    This video was clutch. Thank you man! I just Purchased 2 Jmaz spot 150’s as my 1st moving heads and was able to set up the donner on remote for sound active. So cool. The menu layout is a lil different on the 150’s but your video really made it happen for me so thanks for sharing.
    Since these are my 1st moving head I’m curious how you secure your movers on the Rockville Totums? Do you do anything special with cabling/ bolts/ brackets or do you just use the pad they provide and stink them up there? With them being up high and so expensive that idea make me nervous so I’m seeking best practices.

      Happy my vid helped. I used a small piece of Velcro because it was quick and sturdy enough

    How do you like this considering they do not have ZOOM modification capability? I was thinking of the ATTCO Spot 200’s and they only auto-focus, no zoom.

      I actually don't own the Attco spots anymore

    Are these Donner systems battery powered? Truly wireless.
    I’m thinking about using these for J maz moving heads in Totums. I’m just wondering if I need to run power for the transmitter and receiver or can I charge the units before the event and just plug them into the back of the moving heads before the show.
    It’s not a dealbreaker since I need power for the moving heads anyways but just curious.

      They are battery powered but I tend to keep them plugged in…I used a cable splitter for the power.

    Seems like you haven’t posted a video in a long time using your JMAZ moving heads or your Wash FX. Are those lights a thing of the past replaced by tube lights?

      I’ve replaced the moving heads…just bought the Chauvet battery operated moving head tho and love it…video coming soon

      I was just about to grab the JMAZ because of your video but I was torn, I like the battery power and the remote but I don’t think JMAZ has both. I’m going to wait for your video before I decide. Thanks

      They were good just didn’t have the time to wire them up and dmx them as well at events being a single op…They were dope though when I did use them.

      @@lavishlifedjs wouldn’t you have the same issue with Chauvet battery ones? I’m a single app and got a great deal on a pair of the 100s. Basically two of these lights cost 300 bucks less than one battery powered light.

    I have all my settings exactly as you and I initially connected using the supplied dmx cable and they work in unison, when I hook up the Donners, the Slave unit will not work in strobe mode it does something else. only the master works in strobe mode, what am I doing wrong?
    I played back your 1st video and I noticed one of your units which I believe is the slave did the same thing when you hit strobe mode it didn’t do anything it reacted momentarily and stopped like mine. only the master worked.
    **UPDATE, I noticed other functions such as dimmer besides strobe not working on the slave unit with the Donners but works perfectly with Dmx cable???
    I even tried changing channels on the Donners.
    What’s your experience/suggestions?

    • @lavishlifedjs
      @lavishlifedjs  3 роки тому

      Honestly not sure...I’ll try to look at them if I have time...did you turn off the RF remote for the slave ?

    • @djjerryg_soundexpressenter5874
      @djjerryg_soundexpressenter5874 3 роки тому +1

      @@lavishlifedjs yes. I turned off the RF remote option on the slave.
      Everything else works great with the exception of the strobe and the dimmer I am the slave, in your first video I remember when you hit the strobe button it appeared that the slave did not react.
      Just to reiterate this is only one using the Donners. When I use A DMX cable everything works with no issues.
      I was reading the fine print with the Donner Manuel it said on some moving head units to turn off the master function due to a conflict with certain moving head units

      @@lavishlifedjs No luck in trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. Does your slave light work when in strobe mode using the Donners? If so what else do you have turned off besides the remote?
      Like I mentioned earlier when I use the XLR cable all the functions work.

    Can you control where the spot goes with the remote?

    • @lavishlifedjs
      @lavishlifedjs  3 роки тому

      You can control all 4 with just one remote...if you want all 4 lights in sound active to sinc you’ll need dmx cables/wireless dmx dongles...but I just found an issue tho with strobing and the wireless dongles don’t work but having them wired together do
