My mom is self taught bc we're broke and she has 5 kids. She knows how to do men's and women's cuts bc 1 of her kids is my half brother (not biologically hers, but she sees him as hers) and also my dad always had her do his hair and my stepdad has her do his hair. So when I came out as trans she was able to do a masculine hair cut on me and looks amazing. She does have mostly professional equipment.

@@yeolloey1730 In the US, it could get you into serious legal trouble regarding child endangerment at worst, and probably mass public disapproval. That’s not to be disrespectful to your country’s culture either, because I can understand how that would be perfectly normal. It was the same way in some small towns and rural parts of east and northeast India. For someone to be pedophile was unheard of, probably because anonymity was impossible. It’s not like people didn’t know pedophiles were a thing, but it almost never happened in those parts (cities are a different story, but that’s a consequence of urban life). Here in the US, it wouldn’t and shouldn’t be considered ok.
