Maybe I was just raised differently but when we bought our house we had a giant orange tree in the backyard. After 8 years or so, it was thriving and growing over into my neighbors yard. I went over to him and said that if he was getting any debris from our tree in his yard to let me know and we would pay to get it cut back. He said he's happy to have the tree in his yard if he could have any oranges that end up grown on his side. I told him he had a deal and he could help himself to any oranges he wants, we even bought him an orange picker so he could reach the ones higher up. I told him the deal still stood that if the debris got bad to let us know.
It's in my opinion we should treat people how we want to be treated. It feels better, and takes less energy to just be a nicer human.
I agree with you. Sounds like you are a very good neighbor, indeed. You not only allowed your neighbor to share your orange tree, you gave him an orange picker so that he could get fresh oranges right off the tree and not just the ones that fall into his yard. That was a very sweet and generous thing to do. I'm sure he appreciated your kindness. You also told him that should debris fall into his yard, to let you know and you would take care of it for him. That was not only kind, but it showed him respect, as a neighbor.

Poor kid having a druggie for a mom. If it is harmless to have and for people to take why did they have to pump his stomach? CAUSE they are not safe! It is a drug!
First case. She should be thanking God her son is ok. Instead of being in court. Why would you have DRUGS in your fridge in first place?????? Things could have been so different. Definitely not Mother of the Year.
It is true: the younger generation is being dumbed down. The horrible thing about it is that the 21 year old saw nothing remiss in her behavior. By the way, love the mother's hair.
Wigs…both of them..
My nephews are 7, 5 and 2...right around the age of this child....and ALL of them are known for rummaging in the refrigerator to see what they can munch on. And I have personally witnessed them dragging a chair to the refrigerator to reach a higher shelf. I guarantee this little boy does the same thing...ESPECIALLY since his Mom doesn't indulge him with sweets. The mother acknowledges that she, herself, indulges in cannabis in a variety of ways, and one of those ways just happens to be in cookies an. The Nanny was rummaging in the refrigerator and moved the cookies to a lower shelf. She admits that. Mom SPECIFICALLY forbade her son to have sweets. But it COULD be postulated that her son went by himself to the refrigerator (whether he was in the care of his nanny or his mother) and he saw cookies, and as a child, they are ALWAYS going to go for the sweets, and he didn't know they were laced with expired "happy juice"....he couldn't read the sticky note. He is a little boy, he saw the cookies, he ate the cookies (probably more than one before he got caught)....and he would probably do so again, given the opportunity. How does Mom know that this didn't happen on HER watch, since she has this product in her home, where the child is living and to her knowledge, the cookies were on the top shelf, out of reach?

She lied about how it happened. She must have been in the bathroom a long time for him to have gotten to the fridge and ate the cookie. I believe that she gave it to him and later discovered that it had thc and then panicked. JM should have made them split the cost of the medical bill. She has no remorse.
I'm disgusted by the first case. So would Jo Frost.

Mablean, Mablean, Mablean - You need a cookie! You are wrong as all get out! The Defendant is TOTALLY and fully responsible. perioD !!! Plaintiff said the cookies had been there for a couple of weeks with no incident. But under the defendants care --- so!

Zero accountability on both sides in the first case. IMO the mother in the first case should NEVER hire her again. She is irresponsible and lazy! I don't think she should be watching a child, pet, sentient being or a rock.
That was a negligent mother. In a rush to go tell jokes but don’t wanna make sure the sitter knows about the edibles in the fridge. Who puts edibles in a fridge when you have kids??
