My wife and I run a salon and have bought name brand scissors from china for pennies compared to the retail prices.
We even went to the factory in china.
Same metal, same everything, no brand stamped into it. You can get 100 brand new pairs for the price of 1.

The material of the metal isnt whats important. What is important is the ergonomics and the improved technology of the screw. Mizutani is expensive hands down but i would never use any other scissor at this point. I have used $50 scissors for 2 years earlier in my career and once i saved my wrists and hands from those terrible things i never looked back. Mizutani is king.
