In English there is a term “stick in the mud” for people who are dull and hate fun and change, but apparently one of the original meanings centuries ago was troublemaker! Maybe that is similar to 泥棒 (dorobou) meaning thief.
Because only the onyomi of this kanji is used, its phono-semantic etymology is easy to see. 木 provides the meaning of wood, whilst 奉 (onyomi hou, bu) provides the pronunciation. Thank you for the video, funny Japanese man
