The James Chapeskie videos is maybe my favorite Kurtis video of all time. It was so refreshing to see a project full of so much palpable passion, and it was humanizing in a way we rarely see on the internet. With someone that Kurtis conner could easily make fun of, he saw something new and creative and chose to learn more about it, take us through that process, and raise up a small creator to his huge audience. That one really got to me.
"There is no ability anymore to practice in private when you become a creator at that scale whether it's comedy or your craft" Dang! Kurtis dropped some real wisdom there. The whole episode was awesome, guys! Super laid-back with a perfect mix of comedy and insights! 🔥
I’m new here (Broski Nation brought me here). These guys are so good at asking questions that are clearly planned in advance in such a way that they seamlessly blend into conversation. True professionals and experts at their craft. Much respect.
Yesss! I never call white men king, I don’t call many men king period, but if there ever was one it’s Kurtis Fr! If he was ever exposed for being racist or misogynistic I’d fs lose all hope in humanity
@@WhateverWhenever888 lol no. Your feelings hurt by what I said? How about you go delete your browsing history before somebody finds out you like black men just as much as I do..
as a girl who watches kurtis i can confirm that his channel has become sort of a safe space. whenever i need a pick me up i can just put on any video and have a good time without hearing weird jokes at the expense of women.
kurtis is genuinely one of the funniest but also the most respectful youtuber of this gen. he doesn’t poke fun at a community without putting in the effort to understand them and see their pov, and it’s so refreshing. i listen to his podcast vrg while i do hw or even while i’m driving solely bc he’s so comforting and hilarious at the same time :’)
I'm a Kurtis fan and only just recently realized he was also a stand up comedian. I went to a show he was advertising and it was just.. a standup set with other comedians. And I had a blast. I was like WHAT?! Lmao. I'm gonna get a ticket to his standup show digital thing this Friday.
my fave kurtis conner moment is when he had a psychic on his podcast, and went in being skeptical only to end up in tears during their conversation. usually i'm laughing my ass of listening to very really good podcast, but that was such a touching moment!
I feel like Colin has been a lot more comfortable in interviews recently and I LOVE to see it!! Another great video from you guys. Cool to see Kurtis on the show.
First thing I do whenever I see a UA-camr with millions of followers is go to their videos and sort by oldest. They always have a 8+ year timeline and hundreds of videos published. This is not even including videos they deleted. All UA-cam takes is time and consistency guys. There's no secret. I would HOPE after 8+ years you'd finally have 1mil subs holy cow that's a long time of trying.
Having someone else edit Kurtis's videos would be like him hiring someone else to write his jokes. I can understand why he wouldn't do it considering how much the editing is a part of the experience.
hey kurtis I was at your show in champaign IL and I think all the time about the speed at which you said "not a joke" after the crowd laughed when you talked about going to comedy school, you're great off the cuff and I am gonna really love buying your show even after I've seen it in person because that crowd was weird as hell and I love your comedy. keep it up man.
yet another amazing episode, you guys are killing it! I would be super interested to see potential interviews with big ASMR channels (gibi, gentle whispering, etc), I feel like that's a whole side of youtube where the business and strategy of developing content is really intriguing bc the market is so saturated
I’ve been watching Kurtis for a few years now and I’ve only really known him as a youtube persona. I knew he did stand-up but he doesn’t really delve into it as much in his videos until his comedy special and kinda when he mentions his tour, like i didn’t know he went to college for it and was pursuing it. It was really awesome to hear how passionate he is about it.
I have loved watching Kurtis Conner because I can watch it more passively without worrying that he's going to slip in some kind of bad faith judgment of people, or something hateful. I trust that he put the thought into it to be kind and I don't have to be hypervigilant, picking apart his intentions or something. I can just chill and laugh.
I’ve been watching Kurtis Conner for a few years now, but I’ve never seen him sit down and just talk like this. He’s absolutely hilarious! It made me like him so much more! He seems like a very genuine person ❤
I need to comment on your videos more... I just find that I listen to your episodes often when driving with my wife or doing things around the house. I learn something new to take and apply from every single video. Some videos I've even listened to 2-3 times (Mr. Beast Manager was fascinating, but also the Tim Ferris episode), and this was fantastic as well. It's so awesome to see a UA-camr turn into a comedian and do shows. Can totally relate with the grind of "just more content equals more money" and "let me just finish this quick edit and then I'll come to dinner" (sorry Andra...) Appreciate so much what you're all doing for the UA-cam community and haven't missed an episode. Don't worry, this won't be the last episode, every single one we'll continue to listen to haha
woooooo, loving this video as a current humber hawk who lives in Toronto and was at the later comedy special show. can't wait to see the special in full king
It’s bizarre that the Disney adult video was so long ago. I thought “wait wasn’t I just watching this during high school lunch?” Then I remembered that I’m twenty and a sophomore in college

Wow😊l know her and I have also been trading with her, she's such an amazing woman with good skills keeps me happy all week knowing I earn 15thousand extra income trading with her.
Actually thought I was the only one trading with Mrs pettersson!.she currently manages all my funds too and she also provides webinars on how to trade perfectly without losses, I haven't started on my own yet, still building up my portfolio with her help now.
It would be so cool if you guys had dan and ethan from the h3 podcast on one of these, they have the biggest live podcast/show on youtube and i feel like they really dont get the credit for it
I think people who can be successful constrained to 6 second clips of content will inherently have staying power because I feel like it requires a level of creativity to make 6 second content that actually has impact & can build an audience. It’s a testament to a creators abilities and translates well to other mediums
9:40 - I don't think new creators have the patience to find those places. There are MASSIVE stand-up comedians who test new material in front of small crowds. Creators who blow up quickly (like many did over the pandemic) feel this urgency to continue their momentum. It's quantity over quality.
I feel like Kurtis has Emma Chamberlain vibes: passionate about the edit of his videos, also a style icon/influencer when it comes to appearances, funny/chill person vibes. I feel like he could do work in the fashion industry and be successful, similar to how Emma has shifted
Is it weird that I watch loads of his videos but has no idea he was that famous or had that many subscribers 😂 I thought he was a relatively small UA-camr I never looked at how many subs he had 🤯
sorry for making u cry colin :(

I agree. It was so heartfelt and refreshing.
You know this guy is good when a casual interview basically becomes its own stand-up show 😂
