An example of how physics and calculus are used in everyday life. Thank goodness for that little handheld box; it was doing some serious calculating! Stay safe out there and God bless you and your crew.

Considering the weight of the drum and the short amount of time it takes to come up to speed, I was surprised to see a small composite belt doing all the work. I'd have guessed chain drive. I'll have to write down a couple of the things I learned today. 1] composite belts: *good* 2] manhole covers: *bad*
Thanks Jon, always enjoy your videos. *God bless.*

I can see why a composite belt would be used, if at speed the drum were to stop suddenly (like from hitting something) something needs to give and a belt will stretch and slip, if it was a chain it would likely break causing shrapnel. Even if the belt did fail and break it would be a lot less of a problem then a steel chain.

@@Tailss1 // Hello Tailss; I did consider that and concluded it may have a clutch or something similar; something which would allow for the sudden stops like those you described. In fact, I'd be very surprised if there isn't a clutch of some type [beit mechanical or computer controlled], simply b/c of the frequency that the drum suddenly stops rotating. Have a good day.

If you guys wanted too I bet Robert at the Old Bird Farm would Love some help with some wisteria. It went unattended for 140 years or so. Just a suggestion. I mean it would be a road trip he is located in South GA. But yeah he has a UA-cam channel check it out if you want too, He is trying to restore that farm. I mean its a Historical Landmark in the state of GA. Anyways youtuber collaborations are pretty cool if you ask me. The power of the UA-cam community is crazy. Okay well Love the content guys.

If memory serves me correctly, you have completed a 2 plane coupled dynamic balancing operation, used in mechanical analysis or vibration analysis . That was why your tech was checking for mechanical looseness and tensioning before you started, these things not corrected at the start makes it virtually impossible to correct with a 2 plane dynamic balance. Nice job guys, looks like a good piece of equipment backed by a good company.. thanks for the ride along sir.

When you temp welded everything, then made it permanent, does the additional weld add significant weight? I mean you are measuring everything in grams, so is the weight of the weld added accounted for in his math?

How critical is the balancing in one of them attachments due to how quick they ware the teeth out and teeth getting damaged during running and new teeth being added . Is this something you need to do every so many hours or every time you replace teeth.

Hello from Wv. Very interesting video. My question?? Do you ever mix types of teeth? I have double sided carbide. Some of them have chucks broken off. I think that is where my vibration comes from. What type of teeth do you like the best??? Thanks, Diesel Dan from Wv
