Awesome Kristine! My kit will be here tomorrow & closing as well. The pool season is too short!! Hope you has a great season & with this kit opening will be so much easier :) #RCInsiders
Awesome Laura! I just followed the directions & it worked so great :) I am already looking forward to Spring 😁 Pool season is so short!! Thanks for dropping by & have a great day!! #RCInsiders
Wow, I can’t believe how clean your pool looks on opening! That is amazing!! We opened ours this year and the pool was green and disgusting looking. We had to to an algae treatment to make it nice. I will give this a try! It looks like a great product to use.
Hey Dinh! I hear you. It has been a disappointment over the last few years opening up the pool to see a big green mess. I was completely shocked to open the tarp & see clear water :) Using In The Swim products from now on 😀 Thanks for dropping by & happy swimming my friend!! @RCInsiders
Thanks buddy! Hopefully the pool will be warm soon :) Glad we got this closing kit so at least the water is already nice & clear 🌞😀 Thanks for dropping by & happy bashing my friend!! #RCInsiders
Awesome Rocky! This In The Swim pool winterizing kit works great 👍👍😎 Let me know how your pool goes :) Thanks for stopping by & happy swimming my friend!! @RCInsiders
Awesome! I can't believe pool season is over already. I am jumping in for a cold dip today & then breaking out the In the swim closing kit & saying bye till next season :( I was amazed at how well this actually worked. We usually struggle for a week or 2 in the spring trying to get the water right. Very impressed with this :) Thanks for dropping by & have a great day!! #RCInsiders
I clean, shock, and add phosphate remover/clarifier. I let the pumps run for a day. I lower the water, then ad In The Swim algaecide and metal treatment along with the sponge before covering. In the Spring, I open the pool in late April and find the water crystal clear! I then put on a solar cover and by the end of May the water is well over 80 degrees. It gets to 88-91,degrees in July and we live in NYC!
Awesome J D! I can't believe how well it works. We got used to fighting the water every spring. This saves so much time, money & effort :) We do the same & also built a solar heater. Our season is so short we do everything possible to get it warm quick 😀 Go Yankees 😁 I'll be rooting for ya' form Detroit! Thanks for dropping by & have a great day!! #RCInsiders
Thanks Adam! Looks pretty cool. Anything to help opening in the spring :) How big is the pool you cover with it? Thanks for dropping by & have a great day!! #RCInsiders
Hey thank you for the review! I am just about to use mine today. I am wondering if when adding the chemicals if I should use the pump on filter mode or circulating.. also did it freeze during winter months? I have the same pool and they say that they don’t recommend keeping it open year round but there is no way I’m disassembling It lol
Awesome Vanya! We ran it on filter & it worked great. This was the first time opening without fighting the water :) Yes, the water does freeze over winter. This pool has been up for 3 winters now & have had no issues so far. We drain it down below the holes for the water intake & that gives everything plenty of room to expand/retract. And I hear you my friend...There is no way I'm disassembling it 😜🤣 Thanks for dropping by & have a great winter & we'll see you in the Spring...We are counting down already :) #RCInsiders
Cool KP! We just grab a large tarp at harbor freight or home depot & a pack of bungee cords to tie it down. Been doing it for years and it works great. I was literally shocked when we opened this year at how clear the water was. We were swimming in a day :) How big is your pool? Thanks for dropping by & have a great day!! #RCInsiders
@@RCInsidersI have a 32x16 intex pool. What do you attach the other half of the bungee cord to? My legs are U-shaped so there isn't really a good spot to attach the cord to. Please advise. Is there anything else you used to close your pool? I live in Michigan so I want to do what you did. I was planning on getting a big tarp, a pool pillow, a cord and winch to go around the cover, and plastic wrap. But I'm not sure if that's not enough or is overkill. Thanks
@@brandonj.9638 Hi, My legs are u shaped as well so we hook to the tarp and wrap the cord tight around the bottom of a leg & hook it back into the same hole in the tarp. This pool has seen 4 winters in MI & we just get a large tarp at harbor freight that is big enough to nearly reach the ground on the sides & bungee it real good. We drain the pool to about 2" - 4" below the lowest hole to allow room for freeze/thaw. No pillow or cord for us. The tarp fills with snow/water & the bungees stretch. I will sometimes pump a little water of when the opportunity is there throughout winter. Is this your first pool? Thanks for dropping by & have a great day :)
@@RCInsiders ahhh. Good call about hooking the other end of the bungee cord thru the same hole. I'm definitely going to need to get a bigger tarp then so it'll be long enough. Do you think a 39x29ft tarp would be good for my 32x16ft pool? I think my long side will be good(39 to cover 32ft) but I think the tarp will be way too wide(29ft covering 16ft wide pool) overlapping quite a bit. Should I try to find a closer fitting tarp so I don't have extra length laying on the ground? All the heavy duty tarps at harbor freight are approx 29ft wide. Also, what pump do you use to skim the extra water off the tarp during the winter? Yes, this is my first pool. Second year with it, but first year that I'm planning on keeping it up during the winter. The prior year I drained it completely and put it away bc I was worried about damaging the pool. Now I'm just hoping for the best and taking proper precautions bc there isn't any way I'm taking that pool down again. 😅
@@brandonj.9638 Hi, Yes I think the 29' wide is too much. I would for sure try to find something closer to 20 or 25 even. I use the pump from the solar pool heater I built. It's basically a pond pump. You can check out these 3 videos to see that if you want - ua-cam.com/video/Vj4tYQ0bdCg/v-deo.html & ua-cam.com/users/shortsj835mjboHC8 & ua-cam.com/video/5LKIJ10oQUM/v-deo.html I have added the second heater to try to get a few extra weeks in the pool :) Our summers are too short!! A link to the pump I use is in the description of those videos. I did the same thing with taking it down & will definitely NEVER do that again 😂 It's supposed to be hot this weekend...Hope you enjoy your pool!! Have a great day 😀
Hey CJ Yes, you CAN use it. It is non chlorine based so that it does not bleach, stain or damage your pool surface, along with many other reasons. I miss the pool already!! Thanks for dropping by & have a great day :) #RCInsiders
