get past the ambassador’s wife hostage mission so I could never unlock all missions to play anytime at my leisure.Im still mad about that 😂
the version 2 is an updated version of video 1 with more detail on the number 2 spot and other stuff
@@railshock448 oh ok.Thanks...Socom 1&2 were best
@@railshock448 they are also some more hard missions in socom 2 on the upper ranks I think that mission in socom 2 where you have to go inside the dam I think that's the 6th mission in socom 2 but that mission is pretty challenging on the higher ranks of difficulty
I remember playing SOCOM 2 mission 10 on the commander difficulty and I even recorded it and it wasn't that hard
There is a way to not have to fight the hind during prison break mission.
yea. you just gotta get the generator off before they sound the alarm and get to the end before 15 mins has passed.
Right after you destroyed the generator. Enemies will scream charge towards you and You still have to fight an Attack Helicopter.
But socom 2 isn't that bad but for socom 1 most of those missions are very crazy hard I'm stuck on socom 1 mission 8 pow camp on LT junior it's very hard
14:02 urehhhhheh: the sound of a loser boomer
The easiest r the socom 3 missions to me even when I first played the game as for socom 1 and socom 2 in the first the hardest mission is the pow mission especially since then shoot u even before u even see where there firing u and also since u gotta extract the pow out in the open but in socom 2 the hardest one is definitely the embassy mission
