Well done. Enjoyed that. You hit the ball well with a lovely draw. The 6th/7th par3 birdie was beautiful. One thing I would recommend is when you are out of position take your medicine and accept the bogey. 1 hole you tried to force a low iron through 2 trees and it went sideways. Just chip out onto the fairway. Another hole you were in a fairway bunker and looked to be hitting a tough long iron and went into the trees. Take your medicine, Hit a PW out of the fairway bunker onto the fairway and accept a bogey. Hope you don’t mind me pointing this out. Once you accept the bogey rather than force a par you get more 1 putt pars then double or triples. Cheers
I agree with you. My course management holds me back as much as my putting. My next video I did a great job at it, but when you watch my vlog at Tidewater, I made some terrible choices.
Playing here next weekend. This was a great view of the course and I now have some good ideas for my round. Strantz courses are never easy. I'd be very happy with that round. This is the first time I've seen one of your videos, but you've earned a sub. Great stuff, keep it up!
Great job! That is on my list I plan to play this summer. Just down the road from Caledonia and True Blue is Pawley’s Plantation. I highly recommend it!
Love the video. We visit in the spring and once my son is just a couple yrs. older we will definitely try to play this one. On a side note I'm adding that up to +10? I'm used to adding up bigger #'s 😆Unless your app is auto kicking the triple to double for handicap.
Ahh I screwed up the final scorecard! I inputted the score to be a bogey on 14 instead of a par. That number should be a 4, not a 5. Thank you for the sub! Caledonia and True Blue, with is literally across the street, are two courses your son will love.
True Blue which is right next to Caledonia, Dunes Golf and Beach Club, TPC Myrtle, and although I havent played it, I heard that World Tour Golf Links is in really good condition.
Nice round. Anytime you break 80 is a good day. If you don't mind, what tools or software are you using to capture the video and ball tracking? Thank you
We’ll be there in July, thanks for the video! I’m still chasing breaking 80, so hopefully I can put it together and match your score. By the way, what irons are you playing? Thx
Its a little easier to break 80 since its a par 70 course. Good luck! Im using Mizuno HMB-20 irons in the video. I actually have another set of Mizuno irons. They're the 225 irons and it's my favorite set I've owned.
@@kensucksatgolf Wow, that is truly impressive. Haven't experienced working with drones myself, but just thinking about how much extra stuff that needs to be set up and framed while ALSO playing somewhat decent golf. Phew :-)
Great question! I played Whistling Straits years ago before I started this channel and that by far is the best experience I have ever had on a golf course. I gotta go with that.
I played this course a couple years ago in June. Probably the most scenic and beautiful course I've ever played.
The one downside to playing in the winter is that I didnt get to see the foliage that Caledonia is known for.
Awesome production quality, and Ken does NOT suck at golf. Nice video! Playing here in a couple months and nice to see it played through.
Great video editing and a really nice round of golf. I play Caledonia every May on a golf trip. that course can surely eat you up. Nice job man!
Appreciate it! I do wish I played it in season since I heard the course looks beautiful
This content is way too good for you to just have 270 subs... im expecting your gonna blow up soon, great stuff!!
Thank you!

Thank you! My main goal with my vlogs is to concentrate on the course as much as my play. So I appreciate the comment.
Great putting Ken! Love the courses down in SC.
Caladonia is spectacular. Love playing there
That 3rd green is a trip. Looks like they can vary the length by 100yds just through pin placement.
Yea I thought i stuck it close when i hit it. You dont see the depth of the green from the tee box.
Hope you play Royal New Kent in VA. Another Mike Strandz.

Yes that is on my list when I go back!

I love this course! like walking in heaven on earth.
I'd love to be able to play the way you do
Have played this course multiple times. Beautiful track. I just think it’s a little over priced in season.
79 is a great score at that course especially with that strong wind.
Thank you!
Great round! When does the rough start to green up around there?
I would say its probably in April. Temps get in the 70-80s.
Nice round Ken
What courses do you recommend from the Myrtle area?
True Blue which is right next to Caledonia, Dunes Golf and Beach Club, TPC Myrtle, and although I havent played it, I heard that World Tour Golf Links is in really good condition.

I use an iphone13 in 4K. And ShotTracerPro for the tracers, although i may start using another software. Its not as good as it used to be.

@@kensucksatgolf thanks for the reply! I got new Ping i525s last year and it came down to those or the 225s, solid clubs 👌🏻
I enjoyed the content and your commentary. Are you filming this on your own with the drone as well? If so, that's impressive multitasking.
I did! Its a lot easier when no one is on the course. I think next time Im going to have the drone rotating so the shot doesn't look so static.
@@kensucksatgolf Wow, that is truly impressive. Haven't experienced working with drones myself, but just thinking about how much extra stuff that needs to be set up and framed while ALSO playing somewhat decent golf. Phew :-)
Well done sir! Soon you can upgrade the name of your channel to something like "Ken is actually not too bad at golf"...
Wait till you see my course vlog at Tidewater. I come back to Earth pretty quickly.
@@kensucksatgolf great course i go up to myrtle beach a few times a year and i actually prefer tidewater over caledonia
You do anything but suck at golf. Also love the way you deliver the course and your commentary style. Subscribed.
If you go to Myrtle and don't play this at least once your missing something!
The ball did a 180 not a 360. Decent round. Gotta work on that swing speed tho. Looks like you’re half asleep with those lazy pokes.
Of all the courses you've played so far if you had to play one last one, which would you choose?
Great question! I played Whistling Straits years ago before I started this channel and that by far is the best experience I have ever had on a golf course. I gotta go with that.
