This is because their Off-Vision continuity is recorded live, unlike most nations. Continuity announcers are the voices you hear in between shows and advertisements and come in two forms: In-Vision, where you can see the presenters on camera, and Off-Vision, where you can only hear the presenters' voices. It also helped that Disney XD was actually quite successful in Japan.

Hello! About the Disney Channel/Junior (Southeast) Asia shutdowns in your video: The Malaysia (and Singapore if you consider counting it) feed had been shutdown early before the rest of SE Asia will be come midnight October 1st in my area. And since Disney also owns the Fox network of channels in that area since the mid-2010s (Fox Movies/Life/Sports/Crime/FX), they will all be closed down as well along with the Disney channels. All of this in preparation for a full roll-out of Disney+ (Disney+ Hotstar in select territories) for the rest of the Asia region. It really sucks seeing most of these channels I practically grew up with leave the airwaves permanently. But at least they all posted their final goodbye spots this month, knowing how much the viewers mean to them :')
As someone who is afraid of sign off screens since childhood, if every sign off screen was as cool as japanese disney XD, i think i wouldnt fear them at all. In fact, i think id love them.

15:06 This is already happened. Only Disney XD will be closed in Southeast Asia on New Year's day 2021 by following the review of Disney's business in this region. And also, Disney Channel and Disney Junior also shutting down in Malaysia (my hometown) on the same date due to the massive impact of Disney XD Asia's discontinuation. Note that the Walt Disney Company didn't closing two Disney Channels although only Astro can.
Thank you to Disney XD Asia for more than 8 years of broadcasting. Such a nostalgic moment. I love you!!! Disney XD Asia (September 15, 2012 - December 31, 2020)
I haven’t had cable since my dad cut it off when I was eight but I still remember the fond memories of going to my grandparents house to watch Disney XD as a Malaysian as it was the few ways I could watch decent English shows. It’s sad to find out the channels shut down and now I know why my uncle didn’t bother to renew the subscription
What makes me kind of laugh but also sad is that there was still shows on the channel guide for up next on one of them indicating that it was shut down relatively quickly so probably by a higher up that just came in one day and was like “ok were shutting down this channel in 1 week, you’ll either be moved to another department of get a notice of termination by the end of the day”. Cause they usually make the TV guides 2 weeks in advance sometimes longer depending on the company policy so the shut down had to be done real quick, especially considering bumpers were made for many of the countries meaning they brought someone in to voice over so the staff likely didn’t get much of a heads up.
I'm an American, I find it so damn sad that disney and streaming platforms are killing Television as we know it. I admire what DisneyXD Japan did, i loved that. If the us versions of those channels ever die, I think tv will die IN GENERAL. (Also love your vids, Very informative!)
its like nintendo, they shutdown wii eshop because they wanted more people to buy the switch and wii u eshop will shut down in a couple months too just because nintendo is greedy and wants people to instead play nintendo switch. also same thing with mario maker shutdown

36:55 wait, I didn't know that there were hardly any countries left that still had Disney XD. We have Disney xd untill 6 pm and then it becomes Veronica for the rest of the evening (yes I'm dutch) and I remember getting frustrated as a little kid when it was 6 pm because I didn't want to switch to another channel that didn't have adult shows😂
Doesnt that depend on your cable provider? When i was a kid that thing you said happened to nickelodeon, it became fox sports at about 8 pm or so. But when i switched cable providers it stayed as nick 24/7. So it was just the cable providers fault that it happened.
@@der_metzgermeister Veronica and Disney XD are both available on all cable providers in the Netherlands Same goes for nickelodeon btw (only thing that's different sometimes is the channel number)
@@yaralaterveer I was talking about the fact that Poland is the only country outside America where Disney XD is all day. Switching signal at 6 PM sucks, indeed. I wonder if the remaining Disney XD channels will say goodbye in a proper way just like Japan did.
I truly think my home countries Disney XD and Disney Junior (United States) are hanging on by a thread. I have a feeling Disney+ is going to kill these channels, which is sad.
I feel like Disney will probably save the US channel’s death until last or close to last, with maybe the exception of XD because since the change from Toon Disney to XD they didn’t know what to do with the channel. XD is basically a dumping ground channel similar to Nicktoons Network at this point.
I feel the same too, we might be the last to get a channel shutdown. I hope its a fun marathon or a proper goodbye like the Disney XD Japan one. I don't like streaming so its a shame cable is fading.
Hey! You did a mistake: You sayed that the 5 XD feeds remaining can shut down at anytime when the Dutch and Polish feeds have legal complications with other companies!
Now this explains ALOT. Was wondering why the US feed still seems to be holding out on a lifeline with Beyblade and Dalmatian Street (still think they’re on borrowed time, but I can’t imagine them pulling the plug before sorting out those legal issues) I’m guessing Dutch’s situation prob has complications involved with it’s shared timeslot (Veronica TV) as well.
@@roseymatilda745 I think Disney XD will be closed here in The Netherlands, Talpa Networks, the owner of Veronica TV, will merge with RTL Netherlands in 2022 and RTL is not interested in a children's channel, because they have Telekids which is a competitor of Disney XD and Videoland which is a Local streaming service and a competitior of Disney+. I think they will closedown Disney XD in the Summer of 2022, RTL and Talpa will not change things direct after they have been merged, which is expected to be in Spring 2022. It’s in the Netherlands tradition to begin the TV season at the end of August, when everybody is going to work or school agian, but when RTL and Talpa will merge, they have 9 TV channels, with some channels to have completely the same focus, as example, Disney XD shares their channel with Talpa's Veronica and every channel of theirs has a channel profile, with Veronica this is focused on content especially for men, but RTL also has such a channel, which is called RTL 7 at their site, so it can be that RTL and Talpa will stop broadcasting Veronica at the beginning of the 2022 TV season at the end of August and transfer it to RTL 7, which means Disney XD will stop broadcasting on that same day or mabye earlier if Disney is going to prefer Disney+ as their main activity overhere
@Billyboi Don’t know if your live in The Netherlands, but it’s what I thought, but why RTL is going shutdown Telekids, I think it will be the same answer as why Disney is closing Disney XD, to prefer their streamingservice. RTL is the owner of Videoland, which has a Kids section intergrated, Disney is the owner of Disney+ and has a similar section in their service. About the broadcastchannel of Disney XD, which is Veronica. I could be, but I don’t expect that Veronica will be on air after 2022, why I’m saying that is because of the channelprofiles, RTL and Talpa do have the same profiles for their channels: RTL 4 and SBS 6 are focussed on Family, RTL 5 their focus is on Youth and Crime, RTL 7 and Veronica are focussed on Male programs, RTL 8 and NET 5 are focussed on Female programs. Some of this will be closed down, because they will modernize their channelprofiles and their will be no room for two channels airing the same kind of things, what could be is that RTL 4 and 5 will be the Family channels, SBS 6 will become RTL 6, which their profile will be rebranded, what also the case will be for RTL 7 and 8, how they will do that, I have no idea, but that what I’m thinking

Portuguese Brazil audio is mono on some PnF episodes and I hope they fix it for Stereo.
It could happen eventually. I saw recently that the Disney owned channels in Latin America (starting with Star Channel network) will be shutting down next year by the end of January. No surprise that, with all-out promos to convince everyone to subscribe to Disney+/Star+, and the company even prioritizing their shift from cable TV to streaming for their future content, all on top of cable TV dying in some countries, I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of Europe and North America decide to follow suit in favor of streaming.
I hope that in Portugal it doesn't close either (as far as i know i've never heard of disney xd here) but i hope the two other channels don't close i still hope it will last a few years
although they started airing as independent channels, the Greek feed started to rebroadcast the Turkish feed months before the closedown, that's why they ended up with that show as last aires content

31:45 Dude... They played the channel’s first jingle...
Japan went out with honor, as always.
Let`s pretend that i said 50 likes, but no comments.
Ok, but that's an interesting timing 23:55

I'm an American, I find it so damn sad that disney and streaming platforms are killing Television as we know it. I admire what DisneyXD Japan did, i loved that. If the us versions of those channels ever die, I think tv will die IN GENERAL. (Also love your vids, Very informative!)

aww, why the japanese ending corner of disney XD made me feel sentimental about a channel i never watched? :'3
Japan really went all out! Respect.
imo cable just has so much more heart put into it even though streaming is objectively better from an accessibility stand point
theres so many little quirks to it (it might just be nostalgia but)
it would most likely be that the US will be the final nation to sign off its disney channels (D.C, DJ, XD, Etc..) However, this may be an odd prediction but I may belive that it could sign off for good from the years within 2025-2030
@Justin MiawKanyan+toons that could also be a possiblity for the future but eventually, the channels will close for good.

@@2038Ounnak i am 100% sure that was a coincidence.
Hell, the Japan sections are really cool
Of all the shutdowns that were not great, at least the Middle East and Turkey still had the decency to say that you could watch your shows on Disney Channel. The writing was on the wall since Disney Channel in EMEA started showing Disney XD shows before the latter shut down(Africa shut down on the same day as UK).
its curious because those regions received the exact same feed originating from London, it's just that the feed closed on different dates, that's why the different closedowns
Japan put a proper sendoff to this channel.
And now Poland remains the only country that has full-time airing of Disney XD outside NA. It's kinda sad that other markets were treated like trash.
@@Lambdambient disney XD never had a full day here. It's still until 6pm here (as of a few days ago at least)
@@der_metzgermeister Veronica and Disney XD are both available on all cable providers in the Netherlands

I didn't know that.
Now this explains ALOT. Was wondering why the US feed still seems to be holding out on a lifeline with Beyblade and Dalmatian Street (still think they’re on borrowed time, but I can’t imagine them pulling the plug before sorting out those legal issues)
I’m guessing Dutch’s situation prob has complications involved with it’s shared timeslot (Veronica TV) as well.
Some of this will be closed down, because they will modernize their channelprofiles and their will be no room for two channels airing the same kind of things, what could be is that RTL 4 and 5 will be the Family channels, SBS 6 will become RTL 6, which their profile will be rebranded, what also the case will be for RTL 7 and 8, how they will do that, I have no idea, but that what I’m thinking
i didn't know that...but regardless, those companies can pull out at any time too
Mine didn't even have these, the screens just turns blue and the next day it became cartoon network :(
I almost thought you forgot the Malaysia one of Asia feed, and you were not.

@@slavisamilicevic4735 There will be more channels that have closed transmissions in other countries for sure
I Hope It Doesn't Close In The USA.
Me either
I hope it doesn't close for Brazil (Disney XD) either. Even then, they would've closed it within 3 months already, but seems like Brazil is planning to keep broadcasting, because I go to the site, and I have a option to view Disney Channel and Disney XD schedule, plus Disney+.
