Most of the horses are not trotting (diagonal legs moving together); therefore, you can't post. Most of the horses are a gated breed (TN walker, Missouri Foxtrotter, etc) so the right legs (front & back) kick forward while the left legs are back. Its actually quite smooth. There aren't very many walkers where I live, so I've only riden one, but it was amazing.

A blizzard was blowing in, but he headed home anyway. The big black racked up the mountain and down again in a blowing blizzard... 36 miles. His sons poured water on his legs and boots. What did they put on the horses hooves? No one is breaking a trot. I assume what ever is on the hooves prevents this. Absurd! The horse can't canter or gallop. Very strange.
Nice to see so many walking horses. Some good riders here and some kinda rough ones. Hard to have soft hands when your seat it so loose. It's great to see everyone out having fun but remember that a horse isn't simply a tool. You are partners.
@@jayd4476 We'll, I'm coming from 4 decades of breeding, raising, training and riding horses. There is a difference between good fast...and bad fast. If your ass is slamming down on the horse's spine and your hands are jerking their mouth that's always bad.
@INCOGNITO criticism does not equal racism - I haven't seen a single comment criticizing the riders, which even mentions their race, it's got nothing to do with race, & everything to do with proper riding & animal welfare
@INCOGNITO it’s a shame that I’m wrong for being educated who rider horses, works with professional horse trainers under the pony club, and does a animal course that’s heavily based on welfare and abuse
They are trotting that is the worst way to ride a horse. Maybe one day someone will teach them how to canter or run which is the only way you can ride a horse without crushing the family Jules
Ok um trotting doesn’t hurt the horse whatsoever if you ride it correctly, although only a few people in the video rode it well. But keep in mind these are gaited horses so their gates are different from an average horse. Instead of a canter or gallop it’s like a cross between canter a trot, that would be their run. So while I don’t agree with many riders in this video, you also don’t seem that knowledgeable to be talking about it. If you never trot a horse their top line will be very undeveloped. You just need to know how to ride.
Apparently if you comment on the fact that the majority of these horses were stargazing and traveling hollow backed, with their jaws set hard or their mouths open trying to evade their bits, you are a racist. Probably if you point out the obvious problems with some riders also being far too heavy for their horses, you are not only a racist, you are prejudiced against fat people as well. I'm not going to place all the blame on the riders, many of these riders seemed to be trying to interfere as little as possible with their mounts. Unfortunately, like many gaited horses, these horses have been taught to travel hollow and strung out, and in all likelihood, primarily in straight lines. Gaited horses actually travel far better if taught to soften vertically and laterally, and get their hind ends under themselves and their backs rounding. Additionally, getting broke in the body by learning to bend, will also strengthen the gait. Then they are able to gait unfettered on the trail, no bits needed at all ultimately, and their muscles develop properly, so the incidence of lameness and soreness is reduced. One only needs of to look at the lack of correct muscle development in these poor creatures to guess that their careers will not be too long. The weak top lines, weak hindquarters, and the over developed undersides of their necks predict a life of pain for them. Pain that is often mistaken for behavioral problems. And people of all races are ofyen ignorant with horses. I see plenty of gaited horses trained incorrectly by plenty of white people. Not too long ago I heard one tell her farrier that gaited horses had to wear a special gaited horse bit to gait 🙄 And as usual, it is the horse that suffers.
@UCr0vXWUnZx26Jg1THDwyOFQ Racist? Shut the up. When heavy people tide horses it DAMAGES THEIR BACKS. You must have never been around a horses before. And that's not how you even bend a horse, that's how you damage their back which is straight up neglectful and abusive.

@@rebeccadees2300 my Saddle bred mare was bred to a Tn Walker and the foal used this gait for several steps as we were putting her in her stall...it's a natural run/ gait and the others are racking...it's a single foot gait..many are standard breeds that couldn't make it at the track so they are used under saddle
Painful to watch , lame horses , terrible riding

Ik dude I feel bad for teh horses!
Absolutely nobody knows what their doing . smh . y'all might wanna take a few classes on how to ride a horse .
Okay, so it would be safer to wear helmets. And, most of the people are good riders, but others just have a hard hand. And when you see the horse's tail up in an odd curved way, sometimes that means the horse's back is in pain.
Looks like fun. But sure looks like a lot of bit action. A little harsh on the horses mouth.
with such a community as that it would make so much sense if they formed their own sort of "pony club" activity for the youth to teach safety, general knowledge and riding skills. For some it would wind up becoming a career.
A LOT harsh on horses mouth.😡but yes I agree for sure.
I don’t see not 1 horse fighting the bit
@@ElizabethDMadison qqqrqqqqqqeeqqqqq
@@kaylabrown4699 your quite blind then the bits that are used some of them are quite harsh and most of the riders are yanking their mouths and the horses don’t seem comfortable at all

It is extremely clear that you don't ride or own horses , if you think all horses can be ridden on a loose rein ... All that "yanking on a horses mouth" talk usually always comes from a junior high school girl ... These are horses not humans and they were purchased to be ridden and enjoyed... They are well cared for but not pampered and if these videos aren't to your liking , stop forcing them on yourself

Wow I can honestly say I have never seen such a blatant disregard for a horses back and kidneys and the safety of the rider. Does know one know how to post when a horse is trotting or not to lean so far back in the saddle that your pounding on the horses kidneys. I'm not trying to be a Karen, I've tought people how to ride horses and to keep your furry friend happy and healthy for years to come and just watching this video makes me want to cry for these poor animals. They all are going to need Chiropractic work after this.
@@christinaheater2500 yes but despite this you still need proper positioning because no matter how smooth a gait is, how your sitting will affect where and how much pressure is paced on the horses back. Not to mention some of these riders have very harsh hands. I just think some of them should get their tack refitted, and go seek instruction from a professional instructor as this is really damaging for the horse.
@@karladougherty5694 true, but I don't think its fair to judge some based on a couple seconds worth of video.
@@christinaheater2500 it’s a couple seconds of a video, but I’m sure that trail ride lasted hours with the same type of riding. I am in no way judging the person themselves but most would benefit from more knowledge and instruction from a professional

You sound jealous and envious .. My my my.....
Because they not educated and the owner of these horses isn’t either due to most of them having extremely harsh bits, unfitted tack, and some if you look closely look lame to me
I’ve never seen so many people WHO CANT RIDE in one place!
Yet somehow they kept in formation and didn't bounce around too much... this wasn't a dressage performance you know
Your not suppose to bounce around in a walker. They’re suppose to be smooth ride, but that’s all you can do with then. Now when you have a non walker you can run, jump and dressage. Now that my boy does. He’s an all around horse.

Poor horses in amongst a bunch of 4 wheelers.
Why are they all leaning back on the horse like that
It’s called, “putting your feet on the dash”. It’s a comfortable way to ride a gaited horse & can help the horse to be smoother & faster.
For the first time to see these many black people outside the city enjoying nature and horses. I hope other black people introduce their kids to these kinds of activities.

What did they put on the horses hooves? No one is breaking a trot. I assume what ever is on the hooves prevents this. Absurd! The horse can't canter or gallop. Very strange.

@INCOGNITO criticism does not equal racism - I haven't seen a single comment criticizing the riders, which even mentions their race, it's got nothing to do with race, & everything to do with proper riding & animal welfare

Trying to make a horse run while leaning back and pulling on the reins.
@INCOGNITO not really your a shame for not knowing what correct riding is and this is abuse and not riding
@INCOGNITO it’s a shame that I’m wrong for being educated who rider horses, works with professional horse trainers under the pony club, and does a animal course that’s heavily based on welfare and abuse
@INCOGNITO you probably don’t even know what lead changes is, collection, rein, diagonals, half halts, contact, on the bit and they are the basics
I love the sound of horses racking
I feel so bad for these animals. Who taught these people how to ride? They should be fired.
I have never seen horses look so uncomfortable while running like they are here
Apparently if you comment on the fact that the majority of these horses were stargazing and traveling hollow backed, with their jaws set hard or their mouths open trying to evade their bits, you are a racist.
