- Is the TJ100 Snap on transmission jack worth it? In this video I do into detail on its features and things I like about the Jack. To me so far it stands out in the crowd for sure. But you tell me what your thoughts are?

I own that model & agree the versatility of adjustments make this a very quick tool..I am a small one man set up , so my needs are not as commanding of the price ..but once you use this you have no regret on the price..

We love ours. We’re the first to get one from our dealer when it came out. 4-5 years ago? Seals have not been a problem so far. Our is the air over version and my only complaint would be how when letting air out it is not very controlled for the first few inches. Otherwise amazing.

My snap on guy stopped by yesterday and mentioned they had one, nearly new repo. We negotiated the price and i bought it. The owner of the shop went on and on about how he could get one for half the price. I told him one for 2k that we have in The shop is better than one for 1k at the store." He had zero intentions of buying one since the one we have hadn't killed anyone yet and could still be used. The one we currently use is a dangerous pos. It's amazing that no one dropped a transmission yet.
Worked with several bosses and equipment like that. It’s stupid. Glad you were able to snag one for a good price
Do you need it? Can you afford it?
Do the less costly versions (ex: SUNEX) come short of your requirements?
If the answer to them is "yes", buy it.

Great review, always wondered about the price and why it was so high, in the last 2 places I've worked, they were no more than 1k!
Yea they definitely have some nice features. To be fair I didn’t pay close to $3200 I bought before all the price hikes
If they made the maneuvering handle longer and fold-down it'd be perfect.

We have 3 of the TJ jacks 2 TJ100’s and a TJ100A we are on our second set of seals on the air and the manuals have had 3 sets a peace (also can’t just buy the seal have to get the entire power assembly for 1100$) BUT by far hands down the best jack I have ever used.
I’ve seen guys buy the seals outside of snap on. They measure them up and replaced them. Unsure how good they are but I know it’s an option
@@Enrightauto we send the entire unit up to the mennonites up from us after we bought the entire cylinder twice and havnt had issues sense the messed with them. Absolutely love the jack tho. We do 3 or 4 transmissions a week at the shop so they help a ton
