Truest words.
@@jackjohnson5083 that's some backwards logic right there. Knowledge and discovery being shared is what created the world in which you can watch this video.

Impose rules designed by a certain race onto another race and it's replacement, it's interrupting the natural course for those great societies.

Unless you’re majoring in the study Mesoamerican culture, you’re likely not going to learn anything other than a couple of tropes about the Aztecs; like how they were folk who grew corn and ate the hearts of their kin in sacrifice, and sometimes in habit (like when they’d dry-rub executed folks in chili).

Pity the princess, thinking she'd marry a King and getting her heart stolen.
King: How could i make her love me
King's Friend: Dude just need to steal his heart.
She was marrying a god.
This depends multiple reports share this videos version. Other sources report the Princess was sent by King to civilize what were considered the very backward and hideous people the Mexicas.
What stays the same in every historical account is the Princess was mutilated and the high priest went to the king wearing the Princesses skin and the King ordered all Mexicas to be wiped out. Mexicans still to this day celebrate wearing people’s bones and flesh. It’s called Day of the Dead.
Cortez when he took offense to Aztec religious ceremonies just like the King this is when Cortez has to flee what is today Mexico City but all the surrounding people and cities and nations before Cortez landed and after tried to warn him of the Mexicas. We are taught incorrectly in schools that a big bad Spanish army swarmed the poor Aztec people as propaganda.
Well Cortez was fighting an illegal war what they do not tell you is that Cortez had a very small force with advanced weaponry. It was the surrounding nations that made it so Cortez won the war.
Everyone wanted to get rid of the Mexicas, everyone. To this day the Mexican people are not much different and still celebrate backwards traditions like wearing people’s skulls and brag that LA RAZA (Which means, The Race) will control the world and recreate Azlan.

I really liked how in depth this went into Aztec society, especially for a nation that is talked little not just in school, but also Historians in general due to the heavy bias brought on by the few sources available to us.

Cannibalism is nasty. But its murder.... it was done on a larger scale before the Aztecs were even discovered. Your bias is hypocritical.
Sam Ortega atleast explain why
@@samo8565 aztecs are fucking awful dude
@@grimkaizer8417 Were. Just as Christians were awful. If left alone, Aztec society likely would have progressed beyond human sacrifices and constant war - just as Christianity has progressed beyond putting slave girls to death if they sleep with a man, while the man just has to bring a ram or whatever as tribute, not allowing tattoos or raw meat, planting two types of seeds in one field, and wearing clothing made of two different materials.
One of my favorites is Deuteronomy 25:11:
“When men fight with one another and the wife of the one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of him who is beating him and puts out her hand and seizes him by the private parts, then you shall cut off her hand. Your eye shall have no pity."
Damn, why isn’t there a game of thrones aztec edition?
Like a fictional thing loosely based on history?
I'd suspect that the lack of surviving Aztec history might have something to do with it.
Like not enough to base original stories on when most of what we know is covered here. I've heard most of this before actually in another video about the Aztec, so similarly original stories would also derive from the same thing and ultimately be very similar.
I mean I would also be a little bit concerned about people not having a good idea about what the Aztec were like including yourself. So it would almost definitely lead to claims that it's a misrepresentation of the Aztecs when there's not a shared idea that can be backed up like with versions of medieval European history where the roles of royalty, nobles, priests, knights, merchants, commoners and so on are all pretty well defined.
Your comment might not have been made with such a thorough investigation into the idea in mind but I'm pretty sure there actually are reasons for it because almost every other noteworthy civilization has a disproportionate number of stories about it compared to them. So I'm certain there would be more if people were inspired by information about the source, which is unfortunately lacking. I mean there's not much about other poorly documented civilizations either like the sumerians so I guess that supports my reasoning.
@@DajuOnUA-cam i totally see your point in that unfortunatelly there is not enough historical information about the Mexica for there to be a show of the type, but it doesn't have to be based on historical events but maybe in Aztec cosmology, the way how the aztecs viewed and believed the universe worked, to put it simple to be based on their mythology, to show us how they believed the gods had shaped the earth and life itself, their struggles and domains and power over everything and everyone, i believe the cosmology would be something very fresh and interesting to know about, and ther is definately enough material to work with in that department. thank you for the reply, i believe learning about ancient history is quite a journey, and even though is donde know much about it i'll be glad to take that journey, may you have a nice day 🙂😀

Do you mean "their server"?

It's like a game of Civilization
Of course they did: from 1492 when the Spaniards arrived for the first time to the continent, to 1519 when Cortés arrived to the shores of Veracruz, México, 27 years had passed. In that time a lot of contacts and indirect news about their prescence had spread. Caribes and taínos, the first indigenous people who saw the Spaniards, used to travel on canoes throughout all the Caribbean sea, spreading the news. There is some evidence that Maya merchants knew Cuba and had some commerce of goods with Taínos (Cuba was conquered by Spaniards in 1509). In 1511 a shipwreck by a storm during an exploration to Florida threw 11 spaniard survivors to the Yucatán shores. Almost all got killed by the Maya, but two of them survived to be assimilated into the Maya society and learn their language. One of them even would die years later fighting against the Spaniards on the side of the Mayas. In 1517 and 1518 the expeditions of Hernández de Córdova and Grijalva had made contact with mayas and totonacs in the shores of Yucatán peninsula and the Gulf of México. So, by the time of Cortés arrival, Motecuhzoma had plenty of news about the prescence of strangers since years before.

Loving it! Did a paper in school about the Aztecs and was always fascinated by the mesoamerican civilizations. Great, neutral and complete work. Thank you!
i cant help but relate the scenes in Apocalypto while watching this. thanks for this! GREAT CONTENT!
I just found you! Wow your pronunciations are Fantastic sir! Bravo 👏 Also I’m a history nut and I learned a few new things today. That’s pretty amazing as I’m a huge nerd. I found you through your history of Korea. I’ve been looking for one that wasn’t about the Korean conflict. Thank you so much for making it fun and informative. Again kudos to you sir! I now before your superior mastery of historical subjects.
Finally found the channel I was looking for, long history videos, time to binge watch
It's 5:52 AM and i just finished watching.
It was very interesting and i genuinely didn't know how much different was the reality between what my book said and the actual historical events.

Saudi Arabia: Ha, ha. I'm in danger.
@@TheTheThe_ America's not really a rule by fear type of place and I doubt Russians have any more revolutionary fervor in them at the moment
@thanks no Rome was too big to manage plus it was surrounded by two enemies. the Persians to the east and the Germanic tribes to the north.
We literally threaten to stop funding any country that doesn't agree to our goals. Financial scare is a thing,.bud. we also police the entire world, just in case you haven't kept up with history for the past 60 years.
@@yeshuadot630 that's how i feel about UA-cam in 2020, they threaten demonetization unless we censor ourselves for "family friendly platform" which is a load of shit. and police our content upload. if they had their way, the site could be made a living nightmare where we never get paid and are forced to upload propaganda on our channels. it's not right, we have as much rights but the bigots and Susan the bitch CEO don't care and they treat us like fucking slaves!
I love history and storytelling, i found the perfect channel for that. Thank you
Excellent work! I really love your style.
I’m up at 3am listening to a video about the mad lad Aztec

This video taught me more than my 8th grade history teacher
Bro deserves more , this is actually insane , keep up the good work
This was fantastic! One of the best Aztec documentaries I've seen.
That war economy cycle stuff made so much sense. Thank you!
This is just a phenomenal video, I’ve watched it more than a few times. I love your content, and how you speak slowly and clearly, and not just rush through the video, speaking too fast, like other UA-camrs. Keep up the great work my man.
This is a wonderful piece of work. Good shot
"Who which still approached lee, the Sun God"
Gotta love those auto-gen captions....
My favorite was “Al weed solo.” 😂
Occasionally UA-cam recommends something new that's totally worth actually watching. 100% subbed, good work dude.
Love how passionate you were about animating the scenes!
More on this topic please. Great video. Keep them coming.
