I applaud the ladies who admitted that they cared about money, even though it can be viewed as shallow or selfish. In a culture that values face and harmony, that can be detrimental, but they were still honest about it.

I think anybody who's been in Japan for a long time and who dated Japanese women will realise that money is basically 90% of what women here care about.
It sucks but it is what it is. A lot of Japanese women want to be stay at home (read: they can go and do whatever they want during daytime) wives while hubby brings the cash in. I've heard so many stories of women immediately quitting their jobs and never working again once they got children, too.

I regect the idea of "be yourself" it should be "be the best version of yourself."
Styles vary the further you go east so the best version may be far away from what a Japanese girl is even looking for depending on her age. This is the reason alot of guys in Japan are kinda KINDA not really dating heavy like that. Like most people here that are anywhere in the West if they didn't watch Anime/Manga etc., Visual KEI???? You as a westerner would have no idea what she's talking about. The Japanese women FROM YESTERDAY WERE FAR MORE THE ONES MOST GUYS WOULD WANT.....IN 2023 you will find yourself going I'm not only having to learn Japanese but a new sub culture completely unfamiliar. Kindness was one that kept popping up, and it makes me wonder if Japanese men are especially cold to their significant others or something. You'd figure that'd be a default for a boyfriend or girlfriend.
Also, not surprised about the last girl's response regarding vascular arms. A LOT of women have a sort of jokey/not-jokey attraction to men's forearms and calves. From speaking with my sister and her friends, it seems to be the equivalent of our attraction to hips, thighs, and ass.

Not sure myself but Cathy said it one way right after “kami no nagai”…but typically people would say 長髪 (ちょうはつ/chōhatsu) to mean long hair. Maybe since it’s something she’s fond of she picked up the English phrase and chose to use that with Cathy 🤷♂️
Japanese people nowadays use many japanized english expressions. Even though they have a word for it in Japanese. There’s no particular reason but I suppose in Japan it makes them look cooler in a way ?
