best interior design video ever!
I would love to see a ‘pet owners episode!’ So many pieces/furniture for pets like beds or cat trees are so ugly. I’d love to see McGees take on combining a stylish home and pets
I would love a q&a for people who are looking to be designers. How/how much do you charge? How much do the different levels of designers make? Do you prefer think getting a masters in interior design is necessary?

Wow, what an amazing amount of info in a short period of time! I feel like I just got the 'rent a designer for one hour' special! I worked with a designer for the jumping off points when I bought my current old house eg downstairs wallpaper and paint colors. I've been going it alone for the last couple of years, but am feeling stuck so will probably look for some assistance soon. It's just hard to find the right designer when you're not looking to do a $100,000 reno.

When building our home, I was stuck on mixing metals...so I decided to use two: oil rubbed bronze and polished nickel...used both in every room and it is fine...!
You are my favorite designer!!! Question what time of paint do you use to paint your kitchen cabinets do you use semi glass, Flat, or glossy?

what's your advice on a black metal bed frame? I want one, but I also want to avoid the hospital look...
Elie K. I’m not a designer but I have a black metal frame bed and my room does not look like a hospital. The thought never occurred to me.

Great tips! I do wonder how well Ikea or prefab cabinets hold up....will you regret having these cabinets falling apart on you much sooner than custom cabinetry?
Marie B. Tons of people use them & they last a loong time especially if you’re just using the box and then purchase custom doors/fronts which are available via companies on the internet & amazing.

My living room is weird. It’s rectangular with 2 doorways on either side. We have a fireplace with a y’all mantel. Unfortunately, we can’t remodel the fire place and it’s mantel so it’ll have to stay. But to put the tv on the side, it seems so far away. And it really hurts me because I love symmetry.
