sir you taught very well but I have a doubt.... as edge is inclined to VP not the plane plane is perpendicular to VP so projection of all the vertexes of figure in front view should lie in the straight line how its making an pentagon or a 2d figure....???

hello sir I just want know that what would be the projection of pentagonal plane when its one of the side is lying both on hp and vp and surface incline at a particular angle to hp.

Manas Patnaik sir as u said that ab is in contact with xy, this means that ab should be drawn horigontally over xy line or the corner a should be in contact witj xy line??
Thanks a lot Sejal for appreciating the content... Do check out Engineering Mechanics also on my channel page... All the best...Have a great time and CHEERS...
sir..!plz solve the problem..a que. is- a regular pantagone 40mm side, has its corner A in HP and opposite side CD parallel to both the HP and VP.draw its projection when plan of AB and AE measure 35mm and the corner point A is 54mm infront of VP .
+Ichigo Kurosaki And when that is the case, you gotta begin by constructing the Top View first as the true shape of aurface can only be seen from the top......
I had a doubt, if the Line AB is tilted by 30 degrees to make 60 degrees with the reference line then it no longer remains parallel to HP (as mentioned in the question One side parallel to HP)
A regular pentagon of 25mm side has one side on the ground. Its plane is inclined at 45° to the H. P. and perpendicular to the V. P. Draw its projection and show its traces. Do u have any video related to this question if yes than plzzz share the link..
@Aayush Sharma…….Hi Aayush….Glad to see that you are interested in learning Engineering Drawing……. Well as far as your question is concerned, you have difficulty in choosing as to how a pentagon shall be drawn. The explanation is as follows: Whenever you come across a problem on projection of planes, always try to find the angle that the object’s plane is making either with HP or VP. In the problem discussed in the video, there is a pentagonal plane, whose surface is inclined to HP. Here is the trick: 1. If the surface is inclined to HP then slam it on HP. You will certainly realize that the true shape of the surface can only be seen from the top; hence you have to begin by drawing top view fist. 2. If the surface is inclined to VP then slam it on VP. You will certainly realize that the true shape of the surface can only be seen from the front; hence you have to begin by drawing front view fist. 3. Now coming to the all important point. If you have read the problem entirely, then you must remember that one edge is also inclined at a certain angle with VP. Guys remember, whichever edge is inclined either with HP/VP, make sure that you keep it perpendicular to reference line (xy line) in STEP I. Broadly there are three steps in Projection of Planes: STEP I - Assuming Initial Position (the three tricks above will help you). STEP II - Considering surface inclination STEP III - Considering edge inclination (The edge which was kept perpendicular in STEP I will be inclined in this step).

@vishak nair.....The basic difference between pentagon and hexagon is the interior angle. Its 108 degrees for a pentagon where as its 120 for a hexagon....

Thanks a lot Vasanth for appreciating the content... Do check out Engineering Mechanics also on my channel page... All the best...Have a great time and CHEERS...
Thank you so much sir, the concept of planes was explained so fantastically, I understood the concept by watching the video once. And also sir, I have also seen your videos on Ortho, Iso, lines, Engg curves your teaching style is very different from other lecturer.... and interesting. And sir, I want to remaind you that a couple of weeks ago, I had ask you to upload videos on Machine Drawing; so sir upload videos on this topic so my concepts and doubts would clear. No doubt my college's ED professors are too good and have a great experience in this field. But after studying any topic in college I always watch videos related to that topic on your channel; so sir it's a request that you upload videos on Machine Drawing...... And also sir I want you to upload some videos on Loci of point topic; I am very much clear in this topic and have no doubt but then also I want you to upload videos; so that our country's other future engg can understand this topic because it's very easy and scoring..... Thanks a lot once again......And KEEP GOING..... 😀😀😎😎👌👌👍👍✌✌🙏🙏
Meet....u gonna see a lot of videos on orthographic projections being posted from next week onward........ I cannot promise exactly whether i will be able to upload all the content on machine drawing or not........ Making these videos consume a lot of time and research........ I will do make your wish happen....but thats gonna take some time.. Have a good day.........
CAN YOU DRAW THE PROJECTION OF A RECTANGULAR PLANE OF 25 MM AND 20 MM , HAVING INCLINATON 60 DEGREE WITH HP AND 40 DEGREE WITH VP? BECAUSE THIS METHOD DOESNT ALWAYS WORK.
Sir can u please tell the important tricks that can be used in every question of projection of planes so that it becomes easy for us to solve questions? thanks!
+Arshad Ali .......Try to watch all the videos i have made on planes...........Thats sufficient...... You can then workout other problems easily.................
+sai srikar Look Sai.... 1. If the surface in inclined to HP then assume the surface resting on HP and then u can see the true shape of surface from the top and thats y u begin by drawing top view first thats below xy line. 2. If the surface in inclined to VP then assume the surface resting on VP and then u can see the true shape of surface from the front and thats y u begin by drawing front view first thats above xy line. Hope this will clear ur doubt... All the best bro....
+Arshad Ali ................Arshad the third step pentagon is an exact replica of the step 2 pentagon...........It has been re-created keeping one side inclined at 60 degrees to the VP. The "ab" edge (Top View) which is perpendicular to xy in step 2 is then inclined at an angle of 60 degrees and accordingly the remainning pentagon is recreated taking arcs from step2.

Sir I have one doubt ..sir in this video 60 degree angle k lie line niche kyo draw ki above xy line kyo Ni draw ki
sir i dont understand how to choose pentagon and hexagon positions that is pentagon can be drawn in many ways
Here is the trick:
Broadly there are three steps in Projection of Planes:
STEP I - Assuming Initial Position (the three tricks above will help you).
STEP II - Considering surface inclination
STEP III - Considering edge inclination (The edge which was kept perpendicular in STEP I will be inclined in this step).

Sir where are you using the parallel to hp condition
+sandeep krishna
One edge remains in contact with HP throughout.....that is a clear indication that one edge is parallel to HP....
Sir please explain what is front view and what is top view and where we have to draw
Revanth i believe you have directly jumped to the topic of plane projection....
Anyway....start with basics here is the playlist that u should watch from beginning.......
ua-cam.com/video/WG6H2pISUzQ/v-deo.html
thanku sir its easy to understand from u sir thank u so much
Hi Pranisha.......

All the best.....
Sir I'm studying at ksit college and your working in vet college
thank you for teaching
Thank You So Much Sir!! 😊 Pls Upload More Videos
Thanks a lot Vasanth for appreciating the content...
Do check out Engineering Mechanics also on my channel page...
All the best...Have a great time and CHEERS...
Sir can u plz explain the use of auxiliary planes
Atharv....I am infact work on a video on Auxillary planes...
So stay tuned......
Okay
No Problem
Sir aap na drafter use kiya karo
finally found something useful!
Ok sir ill try my best
thank you very much sir it is very help full to me
i m sure it will help me a lot....thnqew so m6 sir...
sir!!when to draw any figure like Pentagon or circle below xy line and abovee xy line? and by the way Ur videos are awesome...
+sai srikar
Look Sai....
Manas Patnaik sir !! that is..front view above xy and top view below xy.. am I right sir.?
sir aap itni badhiya line kaise khechte ho
sir i did not understand how to draw the third step pentagon....
+Arshad Ali ................Arshad the third step pentagon is an exact replica of the step 2 pentagon...........It has been re-created keeping one side inclined at 60 degrees to the VP.
The "ab" edge (Top View) which is perpendicular to xy in step 2 is then inclined at an angle of 60 degrees and accordingly the remainning pentagon is recreated taking arcs from step2.
superb bhai
sir some beta angle problems please
ya sure
Sir in this particular problem audio quality is very bad but lecture is awsm
