@@LilithsCosmicLounge There is absolutely no comparison between Tatiana Ali and Meg- different class, different way of carrying themselves, different subcultures.
Let's face it. 1998 was a dominant year for R&B Music. At the time, Tatyana Ali's album was not bad, it was actually good. However, the release time is what made it go under the radar. At the time, you had a lot of female R&B artist out such as Brandy, Monica, Nicole Wray, Mya, Tamia, Xscape, Deborah Cox, Whitney Houston, Faith Evans, Kelly Price, Lauryn Hill, Monifah, Miss Jones and more all out in the same year with their albums. So with all of those releases, Tatyana's release was overshadowed. The competition was just to high at the time of the release. We hear this often in the music industry when an artist releases a good album and it falls short. We definitely can tell that it wasn't the promotion department. She was lucky to have gotten three single releases off the album. Most artist get one or two and then the label moves onto another artist on their roster to promote. We could ask the same question to Jasmine Guy, Tisha Campbell, Debbie Allen and other multi talented women who only released one album and then walked away from the music industry.
Soooo damn true!!! Especially the Brandy and Monica part. The main main focus of the summer was them and up and coming Mya who were all the same age as Tatiyana.

Tatyana Ali is special & gorgeous. She had awesome career both singing and of course her legendary role as Ashley Banks from the fresh prince of bel air TV show. I am very happy for her, because lots of child celebrities lives end up in tragedy. Tatyana made the right and best choices in her life, no drugs, no wreck less behavior, etc. Tatyana lived happily ever after
She is super gorgeous 🥰🥰🥰 Wow, she went to Harvard.. she has a good head on her shoulder. "Daydreaming" was a great song.. and it still sounds very fresh ❤
Daydreamin was a bop! I think it was bad timing for Tatyana. She came at the tail end of an already stacked roster of R&B singers and kind of the end of an era, cause the following year in 1999 incomes a young girl named Brittney Spears who changed the scope of mainstream music around that time to pop. Black female solo artists then started to be more crunk-pop, so then we had Ciara, Teirra Marie, Nivea, Brooke Valentine etc. So I think if Tatyana had dropped Daydreamin in 96/97, it may have been a #1 song versus just a top 10 even though having a top 10 hit is still a great accomplishment.
I remember watching FP as a kid and just thinking “ wow, she’s so beautiful.” Heartbreaking about her boyfriend’s Suicide. Great role model. Love you’re channel.
Very happy that she’s survived such a corrupt business seemingly, relatively unscathed. I’m glad she appears to be doing life on her terms. Caring for her family and taking the jobs she wants.

We almost at 100k!!!!
😝🎉💃🏽
Sounds like she's enjoying her life. 👍What winning for real for real looks like. 💯
I wish she should be a huge star singer 💫 of like Aaliyah, Brandy, Monica or even Mya on the bit closer of the 90’s.
She signed to MJJ, which was basically Michael Jackson’s vanity label. The only ones that really popped off the roster was Brownstone and his nephews 3T, for obvious reasons.
Tatyana Ali's debut album Kiss the Sky is still a banger!!
She has always been my Crush.
Tatyana lived happily ever after
My guess is she just didn't have it when it comes to music. Just because you successful in 1 lane don't mean you can be successful in another
I loved Tatyana
Beautiful Lady ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Aaaw, that was nice to hear about Tatyana and that she’s doing good. All the best to her 🙂.
Boy you knock me out Jams.
She is super gorgeous 🥰🥰🥰
Wow, she went to Harvard.. she has a good head on her shoulder. "Daydreaming" was a great song.. and it still sounds very fresh ❤
And she is still doing really good ♡♡♡
She is so blessed ❤️
I just watched her last night on a lifetime movie. If you have cable, the movie is on lifetime on demand
Kiss the sky is an underrated album
I'm so glad she is done a perfect role model thing! Well done gal!!
I loved her album!
I remember watching FP as a kid and just thinking “ wow, she’s so beautiful.” Heartbreaking about her boyfriend’s Suicide. Great role model. Love you’re channel.
Wow I love this! I love Tatyana Ali and I am so proud of her and I wish her the best in life.
Very happy that she’s survived such a corrupt business seemingly, relatively unscathed. I’m glad she appears to be doing life on her terms. Caring for her family and taking the jobs she wants.
Technology Mya's career really never took off.
With all due respect she could hold a note but I don’t feel her voice was strong enough
I remember listening to her cassette a lot as a kid
Fun fact: Tatyana briefly dated Justin Timberlake. They met when she toured with Nsync.
You can see him hugging her in her music video for 'Everytime'.
Sounds good to me. She’s happy!
