This is a brilliantly designed machine. The only thing I would change (but is still manageable) is I would put the aerator ahead of the compost (redesign) so it fills the holes after it has been plugged. You can still do this by aerating first and then spreading the compost. But how this thing fires it down evenly straight down into the lawn is awesome!!!

I just had soil delivered to top dress and level and of course it rained. I was out shoveling wet sandy soil and trying lawn level rake it into my wet lawn. I overseeded too. Think it will hurt to rake it a bit more once it dries out in a few days? Try to get the soil to settle more into the turf. 🤷♂️

Just curious don't know anything about tractors. How come the forks slowly lower as you get out of the tractor instead of just holding the position you set above the topdresser?
Pete, I have two questions. Is it good to top dress your overseeing and new seeded yards with Starter Fertilizers and top dressing combined? Also, can you use pre-emergent Sheb over second or can you apply pre- emergent at same time of over seeding? I overseeded this spring and applied pre- emergent and think that it may have hurt my grass seeds.

We aerate and topdress within a few days but there’s many times I’d love to fracture thick areas of loam with this built-in aerator.

Need to find high quality compost like that. Hard to find in Utah. We mostly have biosolids mixed with chopped up trees...
Mulch mate we use on the golf course. That topdresser isgreat for any application. Glad your having fun and getting work done as usual. Keep hammering

you should contact your JD dealer. that front end loader needs to hold its position with that bag of compost.

Do you have to cut the lawn short before aerating and top dressing and would you use it on your cool season grass ?
Kentucky Bluegrass is a cool season grass. Yes I take it down a little shorter for this

Fine texture make them give you a testing sheet that shows the nutrient value
