This was a great video to watch. Thank you for assembling this. I have been using a OS products for over 12 years. Here is my preferred strategy if I want to take the time and do the ultimate shave. Number one use a face wash product and clean your face. Number two apply preshave oil. Number three wet badger, bristle brush with hot water and applied just a small dab of a OS cream. Lather up number four use the Gillette fusion blade number five clean face with cold water dry and then apply whatever post shave balm or lotion that worked well for you.
After using AOS shaving cream on and off for several years, I’ve finally discovered my preferred method. I don’t bother with the bowl anymore. I just spread an almond size amount all over my face and face lather. I just get a better shave this way. Plus it’s quicker and cleaner. YMMV of course but give it a try. Oh and another note, some Giant Eagle and Market Square stores also carry a small section of AOS items.
I just used this specific cream with the matching aftershave. Amazing shaving experience! I shave with a straight razor and my razor glided on my face so smoothly.
Hi, Abdullah Al-Shimri. That's great to hear.:) I not only enjoy the lather, but really like the scent too.:) When I bowl lather, this is a good one to use for sure.:)
Very nice shave great will definitely check local sams. I'm glad you said it's slick for me I'll take slickness over thick lather the lather did look nice also 👍
The lather was definitely slick and had that nice thick Santa beard quality.:) I think the pre-shave oil helped a bit in the slickness department, though.:) I used it again this morning. Same tools...Vikings Blade Vulcan razor and the Vikings Blade razor blade. I did three passes just to see. Three passes were really unnecessary for me. After two passes, again, and I was good to go.:) But I wanted to see how three passes compared.:) Well, nice protection even on the third pass. Again, no stinging or zinging from the alum block. I followed up with after shave balm. A nice shave. I hope your local Sam's has these TAOS products.:) It's a nice deal.:) It was quite fortuitous for me.:)
@@maximusfreeman7140 I have one and paid the same price. Agree that there are other brushes out there that are of better quality at a more affordable price. Although, I'm not terribly disappointed in the brush. I use it and like it. But, yes, I think the price is a bit inflated. Mine didn't have a bad scent. Additionally, I find myself gravitating more towards better grade Boar brushes (75% and 90% tops boar hair) and top-shelf synthetics. :)
How do you get your shaving cream to whip up. I can not get my shaving cream wet on my face. Every time I apply my shaving cream to my face. It always gets very dry. Can you help me with this problem.
Chad, the key is to simply add water, a very small dab with the tips of your shaving brush, little by little, as you whip up the lather in your bowl. Try this: (I prefer a natural hair shaving brush like boar or badger when using shaving creams. But a good synthetic brush will work, as well). Place some hot/warm water in your shaving bowl (Always shave with WARM water. But you can use hot water to heat the bowl, if you prefer.) Soak your brush in the sink in warm water. Take a nice hot shower Now the bowl should be heated nicely and the brush absorbing water Dump the water out of the bowl. A drop of two will be left behind Remove the brush form the sink, give it a gentle squeeze and a mild shake or two. Take a dollop of cream and place it in the bowl. The remainder of cream on your finger can be wiped into the brush to sort of prime things.:) Now, start building your lather. the few drops of water left in the bowl helps to get things going. Depending on how much water is retained in the brush also gives a god start and a good indication of whether you'll need to add more water. Now, if the lather is too dry, dip the tips of the brush in the sink water and continue lathering. When you start getting nice peaks of lather on the brush, you'll know it's good to go.:) It's just a process of knowing how much cream and how much water to add. It does take a few attempts. But the more you do it, the better and easier it becomes. Also, you can also simply add water to the brush once the lather is on your face if you find it's too dry. Sometimes, you may have to do a bit of face lathering if the process of lathering in the bowl falls short. Again, add a LITTLE bit of water as you continue to build the lather. Hope this helps.:)
I just ordered mark AOS Lavender I don’t what to tell you but of all lavender soaps I tried I think Barriser and Mann and AOS gets Trophy for me 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Alan H
A Natural brush is made from animal hair. Hair from a badger, a boar, a horse. A synthetic brush is essentially plastic fibers formulated to feel as soft as a natural hair brush
I kinda wanna go some of this, cause with haven't shaved in a long time and I kinda want too but I need preshave oil cause I have sensitive skin on my neck
@@MarkSzoradyHow will you ever go forward in life knowing some random dude on the Internet didn't believe you shaved your beard? Good gracious I may need therapy just thinking about it.

What do you mean by natural shave brush. A synthetic brush.
TAOS pre-shave oil helps.:) It's abit thicker than others I've tried, but realy does lay down a good base and works well with their shaving cream.:)
How long does the sandalwood shave cream last
As in, how long will one tub last you? If that's the question, it's difficult for me to say because I rotate my creams a soaps a lot.
My wife just said this guy has to be the most adorable man God ever created. Nice shave by the way.
Wow! Flattered! Please tell your wife thanks!:)
lucky dog hope the mansfield sams have this stuff great shave ty
Thanks. Yes, I sure hope your local Sam's club carries it. It really is a good shaving cream!
That’s a great shaving cream Mark
I was very surprised. It really is a very good shaving cream! I agree.:)
What r u trying to shave 😂
No facial hair before the shave, no facial hair after. Wtf!
I'm fair-skinned.:) There's facial hair there. Turn your settings up to HD.:)
