The show is always better with your participation. I directed so many newbees to your channel and they were all excited Thanks for everything you do for our community my friend !
It's always great when you put these Bonsai show videos out and you do such a great job...Thanks so much...
Always nice to see young trees to bonsai shows. If they have only hi-end trees my eyes produce sparkles but i will never have the chance to make one like that.at least in this lifetime.so watching more "down to earth trees" makes me wanna give it a try!!!thank you for sharing with us!!😊😊
That was an amazing variety of perspectives on Bonsai! Everyone seemed to understand and apply "traditional" bonsai theory, without being bound by it, and the sheer variety of artistic ideas made this maybe my favorite ahow you've been to! In the bigger shows, it seems most people wait until their tree looks perfect, i.e. traditional, but in this one no one was afraid to show off their creativity.
I like the name display mini easel with detailed information 👌 😊
I love the broken pot composition, very imaginative!
What a fun venue. Great show, thanks for sharing,
it was great to see your own trees among the many other well presented displays Nigel ..
I really enjoyed your video of the show!! Thank you for all the close ups and telling of the species of the trees!! I am a beginner and it was amazing to know what I was looking at. So many show videos do not state what tree they are showing, so it was very nice that you did. Thank you!
Oh wow! This show, although you said is busy. Didn't look and crowded or overwhelming as most other shows! Thank you so much for filming! Jay complemented your show with wonderful still photos. He sure has a talent for stills! There were a few cool trees there that I might just add to my "List" LOL... There were some really neat viewing stones there.
Great to see you at the market on Saturday! It was a big honor to participate in the same show as you Nigel!! Thanks for all the lessons and advice over the years. 🙂
Your displays were truly inspirational to me, Eric! Great work!
@@thebrightsidepotteryandbonsai Thanks so much, Chris! Really enjoyed meeting you and seeing all of your amazing pots!
Excuse me mister, are you the guy who made the tree stand we see on jade tree at 00:20:45 ? If so, are you seeling some tree stands ??? can we see you live or something ? And btw the color of the pot and the ground are perfect, it's just art ! ( the jade is good looking too but the ground /pot / stand is breathe taking )
Hi there, thank you so much for the nice comments! Yes, I did make the stands, but I haven't gotten to the point of selling any yet. Maybe by the next show?! As for seeing me live, I don't have a UA-cam channel or anything, but Nigel was nice enough to work on some trees with my wife and I.... here's his playlist of our videos: ua-cam.com/play/PLQouTWwmTQowe41xdAEhA1uIbqy2-Tb4J.html&si=tb_H5UtGRLps26oE
Thank you
Thanks Penny!!
Eric's stand, wow, so nice ! outstanding
I agree, Eric's trees and displays were top notch!!
Thanks for the plug Nigel. It was my first Bonsai show , but won't be the last. You are most welcome to th blue pot! I have leared so much from watching your videos, it's a small token of appreciation! Great to see you at the show!
Thanks again Chris, I really enjoyed the show and everyone there spoiled me that day!!!
The show looked wonderful. Thanks for sharing all the trees and pots and the entire experience.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed the show as much as I did!!
❤
You do such a good time when you are filming in the bonsai shows.
I think it's cool to see trees in training on shows. Just don't show winners all the time.
Thanks, nigel! And congrats on the new pot. I think you have a tree in mind when you picked it. But I can not guess which tree your are putting in it?
What a wonderful show ❤
Amazing diverse display of trees with really lovely pots... Thanks so much for sharing Nigel 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Banner, quite a variety of exotic trees at the show!!!
Great show with so many cool trees. Excellent!
Thanks Tom, lots of interesting varieties of trees!!!
That amur maple has a heart on the trunk!!!
I'm curious if it was carved or if the branch actually grew that way.
If you liked Jabuticaba, I have sent you some seeds a couple of years ago. They are viable for several years and they were freshly harvested from mine. 😉
Accent plant @ 13:16 appears to be Trichodiadema bulbosum, a way cool succulent from South Africa❤
Yes! They get very small blue flowers too!
@@thebrightsidepotteryandbonsaiCool pot to Nigel! I had only magenta flowers on mine.
Thanks so much!!!! A very cool plant!!
👍👌👌
Hey Nigel, I asked a question on the Port forest video but I think it was too old to see. Can you let me know how often you water your Ports over the winter? They look so amazing so early in the season. Mine thrive outside all summer and then they fight to hang on all winter, but whatever you're doing is clearly working! What a great looking show! Your Ports showed up very well on display as usual!
Great Pot!! I wonder if your birthday pine would ever fit in there
Lol, I don't think so, but some nice tree will get an awesome pot!!
I saw you there yesterday! I thought...is that that Bonsai guy?? lol But you were filming so I didnt say anything. lol Good to see you!
Next time!
Yeah Nigel, you said jabuticaba just right
This is a major specie on Brazil, and the actual name is plinia cauciflora not 'pinea', they got it wrong. but that is fine as they remembered our favorited specie
YOU SHOULD HAVE A JABUTICABA
i can send you some seeds from my tree but it is a quite slow growth and hard to clone specie so (0.08% cutting success rate) i think you and the Bonsai Zone deserve something more mature, anyways just let me know it you want some seeds so i find a way to send you
but your pronounce is correct, it surprisingly correct :)
Thanks for sharing the show with us
The really cool thing about the jaboticaba is that it blooms and bears fruit on its trunk and the surface of the branches. Apparently very common in Brazil where they press the fruit for juice.
The "False Holly" Osmanthus heterophyllus is actually a Malpighia coccigera or Singapore holly.
Thanks Jimmy. good to know, I'm sure I'll get one in the future!!!
It's possible the plant listed at 6:24 is mislabeled. It shows Portulacaria Afra, however I believe it's a Crassula Undulatifolia
Thought the same.
Sure looks like some type of Crassula Arborescens variety
Middlesexy ❤
Ha! Ha! I've never heard it called THAT before! 😅
Were there double accent plants on display with some of the trees? 4:34
Middle what 😳
Lol!!
