This was just too much dopeness!!!Loved every bit of this showcase of real life projects! Definitely next level bro! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Keep em’ coming! 🔥
I hope all "film" UA-camrs big or small see this comment but this video right here, not including all your other insightful videos you output, make you one of the best and ACTUAL filmmaker on YT right now! You don't simple talk about gear and end with a "would I recommend this?" lackluster video, you give us the behind the scenes, your challenges, obstacles, and how you overcame them, and you legit work in the film industry!!! Please future "film" youtubers take note!!! STOP with the gear reviews!!! UA-cam videos and IG Reels should be 5% gear, 95% results!! Do not simply show us the gear, show us what you can produce with it: the image quality, tons of B roll (not of the gear itself!), and go out of your room, ehh "studio" and make something!!! We need to change the format and this channel right here along with a few others have found that new format!!!
Bro you have no idea how much this comment means to me. This video is the type of videos I've been wanting to make but I wasn't sure if it would work for UA-cam. Thanks you for the kind words. I will continue to try and raise the bar!
@@bwashmedia your work and your videos are an inspiration to many of us! You put in the endless hours and I don't know you in person but from your content to how you present yourself, I can say you are without a doubt a HONEST human being! Don't stop, make it to the top, and I'll be looking forward to the day you decide to put a film up on the big screen and I'll take all my friends to my local theaters and go watch it in your honor 🙏
that was a blast. I didnt stop smiling, and for many reasons. first and not the least, this was "production pron" in the purest sense. the gear and the excitement was like a film in itself, this production of the behind the scenes was amazing. Thanks for not waving off the difficulties that really come with these shoots (and im sure there were quite a few more that didnt make the cut ha ha). Thanks for the inspiration and thanks for contributing to the community. Keep on keeping on and I pray for the best in your future Brandon.
Brandon, for years I’ve loathed watching UA-cam video after UA-cam video covering the gear I look forward to affording some day, only for the reviewer to ruin my excitement and motivation by showing off macro flower shots and ultra basic b-roll. I personally wished filmmakers on this platform would review new camera tech by putting it through it’s paces on real client work accompanied with behind the scenes b-roll footage. This, this right here is exactly the content I wish I could binge watch all day. You’ve inspired me to get off my ass and make my own in-depth review videos on this platform. Thank you Brandon, what an incredible video!
This is video was perfect. This is the type of content we need as filmmakers. Watching this was like a breathe of fresh air. Please make more. Blessings
How to know you’ve taken your production company to the next level: do a shoot that calls for the BOLT. Well done getting the shot. I want to say…I too love that RED went with CF EXPRESS on the V-Raptor. These cards are insanely fast.
Thanks for this dude. Making stuff and filming behind the scenes takes effort. Also thanks for not just posting videos of camera and lenses that is 97% of creators videos... ah this camera and lens so cool. Cheers!
Awesome. Simply amazing. THIS is what is needed..equipment on locations dealing w real world issues! Love this for filmmakers to see how and what to deal w on film locations and real projects. EVERYTHING goes sideways at some point and helping people understand this is part of the process and everything is but slick and perfect as planned is essential! Love this. Question- what was your Raptor’s iso ‘range’ for the night concert shots to get clean darks as well as highlights? Awesome work!
Nice one Brandon, enjoyed this video. I tried getting a Raptor earlier this summer but the cost just wasn’t worth it. You have the projects they justify it but here in Ireland I just wouldn’t have that work.
First of all THANK YOU for your always kick ass content! Now the question I have is do you think the Komodo could have handled the concert footage in particular? Would it have looked similar…decent at least? What do you think?
The more i watch your video, the more I want to move in the RED ecosystem. Could you make a video about what workstation setup you are using, especially to deal with the 8K resolution. Mostly what kind of storage are you using to store all those big files. Thank you
your the best and so inspiring, please i always see this white backdrop in most studio and when am searching for it online its hard to find, please can you help me where i can find it?
I love a lot about the RED camera lines, but to be completely honest, I would feel insane picking a camera for a week of important projects that didn't have a dual media slot on it. There is no single card on the market that I would trust everything to, at least in my production experience.
Using the Ronin 2 without the crossbar is about the most dangerous thing you could do with it. No safety, and terrible stabilization due to the top weight of the camera creating play in the baseplate. That's why the footage is so shaky. Also, you can damage the Ronin... Your team should be more careful!
Cheap Propaganda. It's ok to use any tool one desires, but this entire piece is a bad infomercial about RED. Sure no other camera would have able to produce those clips, right? Which is why we don't use REDs in the EU (too unreliable, no proper professional support).
An actual creative, not just a gear reviewer. I'm here for this!
I'll try to keep it up.
Exactly!
BRO! this video! I love it
Thanks man that means a lot coming from you as I love your content too!

This is an absolutely insane video. I instantly fell in love with the editing and overall completeness. Please keep on creating!
dude this video was sick, so much information and real time examples! Imma need a longer version for each of the shoots
You just leveled up. Thank you for showing big AND smaller work of yours. This is super valuable. Gives hope to a beginner.
Beautiful video. Thanks for blessing us with your presence.
thanks for the support and watching

@@bwashmedia how did u pull off the festival? Do u gotta black shade the camera every time you change the frame rates?
Sure I guess, if you totally ignore the fact that this is basically a Red V-Raptor ad. I hope it was a good payday.
This is the pinnacle of an in-depth review. You’ve set the benchmark. RED would be silly not to reach out to you after this.

Great job showing how versatile this camera is, man 👍 You made shooting hand-held look easy
Seriously incredible work
Well done Brother. I AM PROUD of you.

Single Brandon is on one. Happy the opportunities met the convergence of your skills increasing and freedom as well. 🔥

This was an incredible video, so well put together and very engaging. I’d love to use a raptor one day, it’s a dream camera!
Nice work mate 🙌🏼
Thanks for the well made video about making well made videos. Looking forward to your channels growth
informative on the red raptor.
great insight
thanks!
Excellent work my guy
Great content. Would you recommend the canon r5 or Sony Fx3 for documentary work
They are both great cameras. It comes down to brand preference but the XLR handle can be very helpful when capturing audio for docs.
@@bwashmedia thanks
This was awesome!
Best red commercial 😛
8:45 “WHAT IS THAT MELODY?!?!?!?”
Great composition of yourself mate
Like your setup 👌
Thanks 👍
I’m not really apart of the video production world but I very much enjoyed this video. Great job❤️
Unbelievable.

Great video ! Now I want to attend a Marshmallow concert :-)
What camera is being used for bts footage?
Which Smallhd monitor do you use?

Dude you are such an inspiration to me. You shot a marshmello concert?! I gotta know how that came about. Im so jealous. Fking insane!
I’m saving my pennies for this. 3,200,000 Pennie’s but saving none the less
Bro save a bit extra for the monitor lol!
@@bwashmedia Hahaha that bad huh?
Alright! You sold it very well, I will definitely buy one... In 30-40 years when I will have de budget xD
I’ve literally used every song in this video for sports highlights! Great minds!
does it have autofocus?
I wish the Komodo shot type Bs man. Not sure what they were thinking with the CF cards sooooooo expensive
Man I wish it was a 6k sensor.
RED Ambassador? Everything is perfect? Really ;)
Those lasers scared me. A lot. Fried chicken is awesome, fried sensors are not lol
Of course, by backfire you mean discover potential pitfalls without risking cameras.
I like the vid. It just comes out saying to shoot everything in slow motion…
Missed opportunity to rig the V-Raptor to a Ford Raptor
Haha
I feel like it should be mentioned that this camera is $24,000 for the body alone.
Why wouldn't you bring a second or thrid DOP for shooting high profile talent at a festival? Bonkers to me, especially when you had someone doing BTS
5:55 Just a tad out of focus 🤣

Because it’s the most expensive? 😮

that food shoot is some unnecessary shit....its food, you never wanna throw it around unless its a fight, please loan me $50k for a Red please
