  • For years I thought this species was Privet. Any way here are few of my honeysuckle bonsai. I have a few others that need quite a lot of work over the next few years. Good trees for beginners though Branches get very brittle and don't bend easily.
    Earlier video of these trees at • Lonicera as Bonsai (Sh...

    Don't apologise too much for long videos. There are many of us who enjoy the details a long video affords us.🧐

    I like the transformation of the last honey suckle you worked on.

      Thanks Kennet. They are slow growing though so progress is slow. Cheers. Sid

    I'm used to watching longer videos anyway, no problem for me.

    Oh man, they are so brittle! That second one caught my eye in the large Beech forest video. Its a very nice tree with all that deadwood.

      Thank you. The branches didn't snap off altogether and the leaves are still green and healthy so I think they will survive and eventually repair the break. Touch wood so to speak. Cheers .Sid.

    Really nice work! The trees look fabulous. Your garden looks really nice and like the pond. I'm doing some reading on small ponds as I'm thinking of putting a small one in myself.

    I just found your channel yesterday, and I found a great way to kill some down time at work! I enjoy your content, and the way you approach bonsai. I watched a few videos on your fusion tree projects, and now I will probably be trying that soon! Do you know if you can fuse different types of trees together? For example a Japanese Maple and a Southern Red Maple; or does that process work best all being the same type tree?

      @SidsTrees  5 років тому

      Honestly I don't know. I know people graft several types of Apple onto one tree and it can be done with other types of fruit so maple to maple could possibly work. Worth a try if that's what you want. Don't try it with your best trees though. Only stuff you can face losing if it goes bad. Cheers. Sid.
