Really enjoyed watching your travels round London thanks. In about 2005 I was travelling around South London and boarded a train at a station called Smitham which no longer exists. Do you recall whereabouts it was?
Smitham is alive and well but now called Coulsdon Town, which better reflects where it actually is. As well as the Tattenham Corner service there are also trains that terminate their nowadays.
Wasn't there long. Not sure anyone noticed me. I've been avoiding platform visits as much as possible since March and keeping away from everyone on the odd occasion when I do visit. Also been travelling by bicycle apart from one trip to Hendon.
Was thinking if it was possible to extend the London Overground to East Croydon since the East London Line was extended to Crystal Palace, West Croydon and Clapham Junction. And to New Cross. And some of the Class 378s were being transferred from Euston-Watford DC Line and North London Line as the Class 710s have entered service. And the Class 710s have also started operating on the Gospel Oak-Barking Line, Lea Valley Lines and Romford-Upminster line. And Southern could replace the Class 455 and Class 313 if they were to order new trains or inherit the Class 458s from South Western Railway. That would work on the suburban services and the East Coastway Line and West Coastway Line services. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_378 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_710 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_455
Plus some of the Class 171s soon to be cascaded to East Midlands Railway but is Southern going to keep some. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_171
over 40 yrs now in love with the fair city of london, her trains and her incredible amount of beautiful trees
The 378 at 12:56 is 378 135. No idea why they've painted the unit number on the cab roof where no-one can see it.
So that if it is stolen, the police helicopter will be able to identify it. 😂
Excellent video, interesting to see the workings of different services. Well done 💙 stay safe 🤓
Another excellent video as always Boogies Trains.
Another brilliant video! I really enjoyed this :)

@@BoogiesTrains Thanks for the info and thanks for the videos you've produced.
Were the staff alright with filming at West Croydon?

@TheSurreyRailway _ROBLOX, but serves a completely different catchment area due to the way the local road network is arranged.
