Lol ..tank/ cc supports are basically left twiddling their thumbs if the team does 0 damage, dont followup and play passively letting the enemy team run over you.
pick according to the teamcomps and especially enemy supp, if your team loses even with counter matchup theres nothing any support can do, same as all characters in the game
Bloodsong with a couple runes and you become the dps even as Taric or nautilus
Lol, I do agree that picking an enchanter is practically losing off the bat right now, but catchers need so much nerfs lmao. They cause upwards of 5 seconds of cc in cases like Leona Naut, do decent damage, and are tanky as fuck. They are objectively stupidly balanced and they are just not fun to fight either. I’d rather fight a strong enchanter than even the weakest catcher in blitz anyway.

or get outscaled by any of the other enchanters with a more useful ultimate
Just dont get hooked. Skill diff the positioning and outscale. BIg ego enchanter energy
I'm sorry I might be wrong because I'm diamond and surely this guy is higher elo than me but
Isn't picking Naut or any hook champion more of a shooting yourself in foot? You easily get countered by poke supports, enchanters can shut you down, Braum/Leona/Thresh exists, Yuumi/Morgana can make you worthless in lane.
Your only win condition is feeding your other teammates by roaming but good luck with 0 impact adc on your side unless they're Samira/Draven who can bounce back somehow.
Enchanters, especially Milio, is the safest first pick because you have a response to poke, engage and can compete with utility of enchanter supports.
In my humble opinion.
Because you simply get stat checked lol. You try and push up for poke and you will get hooked and die. They will walk through your pokez proc aftershock and then goodluck.

It may be shooting yourself in the foot but it first picking an enchanter is the same except you are also on fire.
Naut leaves options open, milio closes them. While milio can prevent some poke and disengage, he can never make it into a favourable matchup.
Let's say you first pick milio, enemy picks Pyke. While he may not easily kill you, they will just push out Pyke will roam and kill mid, get prio on objectives across the map and so on. In the end you get flamed for being "useless" because there is realistically nothing you can do to answer his roams.
Let's say they pick a poke champ instead, like xerath or something.
They will most probably get lane prio and constantly poke you down slowly making sure all you can do is farm and get forced to recall and/or lose plates + map presence. While you can do nothing but try to not get further behind.
On the other hand if you pick naut first, you can answer to Pyke roams, or force him to roam, potentially force an engage early vs poke or just straight leave adc to cut your loses making it so its only 1 useless teammate bot and not 2.
If all else fails, you're still naut and have potential to make picks with ult/q and make a comeback.
If you want to pick a champ like milio, Janna would be better as she can still do everything milio can in a countered situation, but better + even follow on Pyke roams.
This all hinges on your adc not picking kaisa or vayne though, then you're fucked/just leave lane and play 4v5

Supports facility the adc in lane, out of the lane there for the team and not personal use of the adc who can't carry unless there being carried.
If u don't know what I mean it's okay, play more learn more and you'll get there.

What? He said that Naut (while hard to play and master) has an ultimate ability that has braindead usage. You are aware that the champ does more than press R, right?

The video does not only discuss how broken and braindead nautilus R is. But at least we can all agree his ult is a point and click ability that is extremely useful and requires no skill. On top of this, the video stated that even when your adc is losing/useless, you are still useful roaming mid and using said ability. The said ability sets you up. Now you are able to freely use your other abilities, therefore the whole champ becomes useful for this play. Then what does he say? Boom value. This implies the champ is versatile enough to be extremely useful regardless of some bad teammates by using 0 to no skill.
Now we will discuss the rest of the video the guy who responded to me failed to bring up for his lack of comprehension. The premise of the video is that Nautilus can be picked by anyone stuck in a first pick scenario. Why? He stated, the champion brings too much value doing something as braindead as just pressing R. Therefore anyone is capable of playing it and can first pick it. Second, he has little to no counters. So now not only is this champ bringing extreme value to the game without having any skill, he also hardly has any counters in lane. He can do nothing in lane, lose even when he likely wasn't countered since he hardly has any, and still be useful by pressing R. Sorry man it doesn't get more braindead than that.
Not to mention in his explanation, he explained that enchanters are easily countered. Meaning there must be some difficulty and nuance to them if they are easily stopped. For example in this very video that although Karma has an easy to land R Q that is braindead, in order for it to work she has to be in the correct match up, otherwise she is entirely useless and won't get to step up to poke on R Q. Proving there that Karma is already harder than Naut.
TLDR I ain't reading all that; I can't believe the league community has nautilus defenders, the hitbox is horrendous, the champ is too forgiving, extremely monkey braindead gameplay.
I played all hook champs. The only enchanter I'm will to play is milio 😆
If you get hooked on Karma by a Pyke, you shouldn't pick Karma to begin with.
That matchup is so unlosable for Karma, what are you talking about?
It’s ain’t that easy… you press R on Naut then Yi going to q, then nocturne going to w, we have champions that counter others. Doesn’t matter what you play there always need in knowing the game to be able to perform well.

the amount of ego in low levels is sooooo disgusting. no one even scans the oarch notes & everyone wants to do damage. like, play a tank & be useful let ad & mid do dmg. it's sooooo fuckin easy. i never okayed a moba & got to plat 1 in 50 games playing leona, naut, & VERY occasionally pyke
