Fantastic bit of Australia's history! Climb up the hill, cut down a tree for the keel, then build your boat and go fishing - how tough were those pioneers and what fantastic "roll up your sleeves and get on with it" attitude. And the returned services personnel carving one of the world's most scenic roads out of the rock and bush by hand - gee they did it tough! The word cooperative really applies to the fishermen and townspeople in building and the development of the harbour for the fleet and providing for the future and longevity of the industry. Great video; thanks very much for the opportunity to learn a bit about the co-op and the some of the town's history. And I do quite enjoy a crayfish or fish and chips from the co-op, especially more so in recent times as it seems to be getting better all the time...
Thanks for this interesting bit of history. As a relative 'newby' immigrant I have visited and enjoyed Apollo Bay with its facilities but never knew the history. The history of the Great Ocean Road was a revelation. Fascinating and in true Aussie tradition. Get stuck in and made it work. My visits will now be more special because of this video. Again Many thanks.
Thank you Charles. Hopefully our refurbs will start after summer 24/25. It was important to capture this before any new works start. First we have to negotiate a new lease etc etc. All the best mate. Regards Alan (newby also)

Thank you for this story , Andy and El from Alice Springs
This is fantastic! We need more storytelling like this. A real sense of place. Thank you for doing this!
