William King II probably should have looked it up, oh well rookie mistake, I put a rag in it already, sounds better covered up. Though I did mention I didn't know what I was doing when making the box lol
You need a Line output converter that supports remote wire, that or you can tap into the parking sensor fuse in the cargobay/trunk fuse box ( this fuse is switched power on with ignition off without)
So my active subwoofer connection is a REM connection to a yellow cable with a red stripe. It works by turning on the woofer when the car is unlocked. And when the car is locked, the woofer turns off after a few seconds.
Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to remake it. I had to borrow the tools to do it the first time. I can tell ya it wasn't too hard to do but my design could definitely use improvements. I'm not audio technician when it comes to air flow and such so it's not the best. But some wood glue, screws, and mdf board you can make one yourself. I used the foam insert as a template for size just measured it up and cut the wood accordingly.
ssj3jarrod yes, this amp only accepts high level inputs, I did however get a different amp as the alpine really didn't have enough power. The new one accepts low and highs (still using high) while providing more power and in a smaller size.

FWIW a subwoofer port is a lot more than just a hole that lets air out. You should google it, port diameter and length are specific to the subwoofer.

good ideal on the sub box. with a little stronger amp it will sound good. You could raise the other side a little to even it out.
I done this today tapped in to the front speakers from behind the head unit and then got the 12v power from the fuse box in the boot.

What are the wires thats on the red connector?
Would it be possible to get the dimensions of the box? interested in doing a similar set up.
The dimensions are the same as the foam insert that is in the trunk, i modeled it to be an exact fit replacement.
