I really did not think ANYONE could make Jon Gruden look good again, but HERE COMES JERRY. This is awful. Even if he returns to 2016 form he isn't worth the pick. Talked about this disgrace on my channel today.
Long time Raider fan, been watching Coop his pro career and he's got great pros and a few bad cons. Coops route tree is spectacular, he can run any route from any receiver spot. Outside, or in the slot, Coop is great. Cooper will win a majority of jump balls, and he is DEADLY with the ball in his hands. He's also young, so he's not done. Now, his down sides. He makes sooo many mental errors, lead the league in drops last year. He will quit on a game once he gets out played physically by a corner. A press corner, or a corner who can talk trash can take him out of a game pretty easily. He also can't play hurt, and he gets hurt a lot. I think he CAN be great. But, he needs to get his head right, and he needs to get tougher mentally. I wish him the best, and I hope he does great!
I agree with your statement about his mental toughness but I think some of his drops have to also do with Derrick Carr’s inconsistency with throwing the ball. When you are open every other play and don’t get thrown to, you aren’t very happy. Then you get thrown to on the plays where you are getting pressed on a slant, that kind of stuff is frustrating. Some of the drops should have been had by cooper but when you miss him wide open and you complain about him dropping passes when he isn’t wide open is just frustrating.
Nick Jones when I talk about drops, I’m talking about wide open in the end zone against the Chiefs to win the game drops. I’m talking about going over the middle in space and turning away from the ball kind of drops. Not bad passes or contested passes. I’m talking about wide open, Cooper not catching the ball drops.

Coop runs three routes well. The slant/drag, bubble/screen and deep post. Let's stop telling this lie about him being a great route runner. He is like most receivers from Bama that make it to the league. Physically great but limited route runners. As great as Julio is he also only runs the same 3 routes. Like Matt Ryan, Dak is great at throwing those 3 routes so Coop should work well in Dallas.

But that’s not only scheming, his only good year he was being mentored on a game to game basis by veteran tony romo, since then what development has this YOUNG qb received - Garrett isn’t helping him improve as a player- I’m not making excuses as I believe he is performing very poorly right now, but it’s an underestimated factor.
No as a Cowboys fan I watched every game when he took over for Romo. He never threw the deep ball like Romo. It was Beasley and Witten most of the time and Zeke and Dez was more of a decoy since Dak doesn’t have the arm to go deep aggressively. It’s not coaching it’s Dak. He can win but you can’t give him the same down the field playbook as Romo. So that’s where you can blame coaching.

Dez missed most of the 2015 season due to injuries. 2016 he Accumulated more injuries and was in and out of games with a rookie 4th round 7th tier QB. 2017 Dak went through a major slump without Zeke mind u Dez never healed. Dez still put up like 800yds at his worst even when he was missing games. Coop he’s good but he did 680 last year at his worst. At his best he most likely want see 1000yds on this team. How is Dez worst than him? They’re both injured prone wrs that drop a lot of passes

I think it's a fair trade. The Cowboys get a receiver that they truly need and to alleviate the pressure on Zeke. The Redskins put basically most of the defense on the line to defend against Zeke and dared Dak to beat them. So they got what they needed. Yea but Cooper will cost 14 million next year and will want a good sized contract when DLaw, Byron Jones, and Cole Beasley contracts are also up after this year with Dak and Zeke the year after. But that’s not only scheming, his only good year he was being mentored on a game to game basis by veteran tony romo, since then what development has this YOUNG qb received - Garrett isn’t helping him improve as a player- I’m not making excuses as I believe he is performing very poorly right now, but it’s an underestimated factor.
No as a Cowboys fan I watched every game when he took over for Romo. He never threw the deep ball like Romo. It was Beasley and Witten most of the time and Zeke and Dez was more of a decoy since Dak doesn’t have the arm to go deep aggressively. It’s not coaching it’s Dak. He can win but you can’t give him the same down the field playbook as Romo. So that’s where you can blame coaching.

I think it's a fair trade. The Cowboys get a receiver that they truly need and to alleviate the pressure on Zeke. With a draft pick you get a team friendly deal with a person that could have much more potential. Cooper is just another quick receiver with bad hands and Dak is a inaccurate Qb who has problems seeing open players. It's a terrible combination, that's why a first round pick is a huge over reach
