Hello , A few months ago, I applied for a PHD program at KFUPM and recently had the interview. Today, I received a response email from the professor saying that he recommended me to the faculty for admission. Could you please tell me what this means? Am I already selected, or do I have to wait for the faculty's confirmation? I have another offer, but KFUPM is my priority, so I need to make a decision soon.
How would they tale to reply to an application for spring intake 2025 I applied in June 2024 My application shows submitted still. I checked another students application who was selected and he was given the selection email exactly 2 months after his submission. What's your opinion on that

Secondly, how tough are the academics at KFUPM? I have heard it is extremely difficult to maintain a GPA over 3.00 in your MS.

Also like to know that whether I need to contact a professor from the university personally to know whether he is willing to be my guide ( acceptance from guide will do good for selection or not).
hi, it's probably because the program is not open in that term, and you may have a chance to apply in the next term. or you can email the department to ask for exact answer.

hi, for the first question, some of the students were not interviewed, and it depend on the department policy..
When we will get our shortlist results? For MS
hi, they usually takes time around 1 to 1,5 months after the interview to announce it
Did you take GAT and SAAT or sat exam and what are the subjects

As it is now, CPG considers PhD students more. There’s limited slot for MSc. So you should get in
