Why? I was a hairdresser for23 years. If you accidentally drop relaxer on the floor it will take discolor right out of the floor. Her eyebrows were fine. So I don’t understand why she would do such a thing. Wtf trying to relax the private area. That had to hurt like a MF. Can you imagine going to the er and explaining that to the doctors n nurses. Wow unbelievable. She gave a story that will live on with those Doctors n nurses. I’m speechless.

I'm almost 63 years old. I gave up on trying to get my hair to do what I wanted and not what it wanted to do. My granddaughter at 3 years old saw my hair shining in the sunshine and she told me "Grandma, you have sparkly hair like my pretty pony does". So I'm proudly showing my sparkly (white) hair and each year I have a few more to show. No products except spray-in conditioner are put on my hair. Wherever I went beauticians would exclaim about my healthy hair. Now because if medications it isn't the healthy look it should have, but when fighting an illness, you learn new priorities. There's a reason for that healthy hair I use to have. Shampoo once or twice a week, no products used and air drying, no curlers/ curling irons are used either. Just love what God gave you and be happy you have hair.

I stopped coloring when I was 45. I found out that I have this perfectly placed fat silver streak on the front of my head. I love it and it’s free!
I quit blow drying and curling my hair at 47. I don’t use shampoo like I used to, either. My hair is tons healthier, but yeah, I also have a medical condition that isn’t kind to my hair, so I have to be careful.
I’m 52 now, and not being a slave to styling products and dye is wonderful.

I have been doing exactly the same for years too, just use shampoo, conditioner, dry off a bit with a towel & then let it dry naturally...I don't use any products either ...
Though I have to say I did use all that, when I was younger, alongside dying it, with box dyes at home, maybe once or twice a year. I'm naturally dark blonde, so I would just use a slightly lighter warm blonde colouring to brighten it up a little.

Funny cause I recently saw a video of a professional doing that, it’s to make thin eyebrows look thicker. Though I believe she put some kinda protective on the skin.

Some curly haired people (me included) have really coarse brow hairs that curl up and don't stay in place, on top of that the curly/coarse texture makes them look thin and messy, however that's easily fixable with a brow lamination which is much safer for your skin and eyes.

They’re 19&17 and it’s because they want a black person to show them how to take care of their hair. I think the young lady may be biracial and doesn’t have a black auntie close by to tell her about the dangers of home box relaxers because she didn’t base the area, didn’t know relaxers on eyebrows is a NO and didn’t use the neutralizer

I started coloring my best friend hair while in beauty school. Years later she wanted a perm and I refused for two years because she was a platinum blonde and we already was doing all kinds of things to keep it healthy enough to keep highlighting it. I don’t know if it was because we were friends so she didn’t believe me but she calls me one day hysterical crying. She had went to the most expensive salon around us and got a perm. She said the woman only left it on her hair 5 minutes but it fried her hair. They did many treatments and when she came to my shop her hair had been a few inches below her bra strap was cut to her chin. Honestly it needed to be shaved. I have never seen hair so damaged in my life. She had to pay 100 for the perm then they changed her 100 for the treatments.

WHY WOULD SHE PUT RELAXER ON HER EYEBROWS??!!!!! I use a relaxer on a regular basis. When it starts to burn, rubbing it makes it so much worse, and not having protective oil on the scalp makes it burn faster. Then she just wipes? You have to rinse that stuff out. She needed to put her entire face under running water and try not to drown herself or get the chemical in her eyes. And why didn't she use the neutralizer that came with it to neutralize the chemicals? I have so many questions for this woman that she probably can't even answer and they all start with why. Just why.

As someone with thick, wiry, wavy eyebrows, I do understand the desire to make them more manageable. However, I have smelled perm/relaxer solution. It is horrid and corrosive, and there is no way I would ever put that near my eyes! I recommend trimming individual brow hairs so they don't form the curl pattern and using the Benefit 24 hour brow gel to get that laminated effect. It's better than soap in my opinion, but soap brows seem to work well with finer hair. Definitely better than a chemical relaxer!

My eyebrows curl up like a moustache and are very very thick, but I would never put a chemical that burns in them. Honestly the only thing you can do is trim them or use wax. Shampoo and conditioner if they are thin enough maybe.

Go to an eyebrow specialist. They have the correct mixtures, colours and tools.
    Commonsense, people, commonsense.

We learned how to do relaxers in beauty school and I wouldn’t touch them with a 10 foot pole. It is so easy to get a chemical burn from these and I just didn’t want to be responsible for that.

The girl that bleached her hair should get a pixie cut, it would look so cute on her! Like Michelle Williams's hair when she was on Dawson's Creek!

Hello Hair Buddha! Thank you so much for all your educational videos, my knowledge is on next level. But I have one concern, what is better for hair: blond hair dye with 40vol developer or bleach with 20vol developer? I'm platinum blond and hair dye not always looks so bright and clear as after bleach and toner...

In Canada we have brow gel but she should see an esthetician at a place that do brows to get advice at least once. It’s more than worth the cost.

Wees maar zeker dat mensen soms zijn mmmmmmggrrrrrr ! Love your comments, I hope people start to take your professional advice serious. So many beautiful young ladies, never content with their lovely features.

in Brasil we use relaxer on brows to make them “stay combed” all day long, we call it brow lamination… i really like the effect of an eye lift it gives but its surely dangerous to use it on sensitive skin, i got mine burned once
