Glad to hear your house is rid of the stomach bug. Love the idea of natural remedies. Misty you do such a wonderful job of rolling with the punches as they come. What a great role model for your children❤
You are mother, teacher, nurse, doctor, cook, maid, just everything. Unreal. Do you ever have time for yourself Mrs. Mac? I mean time you do absolutely nothing - probably never. Happy New Year to you all.
Speaking of, Misty that's an angry looking cut/scratch on your arm. You take care of yourself and tend to that cut. It looks infected. Much love and prayers for the Mac's ♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻🌹
We had an old hand crank icecream maker. My late husband use to say because I was lefthanded I was unfreezing the icecream. Glad Colby is doing well. Keep safe and healthy❤❤
I’m in cold Indiana, too! Buttoning up and hunkering down for a cold week… my husband is excited, “it’s making ice!” he yells… he likes to ice fish. 😳🙄😂
Thank you for sharing that things are not always perfect in your garden. I live in S Florida and it is very hard to grow a garden here. Every year I do a little better. I wanted to give up, but my husband keeps encouraging me to stick with it. Happy New Year
hydroponics that's awesome all your plants 🪴 look so wonderful in spite of a few. sorry Colby got sick no wonder his other channel didn't show up. prayer for healing.
It's always so nice to hear your goals. You are such a wonderful family I love walking your journey with you❤ I've been wanting to say how nice your asphalt is, how fun it must be for the children❤
It's great to see your gardens! Our growing season in New Hampshire isn't quite like yours, but we do what we can. We're looking at 20's all week for our daytime temps and teens for overnight. Not so bad except for the wind. Prayers that you & your family stay healthy and safe.
We live in NH too! We work hard in the growing seasons, agree? The gardens, dehydrator, the freeze dryer and canning fills our May thru November months but we really do enjoy it and know that it can be done. I love our seasons although I could do without “mud season” 😊
I love the kitchen composting and you putting it on your gardens !! The lettuce is beautiful . Broccoli can get black rot it’s not just broccoli it can spread to cabbage, cauliflower, radishes. It’s not always your soil ( it can be seeds) but there are so many bacteria/viruses it’s hard to tell. Rotations of boxes, soil replacement all helps but I know you know more than me. You’re amazing!! I do glad I found your family and everything you show us and share with us.
I use cooked Blackberries for vomiting It only takes a 1/4cup to start with and then a sip as needed, I also use 3 figs for food poisoning, I keep denigrated figs on ham all the time, even if all you can get is Fig Newtons, stops food poisoning instantly.
That's so great your home remedey works so quickly, glad everyone is feeling better now. May God bless your family with good health, lots of love, and tons of joy and peace.
I'm actually curious to learn more about your high tunnel - what is the purpose of it, what kinds of plants you grow in it during which seasons, the reason for wanting to enclose the ends. I don't know much about gardening (that's more in my husband's wheelhouse) so I'd love to learn more about that.
Deep South Homestead has some pepper plants in the Vigo beds in their high tunnel They are about 12 feet tall and loaded with peppers, banana peppers and bell peppers they went out and were picking them because they’re expecting a frost. I could not believe how long those peppers have been living,a really long time.
Misty your lettuce is beautiful and I would definitely cover it, it would be a shame to lose it. I love the idea of setting up a tank with fish from your pond in the greenhouse to water/fertilize with it. The water in the tank will also help with the bad cold spells. Glad to hear everyone is getting better. You are a definitely a trooper and a gift from God for your family, you handle everything with such grace and calmness. Thank you for sharing with us. God bless you, Colby and the family.
Good morning, I just watched your video saying that you won’t be attending the Homesteading gig this year. That’s a shame as this is the first one I am going to be going to in Idaho! Darn! I understand but would still enjoy getting to meet The Mac’s Family in Idaho. It’s about 350 miles east for me to drive which is difficult to do being old, 64, and disabled. It’s hard to sit very long but since I don’t know if the show will ever be held in Washington State, this is probably the closest I can get. If you do get a chance to get into our neck of the woods, you won’t regret it. This is a beautiful area. Lots of water and mountains. The best of both worlds. Plus, we’ve only had one Tornado in 2018 that hit just a couple miles from my home. It caused a lot of damage to many homes and our old trees seeing them broken off was amazing! Obviously, it is very rare and I hope we don’t have to go through them again. I do hope that you will maybe have a change and be able to get to Idaho for the Homesteading event this June. I pray for your family regularly that God will continue to Bless You and to be safe and Healthy. All three of your channels are so wonderful to watch. I get excited when I see you put out a new video. Thank you for all your hard work, I wish I could have had the opportunity to do the same as you. Amen
MISTY congratulations on your beautiful garden for a cold season garden or Winter garden your garden look marvelous outstanding and fantastic I couldn't say anything wrong about your garden if I had to say something bad about it you're a one good Gardener again Misty, congratulations on your beautiful beautiful garden! MISTY. The person that put up the comment his name is MARK WILSON. ❗❗❗
Hi Misty. While I’m thinking of it, I know you told me before that you are not harvesting propolis from your bee hive. If you can, also bee pollen on a daily basis provides you with all B vitamins and more plus the propolis is a natural antibiotic. I used it with my kids and they would get well so fast I was always amazed. I know however you are busy with a list that you may not be able to add the hives to it just yet. But the pollen and propolis really is a power medicine for your family too. Although I am going to check out what you have been using also. I like your vision for the hydroponics. I guess you just need to get constructing it and you will know if it will work or not. The Lord is Good all the time and will guide your build. Thank you for showing us your gardens today. The lettuce is flourishing! I can see why you need to move it and protect it. Look forward to the next video. Blessings ❤
Sorry Colby got sick! Oh my , ice storms are the worst. But looking at your baby broccoli, it is so cute. I don't know if that will make it through a freeze. I know it is a cool weather crop. Misty you have the energy of a half dozen people! It is fun to hear you ramble on, as you call it. Love it!
I'm so sorry Colby got sick but I'm glad it was not for very long and he doing better now. Your plans sound wonderful with the greenhouse. I hope it is very successful! This year is full of plans and new beginnings for a lot of us. I love the Macs!! ❤❤
Look forward to your new system - sounds like something that I'm wanting to do myself. Just a smaller scale being a semi-handicapped 62 year old mom/wife. Praying for a healthy New Year for all of us! Blessing to you all
I must have missed the remedies that you used under the tongue. What did you use? I tried to help my family but they look at me like I've lost my mind. They run to the doc for creams and other meds for dried flakey skin patches. The doctor knows best I was told. Mmmm. I use my remedies on my husband and myself. He hasn't gotten sick yet. If someone at his job gets sick we have fire cider, elderberry and a few other things. I'm so glad that your family is better. I've thought of the fish fertilizer pond too, but I don't have room for it. I can't wait to see yours. Take care your doing great!
I also was wondering if I missed the part about the remedies. That is one of the reasons I was reading the comments. Thank you for suggesting fire cider.
Catching up late and have really enjoyed this. Using the fish water sound like a great idea. I've seen elaborate systems for that on youtube videos. Sorry to hear about Colby getting sick. I found out I have cancer in my right lung again so will be going through radiation again. I hope they don't want me to do chemo as I will not do that. Awesome family photo that is on the wall. Not looking forward to the cold weather that is coming as well. Thank you and Love y'all.
You and your wonderful family are an inspiration for me. Your very busy but amazing life is what I'm hoping for my granddaughter and her family. She's already doing some homeschooling and gardening and she plans to do everything she can to be a homesteader. Love your videos.
God bless you and your family You are such a busy mom. I love watching your videos. I get a lot of ideas. Thank you for sharing. Praying everyone stays healthy and loving as usual.
I think your aquaponic system is a great! idea. It will fertilize a bit as you water. Fantastic idea. God bless Colby and the others that are having sickness. You do make me tired just listening to all the things you are up to. I wish I had your energy, but I AM 68 years old.😊
We get ice storms, too, in west central Ohio. They usually happen when the weather is starting to change from winter to spring. One year, we were without power for about 6 days. Our grandson was staying with us overnight. We were fine. We were prepared. We're even more prepared now!
What's the recipe for the natural remedy for the sickness Colby and Jennings had? I bought some Oscillococcinum after watching one of your videos. I'd rather use as much natural as possible. Enjoying your videos! Sharing your knowledge! @TheMacsLife0
I can't believe that some of y'all are going to be colder or as cold as we are up here! I hope it doesn't last long! Happy the family is feeling better! Blessings from Holly MI! 🙋♀️💯👍🙏❤️
My dad used to put a lamp in the rosebush section where we had a poinsettia we had a freeze. He would put a lamp in there and then he would cover up everything. Have you guys thought about using floodlights and let them just keep it warm try solar panels if you can to keep your power going
My broccoli and collards have not done well this year. I remember when these crops would grow pretty much without any assistance. Now, it seems that gardens need so much more attention.
Yes!!!! That’s exactly what I told Colby!!! I think our extremely warm fall and winter (thus far) has allowed over growth of fungus and bugs !! This the issues !
You have great plans for 2025. I pray that MOST of the projects get finished 🙏. I also have a lot of plans for my “farmette” that I will work on all year. Slow and steady we will get our dreams done!!! Take Care & God Bless❤️
Love the idea for your green house. So glad everyone is feeling better. I live in Wichita Kansas the weather is suppose to be trying bad starting Saturday. Stay safe through all these weather outbreaks.
ua-cam.com/video/MwoEQ9duBBs/v-deo.htmlsi=WrqSOuxiY8Zu_m0C That’s syrup - I don’t have a video dedicated to tincture but I just put the berries in a jar cover them with vodka and let sit for 6-8 weeks then strain off the berries and put the tincture into a dropper bottle - place a couple drops under the tongue
Thank you for sharing your ideas with us. We are just starting to grow a lot of our food. When I was a kid we mostly grew a lot of our food and we raised animals. My husband is new at it, we are really liking it so far.
Thank you for another great video of sharing your life with us. Big 2025 plans for your farm that you described from as you are standing in your new room that was created in 2024 that turned out beautiful. I'm sure all of your plans for this year will be successful because you, Colby & your children are so blessed, intelligent, hard working & winners! Take care, my friend & please keep warm ❤️
Try putting plastic on the inside of your windows. They sell kits that you heat with a hairdryer and it will shrink a little bit, but it helps a little with the cold air inside your house.
This is what we have been using for the flu: amzn.to/402z075
@TheMacsLife0 thank you for sharing! I just ordered some.
That's definitely the best natural remedy!
Glad to hear your house is rid of the stomach bug. Love the idea of natural remedies. Misty you do such a wonderful job of rolling with the punches as they come. What a great role model for your children❤
Thank you so much!
So thankful Colby wasn't real sick for too long. Good thing he has you ❤
You are mother, teacher, nurse, doctor, cook, maid, just everything. Unreal. Do you ever have time for yourself Mrs. Mac?

lol while this is mostly true - I wouldn’t trade it for anything else
@@TheMacsLife0 That's why she's so tiny. She works off what she eats.
Speaking of, Misty that's an angry looking cut/scratch on your arm. You take care of yourself and tend to that cut. It looks infected. Much love and prayers for the Mac's ♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻🌹
@@sglenn704 yes I accidentally touch my arm with a big cookie sheet - I jumped and it touched it again 😵💫
So I have two burn marks - but it’s ok :)

Absolutely

It’s simple but I (think) will be effective
Try putting plastic on the inside of your windows. They sell kits that you heat with a hairdryer and it will shrink a little bit, but it helps a little with the cold air inside your house.
