Sorry, the Amanita Muscaria shown at 2:12 is not "super deadly." If prepared properly they are edible and have been eaten by many cultures around the world for thousands for years. I ate them earlier this year and they were delicious (tasted kinda like calamari!). But it's true it contains dangerous chemical compounds and is not a novice foraging mushroom. Happy and safe hunting! 🍄🍄🍄
Some of my most relaxing time is spent mushroom hunting. I haven't been lately because of health issues, but that's getting better now, so I'll be back out soon. My only observation is you guys need to take a sharp knife with you to cut the mushrooms at the ground level. That way, you don't damage the underground mycelium from which the mushrooms grow.
This is awesome! We recently went foraging with a chef friend of ours (and posted a video about it on our channel called Wild Roots) and now we are hooked!
Yay! It's likely too cold for the fall foraging but there are also a few winter and spring and...lots of summer mushrooms (I didn't know!). Happy to have inspired someone else to do this!!! ☺️
Ah, very cool! We were a little late in the season for Porcini but hopefully there will be another course I can take to look for those next autumn! Mushrooms are so magical!
The music choice under the video is a nice pick. I myself not trying to forage mushrooms but any survival skill is useful to know and at least there is one more mushroom what safely could grab from the bottom. The ideal if you forage with other plants and make a wild vegetable-mushroom-meat food.
Exactly! I'm so interested to learn more about foraging! The best thing is to learn from people with lots of experience which has been hard during this times but I will not give up. 😊
@@Sopranoknits That's a real strong positivity out there. Yeah if someone is experienced in some matter it helps a lot but if you have good memory, curiosity and ability to compare things then you are half way done. Also no one knows if we all will die in an infection or perished from the planet by some catastrophe and if something edible survives with a couple of or few millions of people then the ability to find food is a must have. Good luck to you for this and do experiment a lot!
Wow, we just came to your channel from Lana Blakely’s comment section (we also recently started a UA-cam channel) and this experience looks like so much fun!! We definitely need to try it! Also the sauce you made for the gnocchi looks INCREDIBLE!! Keep up the great work ☺️💛
Glad your enjoyed it! I got the basket second hand so...can't be much help but if you search for foraging baskets, mushroom baskets, or even fishing baskets you might be able to find something similar!
I used a Canon 650d which isn't my usual camera but I had to send my Fuji in for a repair! Therefore the focus isn't the best but I just took what I had to document these days. 😊
I'm kind of weird, since... I like to collect mushrooms I love watching videos I love the forest, and all that type of nature I even like the 'aesthetic' And also I would love to learn about that stuff! The only problem is that...I DON'T LIKE TO EAT MUSHROOMS.😭

What a lot of fun that must have been! I loved seeing the slow worm too.
SO MUCH FUN! And yes, I was proud of myseld for not panicking because in so afraid of snakes that even things that aren't snakes really scare me. 😅
Miss Becky, your vlogs are so magical!!!

Beautiful and interesting; here in WV we have" Hey stacks" or morrel's in the spring rains we find them under apple trees!
I have done a local course like this. It’s a very fun day. We came across some porcini 😁🍄 this place looks magical ❤️

Isn't it great to be lost in the woods... Syd Barrett - Octopus 🐙 🤣👍
omggg, i love this video it's like so amazing and so relaxing really
Mushroom hunting is great😇
Also I've heard from well informed foraging instructors that it's completely fine to inhale spores from mushrooms like at 12:15.
Greetings from turkey
That was incredibly satisfying, thanks!
It’s an exciting journey to begin
This is such a relaxing and amazing video to watch!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you! The gnocchi were soooo good! Hmm...now I'm getting hungry again 😅
I've heard so many wonderful things about magic mushrooms but I can't easily get some, Is there any realiable source I can purchase from??
I'm so interested in the experience but am terrified of having a bad trip
I did two grams last time, it was a thrilling experience and I enjoyed it
This whole thing is pretty new to me, can I try 3grams?

where’d you buy your cute foraging basket in the thumbnail?
I bought it secondhand from an online market place! You might be able to find something similar if you search for fishing or foraging baskets. ☺️
Can I have your recipe, for your delicious sauce?
Magic mushrooms?
I wish in the island that i live was too many mushrooms, like there... in the island that i live, there aren't forests ;(
In welchem Wald wart ihr?:)
What camera did u use??

The guy not wearing the mask was the best
cute girl that enjoys mushrooms? ok im in love lmao
careful mixing unknown species in the same basket because the most deadly mushrooms only take a small piece !
Grrr! Nicht einfach so ausrupften bitte!!! So zerstörst du das Mycelium!
Liked the video. Can't stand the music
"we were all wearing masks...accept for him" so you're saying he was the only smart one there?
