Although your content quality is good, you are not getting more views, Due to some technical issues. If you want, you can fix the problems.

Not a touristy place. You kind of nailed it on the head. It is for rich locals. Exclusive. You have no businsess being there as a homeless person. Or a middle to upper middle class person, except if you are a barrista at one of those coffee shops. It is for those with 8 figures in assets. Santa Monica is the home of the homeless but Pacific Palisades really does not have the assets that homeless (mostly drug addicts) are looking for. The key is zoning and streetscape planning so that the riffraff stay away from the richies. No public transportation. No public places with access to services homeless like to support them. Limited free parking, limited public sidewalks, limited public bathrooms, limited public high trafficked places to beg. That shopping district you are walking through in the beginning looks like private property that they can sweep out the loitering homeless.

I am really wondering who has 1 million to 1.5 to buy homes. That's an insane amount of money even for people living in Glendale. Even if you could have a mortgage loan, you won't find many jobs that would allow pay that monthly payment even if you are in management.

Yes if you move to LA or southern California you will regret it unless you are rich. Northern California is awesome. Clean air , low crime , lots of water, beautiful country , nice people , outdoor activities. IV lived in Oregon and Alaska both awesome California too

Everything you say is correct. This only applies if you can afford it! You are correct $150K a year would be the minimum! However, you did not mention the more you make they more they take. At $150K per year you will pay a massive amount of that in taxes! In other areas you can lead a nice life on half that and you don't pay massive taxes! Also, no mention of the extreme anti business regulations.

I travel all over the world and visited California last year. Now it is a dream to move there. The nature, people, weather - amazing! One day my dream will come true❤

We need to lose the corrupt leadership in LA County and California overall. Born and raised in Long Beach CA I am horrified at how it’s changed, not for the better. Sorry everyone. My opinion.

I'm a fellow Brit who has rented in Long Beach for over ten years. It seems like we appreciate it because it's got more of a European style culture compared to orange county or LA proper. It has a community feel and walkability. It also has architecture with history/ character, which orange county has none of. But, it feels more intimate than L.A proper, more of a community feel and culture. Orange county is a void of culture and history. Every house looks the same etc. As a European I appreciate a bit of culture! But, if you want pristine streets and no noise, then as you said it's a city and you are not going to get that here. There's noise, there will be homeless, there will be life and traffic and people around. I have never had an issues with crime here. I've never felt unsafe. I feel unsafe when I go to downtown L.A. But, never in Long Beach. That being said, the beach and ocean is not as beautiful here. The break water really spoils that. Compared to elsewhere in LA or OC the beach and ocean is not that stunning and there are no waves
