Listening to this is the first time I realised how similar Yorke and Bjork are as songwriters. Their lyrics and the way they use their voices - this could be on In Rainbows.
I think the reason for this is that björk is one of Thom's favourite artists and she had a great influence on his music. For example, the very first chords of All I need sound very similar to Unravel, at least to my ear. It's almost like Thom wrote that part with the intention of creating a song that sounds like Unravel
I think they did a study a while back about singers with the highest word density in their songs, and how many new/unique words they'd use for every 1000. I think Thom had 151 or something in the 150s and Bjork also had a large amount, higher than Thom, and amongst the most 'dense'
I come here almost every day. Such a poignant and sublime piece of art. What a genius Bjork is and what a cover by Thom. He is just as emotionally invested in the song as her to the point where it could have easily been written by him, truly fascinating.
Thom and Bjork work consistently with one another. They are two very influential artists that most likely find much creativity from one another. I hope one day I can see them both on stage...oh to dream.
There's a version where the lyrics don't overlap. See youtube video ?v=Kpz_CQZbSpk (if I actually link it, this comment will be deleted by the spam filter).
Really haunting with Thom’s voice, and the absence of the lines: “When you come back, We’ll have to make new love” Almost like Thom is replying to the original lyrics.
I had read somewhere that Unravel is Thom’s favorite björk song, and is also my favorite of hers. I haven’t visited this cover in years, but I’m so glad it exists. I’ve taken it for granted for sure.

Something strange, their studio from this point in time looks like the school I was at when I first really got into Radiohead, like obsessively into them, and they were in that studio at the same time I was at that school. There was just something strange in the air that made me gravitate to them. It all has that transitory, fresh-car, Y2K smell to it all. Or perhaps not. Still, OK computer and In Rainbows were the theme song to high school for me. So. Simply, thanks Radiohead.
I love this version!!! Thom said some time ago he wanted to make a cover of unravel. I glad you've made it!!! Beautiful! thanks radiohead for all and i hope we'll see you soon in Argentina
It’s January 2024 how on earth am I just seeing this just now for the first time after being a fan of Radiohead and this song for all these years?!! Oh well, what a lovely lil surprise to come across tonight as I was searching for a piano tutorial for Codex ha 🥰

to be honest, I think they should feature a completed studio version of this on their new album (with Ed singing the "so when you come back, we'll have to make new love" part and maybe more instruments).
