Nice fun transition on this budget build . More advanced techniques are used now . Water still gets under the skatelite and rots the wood underneath . I use a 1/4 square notch trowel to apply ultrabond eco980 waterproof adhesive to the back of my precut skatelite for a waterproof seal . And all halfpipes are 12” off ground for an air gap to let the frame work dry quicker

Good BUT... Next time, or when refurbishing the ramp in a few years, apply the top layer diagonally (45° to the coping). It's a lot more measuring and cutting, but there will be no kinks to ride over and way less breakage of the edges near the plywood seams ;)

That's an impact driver you're hearing. Very different. There's probably some stripped screws, but the 'clicking' is supposed to happen. That's how impact drivers work.

Me and my friends spent $400 on wood to build a really nice mini-ramp in the backyard. The day after it was built the landlord saw it and said it needed to be gone in 3 days or kicked out. I'll never forget the short but sweet time we had with that ramp. RIP 😢

the flow seems off on this ramp, the transitions aren't long enough or maybe needs a longer flat section. seems they just keep losing speed or something idk
I was thinking something was also a bit off. I thinking maybe its just not high enough?
ramp needs to be about another half foot taller or the flat section is too long for 2 1/2 foot tall. Dunno if it was only me, but the coping seems to stick bad, not smooth at all.
the ramp is just too small. would be so much better 2 feet higher.

It’s nice and mellow, they aren’t dropping hard or being aggressive, it looks like 10’ flat bottom with a 6’ radius .. I’ve built a 8’ flat with a 7’ foot radius that’s a bit faster and tighter , but I found the first one to be easier to skate , but’s it’s all preference

I just finished my mini..3' tall 12' wide 24' long with a 7'6" transition radius. Every other ramp I've built I used a 6' radius but this one is rad and mellow enough for the kids to learn.

Hey I was wondering what your transition radius height was?. I’m looking at building a 2 and half foot tall ramp myself :)
Nobody is saying but by eye I’m saying a 6’ radius . Typically you either do a 6 or 7 . I like 6 but with higher coping and if you want greesy boardslides wax your deck (ramp deck) helps the wheels slide better
