My husband and I saw this group (Hypnotic Brass Ensemble) on the corner entrance of a train station in New York City. They said they were from Chicago. Amazing music!
Still come here after more 16yrs to watch HBC as this group are incredible...I was lucky I saw them at the BBC Studio on Jools Holland and the performed War...My god were they incredible!..even the production staff and camera operators were all in AWE at what they just witnessed same as audience.. ❤2ALL ✌👍
I saw these guys in Union Square and was blown away. I stood there in awe. These people walking by are tourists who don't appreciate real music. They came to NY to go shopping. Lol.
I saw these guys on the weekend in Galway for the Arts Festival. Absolutely phenomenal live. They're all brothers from the south side of Chicago. I'd highly recommend anybody who gets the chance to go see them. I'd go again in a flash if they came back here. Balicki Bone!
If I saw these guys in Times Square like you did, I'd drop anything I had to do, no matter how important. These guys are just amazing. One of the best brass ensembles I've heard.
People are always arguing about music... Who's more underground then who? What's real hiphop vs mainstream shit...blabla.. The fact is, real music is made with love and passion... Good music is made with love and passion.....and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble clearly have more love and passion for music then anybody out there! Big up you guys.... I've got so much respect for you... Stay real and true to yourself!
This song is called Ballicki Bone. I couldn't find their album in my town, so i've bought online with the iTunestore. Great band ! I gonna see them this saturday !
I’ve spent my fair share playing on the streets (tuba and sax, even played some of their covers with one of my old bands :) ) and my favorite thing is seeing people who obviously have somewhere to go just looking at the performers and getting their 10 seconds of bliss for the day, passing by with nodding heads. Everyone needs a sliver of positive infection in their day!
Met these guys when I went to see em one of them asked me where he could get some Green these guys are so humble! They love the fans as much as we love them... I bought the new EP to it's so good.
as for "not stopping", "mindless sheep", etc.. some folks have commitments they can't miss, depressed, stressed, and any number of things that drown out what we so passionately appreciate I'm not one to stop to watch someone paint, mime, rap. Just not my deal. Watching Tiger spend his talent smacking a little white ball around, bowling tournaments, tennis... It's ok for some, but just not interesting to me. We LOVE and have an appreciation for music and the incredible talent on display by those who create it. Some people would rather watch Nascar, news, go to a rally, or debate. To each his own. As for me (and many of you) music is my high, my passion.

I've seen them live on a trip to NY and our sightseeing bus stopped for about 20 mins just to see them playing. It's incredible if you see them live.
