I am a member of Dancing with the Sea. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Paulo taught me more in 6 months than I could have taught myself in 20 years and that is NOT an exaggeration!
One line really stood out in the commentary and that was..'It is all about rhythm, timing and understanding your partner..the water'. I think that will change my kayaking forever. Thank you and I wish you well.
I love your approach to kayaking, it has aided me in many ways. I did a 24 mile paddle the other day with a friend. In the middle of the paddle we went to an area that had a sandbar so there was surfing in the middle of the ocean. This was my first time surfing, yes, I did capsize. I did not panic because I was with a capable paddler and I have a roll. My roll failed but I did grab some air. When I realized I could reach the sandbar and keep my head above water I realized it may be safer to do a wet exit, which I did. This gave us the opportunity to do a rough water assented rescue. The rescue took all of 30 seconds. We paddles out of the surf, I got out and we emptied my kayak. The paddle resumed. At the end with 2 miles to go we decided to practice our rolls, they did not fail and where smooth... Did I make the right call by punching out? Should I have tried a combat roll? Is there a better side to sweep towered the wave or away from the waive?

Thank you sweet Paulo.
Brilliant Paulo. Thank you for all the awesome loving work that you do to give kayakers confidence, safety and joy when they are on the water.
You are very welcome.

Rolling has built my confidence and skills for paddling in conditions. Keep practicing and training your skills on the water.
Muchas Gracias Paulo.

Beautiful. Can’t wait to learn this from you.
I look forward to it.
Can you roll a sea kayak without wearing a spray skirt?
yes but you will get a lot of water entering the cockpit.
My favourite part stays the one in which you eat your chocolate.
This is the most extreme part in the video as eating while lying on your back can lead to choking (-:
