1st Konkani songs audio album by Monica Fernandes.
Music has always been a part of my life, but this album holds a special place in my heart. "Jivit Devachem Dennem" is a heartfelt tribute to my late father, Louis Fernandes.
His love for music and his passion for Konkani culture inspired me to create this album.
During Covid times i.e.2020-2021, The process of creating this album was truly a collaborative effort.
I had the privilege of working with incredibly talented musicians Maestro Selvyn J C Braganca and Maestro Roque Lazarus (Goa), who brought their unique styles and expertise to the table.
With heartwarming ballads to foot-tapping beats, they pushed the boundaries of Konkani music, infusing it with fresh elements and contemporary sounds, while still staying true to the rich cultural heritage of Goa. Together, we aimed to create a musical experience that resonates with the listeners.
The seven songs in "Jivit Devachem Dennem" out of which two composed and sung by Golden voice of Goa- Mini Mario, Colva-Goa, are not just meant to be listened to; they are meant to be felt.
Each composition is a testament to the power of music to heal, uplift, and evoke emotions that words alone cannot express. It serves as a reminder that even in the face of loss, music has the power to connect us, heal us, and keep the memories of our loved ones alive.
