I’m anxious for season4 yet, I must admit I’m anxious to see more scenes with Colin & Penelope. There were so many other stories that their scenes seemed a little rushed and their story incomplete. We see them reconcile with a dance & then they have a baby. We need more!! Make up the time they were shorted by so many other love stories. I want to see those too, but give Polin justice!! I’ve watched season three an embarrassing amount of times. Their story is so real and relatable. What’s better than friends to lovers? Give us more!
The showrunners are so ashamed of having a plumper heroine that they seems can't imagine how to love, I wouldn't expect much of Pen and Colin.
@@iryna1722It seems a bit like a reach to blame the not so good writing of previous season on fatphobia
I’ve watched seasons 1-3 100 times already!
Huge fan of the Bridgerton book series and Julia Quinn's characters. Book readers not only invest their time and their money, but we also have a very deep commitment to the characters. When adaptations are made it's always so exciting right up until the point where the stories and characters we love to the core of our hearts are no longer recognizable. Shonda could have created an entirely new series with new characters to tell a story that accurately reflects the queer experience she wants to portray. It would have definitely been more inclusive and would have allowed a new romance world and fan base to emerge. If Shonda can create the very regal Queen Charlotte just imagine the new romance world she could create! With the changes that have been made and changes we've been told will be made, I feel a bit cheated of my original Julia Quinn happily ever after and on the tail end of a Shonda bait and switch scheme. Even so, I will always have my 8 books to assuage my Bridgerton heart and I will still be looking forward to season 4 which cannot come soon enough.tfs
It would be amazing if she would have kept to the actual books. I was very very disappointed in Kate. She was unrecognizable.
I miss Simon so much. Hoping to see him soon on screen . Plsss 😫
Not likely. He was great but they are messing things up so much I don't care anymore. It stopped making sense and I think they messed up POLIN on Season 3.
Me too 😭
I loved Season 3, it was wonderful. I’m hoping Season 4 is just as good.
I agree with you. I have watched season 3 at least one a month. ❤️
I agree I loved season 3 too; however it seemed rushed. They fight, they make up at the reveal of LW, dance and then have a baby! We haven’t seen many happy scenes.
I already rewatch the seasons 3rd time
I hope they bring Eloise back. ❤❤❤
They will cover her in season 5 I believe I read somewhere.
Season 3 was not very good. Too many side stories and not enough character development
@@nancyday7948 it actually was my favorite of the 3
Loved season 3. Every minute if it.
Even though I really enjoyed season 3, I have to agree. There were two many side stories. I would have like to see the characters develop more. It seemed a bit rushed between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington; very glad to see them together but in the show it was too rushed in my opinion.
Agreed! It was the worst season ever. And completely a let down. Which is shame considering they were the one we were waiting for and it was a dud.
I agree about the side stories
Still feel robbed on the main Story from season 3 😕
I feel like they should have let Benedict's arc simmer a bit more and maybe moved on to Eloise. Francesca's story also needs to marinate a bit more.
Benedicts story and book was my favorite. I wish they had kept the books in order. Why does TV feel the need change the story and book. I can't wait to see who they cast for Benedicts love interest because I definitely had a visual in my head.
I hate these excuses Netflix gives how can a network TV show pump out our long episodes for 25 or 30 episodes in a season and do it every year but Netflix can’t? I get that these are more elaborate productions but they need to make it happen bring in more writers, bring in more editors do what you have to do. Additionally, as soon as you’re done writing one season start writing the next season so that it can flow faster. There’s no reason it takes two years. They need to be in production on multiple seasons at once, even if they’re at different points in production.
Allowing actors to have time to have a break or do other projects is not a bad thing. More episodes faster isn't better. A lot of shows have tons of filler episodes and writing quality is a mixed bag for a reason.
The reason is because there is only eight bridgerton siblings so the eight episodes
My friend worked in TV and they’d do 24 episodes a season in 8 months. I asked him how long even with the sets and costumes and he said, 8-12 months. I personally think it’s Shondaland that can’t do it. Most production companies even the actors the most time off. I think writers get like 4 weeks between seasons but whoever the lead writer for each episode is one set for filming then back to the writers room. Set design goes in 2-4 weeks before filming. Shondaland is using a lot of the same sets and some if the magic of film like the butterflies. I just think they don’t have it together. I mean Luke and Nicola were finished filming in 2023, then spent 6 months on a media tour. What was Shondland doing?
@@PandoraBear357 Shorter seasons have lost a lot of character growth that longer show's filler episodes were all about, but longer seasons aren't necesarally the fix. I think there needs to be 10 to 13 episodes instead of single episode number seasons as we've been getting, to flesh character development, and let stories breathe instead of seasons just being 5 to 8 hour movies, as many have become. 10 to 13 is the better option, in my opinion. Longer seasons have the problem your stating and shorter seasons have the problems I stated. None of this even gets into quantity over quality issues more episodes cause or production at a faster rate issues.
This is such an American thing... and it's honestly very entitled. In the UK we go for 6 episode series and focus on quality. 25-30 episodes is mass produced bullsh^t and demanding a team to produce that fast ruins the creativity and quality. Having too many people working on one project makes it lack cohesion. People really need to relearn patience.
Greetings from Australia - I binged watched it the whole weekend it was extremely hot so a good time to stay in doors and keep cool watch Briderton I love it! Bring on the next Season...
Anthony and Kate's chemistry kept me begging for more, season 2 definitely my favorite season but Colin and Penelope were close....Simone Ashley is seriously the most beautiful woman I've ever saw...can't wait for season 4!
Shondaland.... You told you guys we have 2 years to wait???? Im dying over here
Thanks for the preview. Season 4 looks fine (I love the idea of a cross-class pairing!) but I wish, since they went out on a limb and made Benedict bi, that they would have taken us to India and Scotland for this season, and let him go off and have some more adventures first. It all seems too quick - first he's an artist, then he's with this hot and caring older woman, then he's bi but doesn't want to settle down and next we see him he falls for Cinderella?
So far my favorite seasons were 1 because it was all so new and startling and gloriously visual. Then 3 because I love the Pen-Colin story, and I loved the resolution of the search for Lady Whistledown. I have enjoyed each season no matter what because of the fine acting and GORGEOUS production values. I am looking forward beyond season 4 to (hopefully) more of Lady Violet and her beau, and possibly one final fling for Lady Danbury. But even more than season 1 and 3 I ADORED Queen Charlotte. Now THAT is a love story. And it did so much to help me understand the pressure the Queen is under, why she can be so focused on seemingly meaningless things, and Lady Danbury's history. If you have not seen Queen Charlotte, treat yourself. It's amazing!
I agree... We should have waited one more season for Benedict... He needed a little more time to simmer considering the reveal he's bi. I think Eloise would have been the next best choice since we also need to let Francesca's story marinate a bit more as well.
Hopefully there will be a season 5 with Eloise and Pen and Coli
Her story will be great! Her book was one of my favorites!
I like him with that black lady from season 1
I'm going to wait to resubscribe to netflix until season 5. I was disappointed with season 3.
There are so many other shows and movies that are so awesome on Netflix. I wouldn't base your decision to subscribe on Netflix solely on Bridgerton. The movie The Perfect Couple was really good, not to mention shows like Outterbanks, The Diplomat, and then there are other great foreign shows like the Italian show Lidia Poet (it's dubbed in English) to mention at least one; which is based on a true story. They also have great documentaries like the most recent one Martha Stewart. I learned a lot more about her character and what she has gone through.
Sad, season 3 was amazing.
Bridgerton 1 with Regé Jean Page was the best !
Season 3 is definitely my favorite although I found Penelope's heavy breathing over done.
And there’s the books! I love how Benedict’s painting is a secret until his story unfolds in them. Rosalyn Landor, the narrator for the audio books is an absolute genius. It would be fun if she did a cameo one season. ✨ The shows interpretation is unique enough and so well done I truly enjoy both forms for different reasons. 💖
I absolutely adore her reading! I've listened to so many of the books now and I couldn't imagine any other reader.
2 years IS too long to wait.
So same story another round… they do like each other, then suddenly, the guy who did not want to marry… who was bi, gets married
I'm Big fen of the Netflix series. The first and second seasons are my favorites ... and I think season 4 will be my favorite too :) I'm a little disappointed with season 3 and its delay, as well as the fact that season 4 won't be released until 2026.
I think is 2025
Season 4 of Bridgerton is gonna DESTROY every other season that came before... I feel it in my bones!!
@@callmecristal I agree. Though I really enjoyed the whistledown aspect along with the featherington plot. I new twist and plot is much needed and ppl will enjoy the “Rags to Riches” story in this series since were all very familiar with it. I really hope Kate and Anthony get more screen time in this series and I’m interested to see what role Penelope will play as a Bridgerton and the newly unveiled lady whistledown. This season will be the most interesting
Loved seasons 1 and 2 however I did not enjoy season 3. I am looking forward to season 4.
So excited
I didn’t like season 3 hopefully you do better with season 4
2 years? Why? At this rate the grandchildren in bridgerton will soon be adults. Crazy.
Hopefully it won't be as disappointing as season 3 part 2.
I was already wondering when a Asia would be represented. ( I don't mean India Asia ) China , South Korea, Japan, Philipines etc.
Wait is too long for S4 😢…..
Honestly i think eloise deserves the spotlight for season 4 before benedict on how they've shown the pressure to settle down are put on women around this period. Men just didn't have that age pressure and I think benedicts story could've waited after. This focus for this season doesn't look so good after s3 wasn't too interesting. Netflix at its finest disappointing fans.
But that’s the point. She refuses to be pressured into settling down. I haven’t read the books, but I believe she is older once she decides to marry? It’s going to be a very different type of love story/story line.
2026!!! They're insane for that!
"Sophie is the only character in the entire series who isn't part of the upper class Society."
Actually, that is completely false, because Sophie is the illegitimate daughter of the Earl of Penwood. And he did raise her from the age of three up.
Having read the books and thoroughly enjoyed them, it is interesting to now have to get used to the characters being portrayed by actors that do not fit the original descriptions.
First, there was the change from Katherine Sheffield to Kate Sharma, and now the change from Sophie Beckett to Sophie Baek (I think the pronunciation would probably be more like "bay-ek" rather than "bek" given the name is supposed to be east asian, but that's just me...🥴)
Also, YAYYY!! for team aussie getting a crack at one of the biggest shows in a very long time...
Go Yerin!! Hope you have a fanbloodytastic time making the show!! And as we say down here,,,"Don't do anything I wouldn't do"...😉
🙃🐨🇦🇺
Good things are worth waiting for. 💖
2026 I guess I won't be hanging around for that. Ridiculously long time. I'll stick to the books and maybe Prime or Paramount will give me something better to watch.
This was my greatest favourite of the Bridgeton books.
So you know nothing more than we do
Season 1 and 2 were wonderful but season 3 was awful....season 4 will be my decider as to whether I bother with the rest of it or just stick to the books which are fantastic
Good lord, the over photoshopped thumbnail for this page makes it look like he's marrying a giraffe.....
you made her neck very long in the thumbnail.
I loved Season 2 - well-matched and sexy. Didn't care for Season 3. For Season 4, Luke is a little too effeminate for me.
Uh. I give up. They kind of wandered off the storyline so far that there is no coming back. It is making less and less sense each season. I mean honestly.
I'm still waiting untill they cancell or finish the whole story :D I'm not going to watch it untill then. Not after all of those changes they've already made. I need to be prepeard :D
And then a major drop after the saw how crappy season 3 was. And it was not Pen's fault. They robbed them of a good season.
Jessie Mei Li as mixedrace would have made more sense because her biological father was not full Asian.! Hello. People, eeek. Tink!
Woke agendas took over this series. I won't be back. Gay-ifying characters is a massive turn off.
Netflix just likes to make everyone wait to build anticipation. I will not watch another series it takes too long
It takes way too long. I will have lost interest in two years. I have done that before when there was a two year gap between series, such as Game of Thrones and that witch thing I can’t even remember the name of. I just couldnt get back jnto them, even when I had rewatched the previous seasons.
@@SweetLotusDreams Stranger Things. I stooped after season 2
@@tiffanydavis1092 to be honest I only managed about 6 episodes if Stranger Things. I just didn’t get into it at all and yet there are people who say it was one of the best shows ever. Maybe I just didn’t stick with it long enough
They all do this!! Outlander series was the same way, making us wait so long for the next Season!! Lots of fans were upset!!!
While I have greatly enjoyed the series, I am disappointed with the Cinderella theme. It essentially reveals the entire plot of the fourth season, and we already know the ending. I hope that at least the other storylines are engaging and unpredictable.
Katie Leung is waaaay too young to play Sophie’s stepmom!!! 😡😡😡
Dear lord above - could you have photoshopped Sophie worse? Looks like she has a giraffe neck.
Wheeee
What a waste of time….. they never follow the books so what’s the use in watching??…….
2026. WHATTTTT!
Happy to stick with the books. My imagination is way better than the show. Couldn’t bear watching season 3 part 2. The only thing I enjoyed was the scenery and the costumes. They moved too far away from the books for my liking. Glad others like it but I don’t like cringing and feeling extremely disappointed whilst watching a show so will not be watching this series ever again. 😬
I need to rewatch, as I thought the show was leaning more towards the DEI side & making the character gay?
Two years is very long time. Writting, shooting, editting, dubbing are waterfall-style actions I understand that they cannot be at the same time. However they could have started writting much before when the previous season was in shooting or editing time range.
Moreover, it is silly to think that dubbing in multiple language should take more time. You must lead it on parallell. Korean or Spanish or Arabic etc you just have three projects at the same time. It is not like shooting to use same actors :D you have different people in every language.
The whole plan is so silly. When things get very long, they always lose their quality. Just like Game of Thrones. Its latest seasons were shit. Writers changed. Actors got older. It did not fit having Dany in her adult time but having character of teenage girl with full of emotions.
Similar for Supernatural tv show. The latest seasons were weird because the actors got older, they needed to develop older personalities around them.
We have 8 siblings in Bridgerton. You cannot put 2 years between seasons. They will get older… Or maybe the actors will resign. Or maybe we will get bored of it. Similar like American Horror Stories. The more the years passed, main actors resigned and the stayed-ones got older and they did not fit in some certain roles so the production hired more and more people to fit in some type of roles.
It really does not ring a bell to me about a tv show which took very long time for many seasons and stayed at the same quality… It always turns to shit.
Well last season was not so good and ending was awful, after watching downtown Abby I do recognize how wonderful this show is, cause DTA is absolutely awful, can’t wait
I wish that the show would have stayed true to the books that I loved.
I am so tired of this rubbish.
I'm done with it.
There are much more beautiful actors of Asian industry.so I think these cast is not so attractive to watch. so I’m very sad about that for example there is a Lisa from BLACKPINK. She is very beautiful and I think she could act as a main cast
Sorry, but I kind of wished it was Jessie Mei Li. It would have made more sense, since she would have been bi racial. so, duhhh. They are trying to please too many people but heck, who cares about history ¨(toss history book and Original novel out the window) OK. alrighty then!
Don’t really care for Benedict as a character ybh
I absolutely hate this show and didn’t watch past the first season.
Ok. Guess I'm skipping Season 4 since it's going to focus on THE MOST lackluster and boring character, Benedict. It's going to give Season 2 a run for the money for most boring season produced. I'm not a big fan of the Enemies to Lovers trope. Kate was just annoying to me. Bossy characters constantly bickering and trying to 1 up each other...ugh...kiss of death storyline. Now we're going to have to wait until Season SIX to get to Hyancinth, which is the one I'm waiting for. That's if temperamental Netflix doesn't ax the series before then.
I loved Benedict the most! I found him the most confused and conflicted.
But Kate wasn't a lady either in the show who was a lady was Edwina I am not excited anymore for bridgerton it's getting closer n closer to it's end!!!!
I will still tune in!!!!
2 years is bullshit. I will not be watching. Every other show can pit out episodes faster but they can’t? Bs
I am tired of the same old story over and over again. I liked the fact that Benedicts character gave us something different, his bisexuality. To hit at in season one, to skip it in 2, and to just touch it in 3, is a cheat. His lifestyle is exciting and would be interesting to see how it is dealt with in that time period. It seems he will close the door on that, and live his life out in a closet. Which is a cheat.
which is exactly how it was done in that time and age, what did you expect?
i hated they made him bi.
Hes bi so the problem isnt him being with a women, but i do think they should at least touch on his bisexuality in season 4
@@susaz7694 whomp whomp
He was heterosexual in the books, and he’s was an artist, he wasn’t running around doing absolutely nothing, like a spoiled, rich aristocrat, his first love was his family and his second was his art and they showed none of that
Wish the casting stuck with what book described… not a fan of these extreme mixed race casting it doesn’t feel like real…
It explains this in the very 1st season. There are mixed race marriages everywhere. I like the diversity. It is a show. How realistic does it have to be???!!!!
Well the reason it doesn’t feel real is because it isn’t. Your issues with diversity and inclusion says everything I need to know about you.
And I bet that you don’t think that your racist or that this statement was racist either smh
You write a book for finding love in 21st century and make a series out of it with as many race inclusion as you like. No one should say it doesn’t feel real because it resonates with the society and era we live in. However when you read a book or watch a movie belongs to 1800 then it should picture that period. Hope it makes sense…
@@GintW1971 the story is fiction and so is the series!! It should do as the executive producer and writers of the series ask of it. And that’s to become the most viewed series on Netflix with season 3 having over 2 billion views in its first week. The formula they’re using is working @and you can’t stand it@ ( In my Penelope Bridgerton voice!!) And the Executive Producer is a black woman so why wouldn’t you expect diversity inclusion to be an included especially when it’s FICTION!!
I hate how the writers keep going off script and making the characters unbelievable. I lave Benadict and want him finally a blonde blue eyed real Cinderella. Not one has married their own race. Give us at least one. This also shows diversity
Just to be super clear, your issue is the race of the actresses/actors they’ve casted outside of the Bridgerton family? And how none of the Bridgerton family has married anyone white?
and your name is aptly Karen. Have a lilly white day
Being blonde and blue-eyed doesn't automatically make for a "real" Cinderella. We have plenty of stories where white people marry other white people, please refer to those if you're tired of seeing people of color on screen.
Bruh Colin and Penelope are the same race???? And Eloise and Philip are the same race too even though we haven’t gotten to their season yet- also who cares?? All of the cast has done a beautiful job with their roles
Sorry to say, you sound racist!! And what do you call Colin and Penelope???!!!!
Great things are worth waiting, but this show is nothing worth of waiting.
Wow....who would have thought stuffy Regency Era was SO BLOODY DIVERSE. I stopped watching after season 1. Same reason I stopped watching The Great. Stop ruining these historical dramas by trying to set them to meet "modern culture".
Good. One viewer less of spindoctoring an awful russian queen. She brought some much pain and death to my land and still no remorse or reflection from russians and their and maga fans.
