Your kids are incredibly grateful and blessed totally behave like children should be when they surrounded by loving parents I was in laughter when I noticed their foot wear walking through the hotel and into the room that was so funny and hilarious 😂 I loved it
They are well brought up, and thankfully, free of trauma, and have a lifestyle that is mentally and physically healthy. To praise them is to praise their parents.
I was blessed by being able to do it all again with my grandchildren!! 💕

Happy Birthday Eli. What a beautiful family. Such a wonderful way to celebrate and make Eli's day so special. He'll always remember those moments. Reminds me of my own kids, now happy grown ups, oldest is 31 and both successful in their own right. I live by those days, as their daddy can no longer tell us about those memories. He was a medically retired USAF, now veteran who is now 100% disabled. We would also allow the kids do their own choice of place to go eat out. We normally never ate out, but those were specials, or go camping and amusement parks. Mind you, being military we were stationed at beautiful places around the world. So watching this vlog was so beautiful to watch for me. God Bless

There are some days I just wish I could go back in time to experience it al over again. I do love them the way they are now, but there is nothing like a hug from a small child to warm a mother's heart: but now that I think about it, a hug from my grown children/men and women does still warm my mother's heart! Dang it Melissa, you made me cry again. My youngest 9, and I were sitting together this morning enjoying your wonderful family adventure. My oldest is turning 11 on Friday and this episode hit my mommy emotional button. Yes indeed, these critters do amazing things to our hearts and souls. I went from shivering when you guys were walking back to your room to crying when you spoke about loving your children. Sometimes I still see my youngest as a 5 year old although he's 55 years old, he's such a sweetie and my best friend. You give your children the best thing on this planet, unconditional love and you can see it in their faces. Great job Jeremy & Melissa, you guys rock. 🤩

I can understand your reminiscing and the ambivalent feelings of great joy, sentimentality, with a tinge of sadness as you think of the time passed, the limited time left, the gaining of maturity and life lessons and the loss of innocence, childish wonder and amazement…all tied into one package.
My daughter is about to turn 15 years old and it seems like yesterday I was bringing her home for the first time. I could completely relate as you shared your memories and nostalgia as you look back at all that has passed and then have that bittersweet moment as you look forward to what is yet to come and realize just how numbered your days are with these beautiful gifts we have been endowed and entrusted with for a precious, short amount of time.

I absolutely love the relationships you guys have with your children. While I know the videos do not show the hard parts of parenting, you guys seem to have the skills needed to nurture, encourage and support your children. What a pleasure it is to have been able to watch your family, Melissa & Jeremy, as you celebrate Eli's 7th Birthday.
I'm at the other end of it, with my babies now presenting me with grand-babies - the littlest of which is just gone 8 months old. Your comment about every time you say goodnight to your beautiful child, the next day they will be one day older.. and one day more mature, and one day closer to being grown up really hit home, because every time I have been away from Grandbaby for 4 - 5 days, he has changed next time I see him, and while that's thrilling, god.. the realisation that he's inexorably getting closer and closer to one when he will be a little boy - not a baby - saddens me..
It was so easy to get swept up in our own kids growth back when they were tiny - years and years ago - and look forward to when they would be less dependent, but, I would move mountains to be able to go back and do mine all over again, and this time, not be so swept up in being the perfect wife, the perfect worker, managing the career, keeping a spotless house, and this time I would take every moment, to just hold them and love them, and share their lives as much as I could.
I remember back then we were always looking forward to the " next milestone - the next achievement " but.. at the other end of my lifetime, if prayers and wishes could come true, I would freeze those moments, those smiles, those hugs.. kisses.. those tender tender moments in time, and never ever let them go.
