I feel like there's a limit to cruelity, even towards your worst enemies and depending on the offense committed.
There are definitely punishments that go way out of line, no matter what. Like involving people close to the offender etc.
(also that people usually focus on punishment and not recompensating the victims but that's another topic)
I'm not saying he shouldn't have been exposed, but the meanspirited part (and with that I mostly mean petty, nothing serious lol) is when DH starts bringing up irl name, bank acc address etc. with the threatening undertone "yeah i can get you doxxed easily" and just going way into detail with some stuff, where one wonders if it's not going a bit overboard.
