- Fellow Legends, welcome! Today we dive into another amazing Pint video, this time about the legendary Kugane Tower and Pint's journey to break the old World Record. Kip is still in post-game ARR, so I haven't quite gotten to Kugane Tower yet. However, I look forward to conquering the tower. Not sure how they get the shots specifically, but you can literally set up a wall in your character house and paint it a very distinct bright blue. This acts surprisingly well as a Blue Screen (I've literally done it myself as a goof), meaning you could have a character just do whatever in front of the screen and it'll work to cut them out of the shot. So I imagine they hide menus, do that, get some basic cleanup if they have wonkiness with effects, and then they just overlay it on top of whatever.
It's really cool because if you're dedicated enough, you can paint all kinds of furniture and stuff the same bright blue, meaning you can basically just make a little film studio in your house to work with for all kinds of situations. Everything else is just basic PNGs being cut out, stretching the character for a goofy transition between shots, and lots of clean editing to hide the cuts.
I think he's a little mistaken about the Ninja ability though? That used to be my main class back in Heavensward. I remember having to make a target macro for it to make any use of the ability because aiming the free roaming reticle in the middle of a fight was a pain. As far as I know, you could -always- teleport either to a location of your choice, or a target, if you made the command for it.

and then there of us who skipped the tower entirely, self destruct seppuku'd via BLU and just had someone rez us on the view point because thats the _real_ reason for the puzzle.

If you're gonna do a ranged physical job, that's honestly probably a good call. I tried levelling bard just because I thought Dancer was so overdone and I wanted to be a little unique, but man, bard was underwhelming all the way from 1 to 90. Your AOE in particular is actually quite solid, but... eh. The single target is nothing to write home about and the mechanics aren't super engaging.
EDIT: Haven't really tried machinist, so can't comment too much on that one beyond their reputation as having some of the worst DPS of all the DPS classes right now.
I've dabbled in machinist it's OK, but the damage is pretty not there
I wish Machinist hit harder, but it's honestly really fun. The AoE is a bit wonky (stand still to flamethrower), but it's really consistent. And the burst phase is honestly pretty fun, especially if you're like me and you love seeing animation cancels into other moves. Weirdly, the worst part is the bomb phase because it's annoying to keep track of when the bomb is back up, but yeah. Just needs some basic buffs to get up to par with something between ranged and caster damage and it'd be good.
Still super usable in dungeons, it's just weak compared to other classes, sadly.

Man i suck so hard at Leap of Faith that im not even gonna consiythis.
I played gw2 and I hate the jps in that game (I did 90% of them by employing mesmers). Even the so-called "easy" ones are too hard for me.
I refuse to touch the ones in ffxiv.
I find it funny that after this super annoying edited video was posted. The old world record beat this record by like 5 whole seconds. Dude was prepared just in cass
Guarantee pint knew it was coming. It took approximately 7 seconds of time save abilities just to beat his old record that couldn't use it.
I doubt pint had any delusions that the record would hold up, however even beating the original record was impressive. Proving just how much or a monster shaeden truly is.
It's wasn't that he was prepared just in case, he beat the tower with a faster time using Pint's strategy. Meaning he could of only started the run after the video was out to see the strategy, and then go for it.
@@Blitzwaffen Using the new dashing jobs isn't exactly a strategy only Pint could come up with and his run is fairly different from Pint's. Emo also uses Dragoon's backflip in his run.
@@Blitzwaffen Worth noting, he literally commented on Pint's video. He knew they were making attempts. I wouldn't be surprised if they just waited for the video to come out and then just beat it immediately completely fairly, like they seem more than confident enough to let their skills speak for themselves at this point.
