I'm a (white) American who visited Soweto just prior to the start of the pandemic. It's an interesting place. I went to South Africa not to safari but to learn more about what it was like under Apartheid and how it has changed. I was 24 when Apartheid ended and grew-up hearing a lot about protests and unrest in Soweto. There's a lot of interesting 20th century history in that region, from the Rhodesian Bush War to the Border War. I sought out musicians whom had recorded rock music and protested Apartheid, one was very surprised when I turned-up at the brewery he owned outside of Johannesburg. I had always been interested in the interesting history of South Africa, I had a very good time there.
I love your mama reaction. «There’s gotta be other sports, don`t waste that talent». Wisdom of the month! You`ve got the mindset of a coach. Thanks for sharing ❤
I guess the point is, when chips are so down in life that one feels it can't get worse, even death would be sweeter... once a human soul gets to that point, then there's nowhere it cannot go.
I tried that when I was a kid because my friendz were doing it. One day my mom's friend next door saw me ( I didn't see her). When I came back from school later my mom and my uncle (dad's brother) were waiting for me at the gate. They greeted me so nicely, we went inside and they lockef the door behind me. They took turns beating my ass and telling me to show them the tricks I do on the train. Lets just say I never went near a train after that. 😢😂
In all dangerous mission a father will always be in two minds depending on if the wife is around or not 🤣 he said: okay let's do it, let's climb on top of the train. he forgot the wife is there, and she was quick to say " No let's not" 🤣🤣. I watched that 3 times, I'm still laughing 🤣
Literally dancing with the devil., Every step must be perfect 1 mistake you die or loose a leg. We used to do trainsurfing to and from school. A lot of my peers died, Ive had 3 near death experiences while doing it I still bear some scars. This thing is addictive. Im glad that in the new trains we have now its almost impossible to trainsurf
As an American I was shocked at how inexpensive it is there. It would definitely be a scenic place to live especially along the coast. Has the issue of security and violence calmed down a bit? That's the only thing I'd imagine would be difficult about living there, having to secure everything.

I'm sure this happened before Covid, now there's new trains, people are behaving now, no nonsense anymore.
Those trains are fast, and some of these kids die, thats why they started the documentary at a cementry

I live in Soweto and alot of kids died from this
I used to see it everyday after school
A lot of youngsters die doing train surfing and some no longer have their limbs they're permanently disabled.
" I'm a mother"🤣🤣🤣🤣 your facial expression was priceless when you said those words
There are new trains now and they have new rules, I believe this was before covid
