we are in the 2020s. and that plane still stuns. designed in the early 60s and still flown today in 2020. thats a plane that is 60 years old. and with a fabulous concept never really matched, but some say copied. but hats off to the designers and the UK engineers.
He must've been right on the limit of hover time - absolutely stunning sight to see and you can see the exhaust from the turbine is the only force keeping the thing up!
I was there too - the rest of the show was relatively tame but it was worth being there to see that. This video is a good memory but the noise etc it was an awesome display to be there as you know.
Listening to this on headphones.....what on earth is that popping and banging sound the engine seems to be making at around 6 minutes? It doesn't sound healthy! Anyway, excellent aircraft, excellent display! Thanks for uploading this.
Harrier thats a beauty. a little eccentric and odd in todays war games, but a niche surprise for all adversaries. Definitely a nasty surprise if used well , if you are in the wrong side of the game you will hate this plane. If you own the plane, you know its not a game changer, but wow, you can cause havoc used well.
Que me desculpem os adeptos do F35 mas eu sou muito mais o Harrier embora aboleto se comparado ao F35 que é um caça atual o Harrier ainda é um caça incrível me parece bem mais ágil tanto no pouso como na decolagem vertical.
The Harrier never failed to give me goosebumps when it performed at the airshow, especially when it bowed to the crowd!

❤ airplane and space craft age differently not like cars.
Rolls-Royce PEGASUS engine is absolutely amazing and makes the Harrier one of the the best airshow performers

What an absolutely insane piece of hardware.
Every time i see one I'm thinking true lies, silly but brilliant film and the harrier scene is incredible.
When I was in the Marines,I saw one of these land and take off 'friggin loud".
Great footage of this Harrier Jump Jet, don't see them alot here in western Europe anymore.
It did fly on Sunday I was there , they used the spare from the static display,it was bloody awesome to see .

I have a Revell model kit BAd HARRIER GR.7 kit. And a quick build one!
Wow! The U.K. USED to make such great planes.
Why did we stop making these?
The absolute pinnacle of British made aviation technology...far ahead of its own era.
Splendid harrier not needs to never replaced.

That thing certainly CAN hover! Amazing!
Sadly there are none flying where they were conceived we really should still have at least one flying for displays 😡
They all got sold to Rich people all over the world

Some US army commentator said the site of a Harrier or A10 had the enemy disperse.
Blimey - the John Farley climb-out from the hover! The RAF always banned their pilots from even trying that one...
Probably to extend engine life. I think Farley nearly got caught out by the density altitude doing it.
vTOL at it's greatest!!😊

These people that flighty jet they're very special people and crazy in a good way
Looks like the Spanish Airforce, I think they still have a few.
Navy
It's a shame it's being replaced by the Lockheed/Yakovlev F-35B
Gran avión europeo y con una excelente tecnología y versatilidad.. lastima que a estas fechas solo nos quede el f35B yankee 😞
Physics professor it’s impossible can’t be done, RAF/NAVY pilot give me the keys, watch this
Shame it only flew on Saturday and not Sunday due to technical difficulties 😡
It did fly, they took the one from the static display and flew it a couple of slots later
@@Waxcoat They're AV8s you twat.
@@Waxcoat actually that's one from the Spanish navy
@@thejudge-kv2jk still a feckin harrier you numb nut 🤣🤣
Sad they had to get a foreign air-force to display this jet in the country of it's origin.
Down to a useless government
You can't beat the harrier never mind the shitty typhoon
That's one ugly plane
Do you Wa** owner war planes ?
Sounds a bit like Sharky commentating at the display...might be wrong.
