Linocut Printmaking - Marilyn Monroe Portrait

Marelyn Monroe portrait work with line. Made with high printing technique. A linoleum used for flooring was used as the material. You can watch the engraving, checking and printing stages in the video. A high pressure press was used in the printing phase. Enjoy watching :)

Were you using different pressure or a different gouge for opening up the lines? Just trying to figure out how the lines were widened where needed. Great video, thanks!

I made a different thickness for each line. I made a bitmap and converted the photo to line shape in PS. Thanks :)

How to change the normal image the image in your video

This is the linoleum printing technique. In the first stage, the lino is carved. In the second stage, paint is applied on the lino and printing is done.

Print the work on paper as a laser print. Place it upside down on the plate. Pour acetone on it. Press with a cloth so that the work passes over the plate. In another method, place the work upside down on the plate. You can transfer it by giving heat with an iron. You have to do a few tries for a good result. There may be changes according to the plate and the printed image.

Asetonla transfer edebilirsiniz. Ben çukur baskı presini kullanıyorum ama elle de yapılabilir. Plakayı iyice temizleyin. Çalışmayı plakanın üzerine ters olarak yerleştirin, pamuk üzerine aseton sıkıın ve kağıdın üzerine sürün. Başka bir kağıt yerleştirerek metal kaşıkla basınç uygulayın. İyi bir sonuç için bastığınız kağıttaki lazer baskı mürekkebi çok önemli. Bazı baskılar iyi sonuç vermiyor. Birkaç yerden baskı alarak deneme yapabilirsiniz.
