I lived therefor 19 years, from to 1996 to 2015 (rented). I had a unique arrangement where the owner lived in Asia (and me being part Asian didn't hurt, I'm sure) It was the classic 50 year old beach house. 1 Bd/1bath. 180 ocean view with post card sunsets almost everyday. 1000 steps beach at the bottom of my street. In 19 years the owner raised rent ONCE! The understanding was I took care of everything, and I did. From yard to heater, new carpet, new porch stairs....it also had it's quirks but it was a great experience. Now that I am further from the coast I sure do miss it.....
