Onomatopoeia was my second favorite villain this season to Two-Face. I really hope they bring him back, he was so much fun this episode, especially when trailing the oil drops.
It's interesting that the show spent so much of season one building up "realistic" villains like Onomatopoeia and Penguin, with even the more fantastical villains like Clayface being reduced to just having a moldable face instead of the full clay body he's been known for in modern depictions, then proceeded to break that rule by having the Gentleman Ghost and Nocturna appear basically back to back in the end, suddenly bringing in the element of the supernatural and paranormal to an otherwise grounded universe.
0:08 you can tell right here that something may be up with the guy their protecting a fake home acting like no one's home and he truns on a light as he knows there's no food
Onomatopoeia was a great choice of villain, pretty niche but perfect for the time period and as a starter batman villain. However they really fucked over Deadshot in this episode. They made him a small-time wannabe trigger man that even when up close to someone MISSES!
In normal comics Jim Corrigan is a good guy detective cop who got killed and was revived by "The Voice" as an omnipotent The Spectre , he is co-created by Jerry Siegel who also created Superman. Also The Spectre is the major influence on Dr. Manhattan powers.
I am happy that Onomatopoeia gets the recognition he deserves. Some people believe that his "thing" of saying sounds wouldn't work outside of comics, but honestly, I like it.
They're getting hard up for villain gimmicks now. "We got a guy in a mask but we got no idea what to call him." "What's he doing?" "The usual bad guy fight scene with stock Foley noises" "What if you just have the guy say the name of those noises and that's his gimmick?" "Well, I don't have anything better"
given this is the Corrigan seen in gotham central (given the red hair and corruption), most likely not. Even discounting how they're probably avoiding havign any superheroes other than batman in this show, this take on Corrigan is typically more of a villain punished BY the spectre (as a man he murdered became the spectre and then killed him)
Exactly. if you have to put a sentence and censor it, don't put it first: you save money. furthermore, the censored words add nothing to the action sequence. it's useless money spent.
I think I like this version of Batman: he's not the apex being with all the gadgets and mixed martial arts that others have portrayed him. He's still a man who wants to do right for the city and even he has his limits.

More like throat punch.
"You got your .32?"
"Bleepin' right!"
3:08 Seriously, what happened to the guns knocked to the floor?
They went home
He hesitated. If he didn't get so attached to Barbera, he would've shot her right before Gordon could save her. =)
“We have Batman TAS at home.”
We have two good shows, stop complaining lol
Your Onomatopoeia has no click, no snap! 👿
“DOES ANYBODY WANT COFFEE, I GOT SOME COFFEE OVER HERE”
Reminds me of LA Confidential.Where Crowe and Pierce are surrounded by thugs in the house.
Doing it like a true Commissioner Gordon.
If this is early in Batman's career, he isn't Commissioner yet. Probably Captain.
@Bluesit32
Still, though, I'm glad they haven't screwed up the S*** out of good ol' Gordon.
Onomatopoeia was a great choice of villain, pretty niche but perfect for the time period and as a starter batman villain. However they really fucked over Deadshot in this episode. They made him a small-time wannabe trigger man that even when up close to someone MISSES!
He was the funniest villian and Jester the most twisted, can't wait for next season.
Jester…you mean Harley Quinn correct?
@@ajerqureshi6411 That was Harley Quinn? I thought sure I heard Jester somewhere 🤔
@@AnjanetteDukes Yeah, she meant a court jester. Because she had that guy dressed as a king.
And now Onomatopoeia has become my new favorite Batman villain
If you watch the captions, they just say Ah! like five times and it wasn't Onomatopoeia
Haven’t seen the show yet but that fight inside the house reminds me of the Rocketeer
In normal comics Jim Corrigan is a good guy detective cop who got killed and was revived by "The Voice" as an omnipotent The Spectre , he is co-created by Jerry Siegel who also created Superman. Also The Spectre is the major influence on Dr. Manhattan powers.
*Barbara: “Come on Corrigan, you wouldn’t shoot me would you?”*
*Corrigan: “Chance would be a fine thing”.*
I am happy that Onomatopoeia gets the recognition he deserves. Some people believe that his "thing" of saying sounds wouldn't work outside of comics, but honestly, I like it.
0:44 Nooo this fucking scene!! THE GUN! WHY!? WHYYY!!?? FUCKING WHYYY!!!!
They're getting hard up for villain gimmicks now.
"We got a guy in a mask but we got no idea what to call him."
"What's he doing?"
"The usual bad guy fight scene with stock Foley noises"
"What if you just have the guy say the name of those noises and that's his gimmick?"
"Well, I don't have anything better"
He's been around for a good second, but I get what your saying
It doesn't make it any less cool tho
3:39
Batman: POW.
Bleeping out the curse words really gave it the cool edge. LoL 🤣
0:04
How long does everyone think it'll be before the Spectre makes his first appearance?
Given how corrupt this version is, I hope he never does. The Spectre is God's vengeance. He's not going to bond with a crooked cop.
given this is the Corrigan seen in gotham central (given the red hair and corruption), most likely not. Even discounting how they're probably avoiding havign any superheroes other than batman in this show, this take on Corrigan is typically more of a villain punished BY the spectre (as a man he murdered became the spectre and then killed him)
Love this guy he makes his own sound effects.
1:42 Classic school of (Jackie) Chan: everything in your environment is a weapon if you're creative enough.
I feel like Onomatopoeia is a worthy Batman Villain.

so, from what I've seen of this show so far the only thing I really hate is how dirty they did Harvey Bullock
Batman really stole deathstroke from nightwing and now onomatopoeia for green arrow😂
The censored had me laughing 😅
Exactly. if you have to put a sentence and censor it, don't put it first: you save money. furthermore, the censored words add nothing to the action sequence. it's useless money spent.
Blame UA-cam for the Censored bits
I think I like this version of Batman: he's not the apex being with all the gadgets and mixed martial arts that others have portrayed him. He's still a man who wants to do right for the city and even he has his limits.
I love when Batman paid homage to the 60's show by saying and doing the action, "pow.' The knocks out Onomatopoeia.
Nice shootin’, Tex. 😎
I like that he can box with Batman.
1:16 Where's Ben 10 when you need him? As Batman and Gordon are at his house
Really? That’s his house?
@@captain_malaysia6855 yeah watch any episode of Ben 10 Alien force and you'll notice
Yeah this does look like Ben house 😂
I knew it looked familiar
Good thing she only counts the number of bad guys. But stops when it comes to counting the bullets in her gun.
Pow 3:28-3:43
I never noticed how much the characters swear until you censor it
Did I just hear a *bleeep* sound effect?! Aww hell no, come on DC what are we doing.
Its UA-cam censorship, the actual series don't have a bleep😊
@@astrociousgaming6232 oh ok, that’s still a bit weird but thanks for clarifying that.
@@ragercarnage8609 gotta protect the children you know
They was cursing wtf going on lol😂 she said you’re fucking right lord
I can't belive they animated Onomatopoeia. I was so sure his gimmik would only work in print.
Still does
@@shadowshots9393 Nah. It worked pretty well here.
@@joshuawilliams8252
Still, is not the same
2:34 Dale taught him well
Onomatopoeia the only human in the show to make batman sweat a little.
