Thank you for reshowing how to put the filling in the rice paper. I noticed during your second time doing it that you put the filling closer to the end that you're first going to fold over. That's probably a very important step. Rather than putting it in the middle of the rice paper circle.

I did prepare these this afternoon - they were easy and VERY TASTY. 10 rolls of the batch - ate 7 and I'm looking at the leftover 3 - but I think I'll save it for romorrow. :) Lived in the US before becoming an expat - and LOVED the Asian food choices there.

I had two challenges that I faced: first, with the frying of the dumplings, because they tend to stick to each other and even to the spatula, so I was wondering what kind of material should the spatula be so they wouldn't stick. The other challenge that I had was that they tend to break, so I'm going to try to wrap a second sheet of paper and see how that goes! Thank you again! ❤😊
Thank you for finding the recipe easy to follow. Regarding your questions, first, to prevent the dumplings from sticking together, make sure to space them out while cooking. If they stick to the spatula, try lightly oiling it. If the dumpling wrappers burst, wrapping them in two layers of rice paper might help. So great to hear that! I wouldn't recommend making many rice paper dumplings in advance. It's best to make just the amount you'll eat at once. They taste great when eaten right away, but the rice paper is thin, so the texture isn't as good when eaten later. Hope this works. Happy cooking!😊👍

I'm a bit disabled so, l prefer to make full quantities of anything l make, then, freeze some for later cos, the original effort is the same but, the freezer meal is a bonus. Oh wow. I actually bought rice paper wrappers last week! Super excited to make these. Could I make a batch of these and freeze some once they're wrapped but, before l fry them?
So great to hear that! I wouldn't recommend making many rice paper dumplings in advance. It's best to make just the amount you'll eat at once. They taste great when eaten right away, but the rice paper is thin, so the texture isn't as good when eaten later. Hope this works. Happy cooking!😊👍

I'm a bit disabled so, l prefer to make full quantities of anything l make, then, freeze some for later cos, the original effort is the same but, the freezer meal is a bonus. That said, l think the best thing to do will be make the mix, freeze some of that then, wrap them when l'm ready to eat them. 🙂
