I wanted to say thank you for getting this out more. I had known Caleb and his family since I was a boy, I even worked at MFD with Caleb and Melissa when they first met. He was a great guy and his two boys came first before anything in his life. He had a great relationship with his parents. His mother and father were great as well, they would be the first to offer anything you needed. Melissa was crazy from the start including how she use to tell Caleb how she couldn't have kids of her own due to medical issues and she wanted to adopt. This had a special place in his heart because he could give some child a life like he was given, but months later... She was pregnant. Watching Caleb become a father was... Next level. Being a father was his dream, he put his family and boys before everything and everyone. Melissa on the other hand didn't like the fact that the boys were now the centre of attention and the boys idolized their father. Caleb was never a huge drinker till she kicked him out and tried to take the kids from him. Sure he would have a few drinks from time to time like any of us but never like he did after that. Her taking the kids crushed him. And Chris stepped into the picture within days of her kicking Caleb out. Chris was manipulated by her from the start, he was easily distracted as a meathead... Just a big guy without to much of anything else. That poor guy was seduced by her and manipulated into doing her bidding. I hope the boys never want to see Melissa again even though she's their mother. I wish we had the death penalty here so Melissa and Chris would both hang. Chris for doing it and her for being the puppet Master behind all of it, she is the true face of evil. RIP Caleb lord knows you are hanging out with Bret Hart, the giant and all the rest of the WWE
Caleb's actions are ultimately his own. It cannot be excused that he killed someone in a drunk driving accident.
However it should be noted, his children's custody was taken away from him and he spent time in jail for was most likely a false accusation of domestic violence. I don't make that claim lightly, but given Melissa's track record of false allegations following his accident it seems likely that the previous ones were probably false as well.
With that said, I could understand why he would fall into depression and drinking. Again, his actions are completely his own, he chose to get in the car while intoxicated. But Melissa helped him get there.
What a terrible person, this was a hard story hear
To @SellswordArts: You can’t say Caleb’s actions are completely his own, and then say Melissa helped him (Caleb) get there.
@@shawnaweesner3759 Yes you can.
His actions were his own, and no one forced to make gunpoint. There are still other factors to be considered.
The circumstances leading up to his choice are an explanation, not an excuse.
My God. This case is utterly shocking. Melissa is evil. And Chris bought right into her deception and chose to act just as evil. What a tragic story. Your presentation, as always, was superb.

Thank you, Casefile. Excellent work as always.
You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Casefile makes my Saturday great! 👍
My Saturday morning is now getting off on the right foot. Thanks 🙏 CaseFile!!!
I thought I had this case all figured out early on. Boy, was I wrong. Excellent presentation.
Thankyou Casefiles! Perfect way to end a Saturday night!
Crazy. This is my first ever case file and it’s about a case not even an hour from my hometown. Never heard of it until now either
I envy you for all the binge listening you're gonna do. Cheers!

It always makes me smile when you do Canadian cases, Casefile. This country is as unbelievable as the rest of them.
It also makes me happy when I finally have a chance to binge on this series and catch up on the stellar content you produce. 🙂
Thank you, for outstanding coverage. i think I have lstened to every case, I'm addicted :) x
I'm glad to hear it.

Thank you from NSW Coast Australia 🇦🇺. MOIRA.
Melissa should have been charged for Brigid's murder as well. But am glad that she got 25 years to life. What an evil scheming witch!
I'm surprised she hasn't appealed the one conviction she did get actually
@@normandavidtidiman9918she did, won and the retrial is underway
A great way to spend a rainy Saturday night. Thanks casefile!
Those poor children, used as pawns in Melissa's scheming. All 6 children have basically lost their parents for absolutely no reason.
I will never fathom how a parent can justify putting their child through the stress of the loss and grief of the loss of a parent never mind having a murderer for a parent.
Despicable
They are not right in the head
i so look forward to my saturdays now awaiting for my new casefile story thanks!!!
CaseFiles Team, good morning and thanks nice again🙏🙏🙏🙏
Saturday sorted thanxxxxx Casefile 😍
I love it when they internet-search stuff like "Easy ways to kill and get away with it." It's like that scene from Office Space where they look up money laundering in the dictionary.

Great content, to many breaks. 😔
Geez. It is truly scary how we do not know people we share a bed and build a family with.
Fantastic podcast😊
Not sure but the detectives voice sounded familiar. I think it was the same detective that executed the world class interrogation of Russell Williams.......
Love this podcast, I'm addicted!😂
I'm 6:30 in and my god that pathologist. A broken sternum sounds like someone tried to perform CPR, albiet very roughly and potentially TOO roughly, but that is what that sounds like to me at a galnce. You don't normally break a sternum even from standing height.
Cheers Edinburgh lass
Thank you.
You're welcome.
What's with the music in the background?
57:14 my heart goes out to the kids of these monsters. Not only did they lose their grandfather, their grandmother and their daddy but now due to selfish custody BS, have lost their (other) stepfather/father and bitch of a mother!
Love that this is narrated in our awesome Aussie accent!
Cheers 🇦🇺
I happen to be watching this exactly 14 years after it happened!
And as always, what happened to the children??
Pretty sad view of the Mississauga Police, or was it the OPD?
As a friend of Caleb's, both his boys are living with their great aunt and uncle. As for her kids I have no clue but I do hope they are nothing like her
If police would have stopped these murderers after the grandfather or grandmother Caleb would still be here. Shame. How could they not put two and two together?
Crazy ..... thanks ✌️🍷🖤
My the authorities messed all the cases up 😡
Sure
The sheer number of women who falsely accuse & nothing gets done is shocking. If something had been done this tragedy might not have happened.
After Caleb's accident, he had a broken leg and cops came to his door one night... They were literally shocked to find him in a cast with crutches. She had called the cops and told them Caleb came over and beat her. (She didn't know about his accident at that point) and Chris just happened to be "out of town" at the time. As if Caleb would know that either. She was and is a crazy bitch
Honestly if i was the police i wouldn't wanna do anything either, Caleb without a doubt killed someone and he got a slap on the wrist, who would want to do anything when literal killers get to walk free despite having all the evidence done to send them to jail?
Adda adds and more adds
what is a powder room ?
I think it's a rest room for beauty freshening up ,but without toilet etc
@@natalieh4354 oh ok. I thought it was a laundry detergent room or something ..
Toilet and sink, no tub or shower. It's where the fancy soaps go.
Guest bathroom?
It's where household cleaners are stored. Sort of like a small closet.
Toll paid.
Sorry can't finish this ,I am a huge podcast and utube listener and have never had so many adds.
Something tells me this isn't going to have a happy ending.
This is a story of real interest yet you managed to make it sound dull as ditch water, and to add insult to injury you pepper it with ads! I didn't "support" you by listening to the first ad (thank god for the FF button) and by the second ad I was writing this comment. Not even half way through and you've finally put me off sitting through any more...there's a reason why so many views and so few likes.
I'm really liking Melissa for Bill's death.
Odd way to phrase it.
As someone that personally knew her, I'd definitely agree. She is and was a crazy person from day one.
Just listening to this and absolutely shocked at the negligence of the police. Of course Melissa is evil but how inept are the police 🤦🏻♀️😳😳
Remember that this is the same city where caleb literally killed someone and despite police work was still let go with what's basically a slap on the wrist. Would you care about solving it if the person was just going to walk free anyways? The person also got caleb before Caleb could harm anyone else so its hard to not root for the guy lol
I read a book about this case a few years ago. Melissa had strong ties to local LE......?
Never believe women when they cry abuse.
like your channel but i buy UA-cam premium so i dont have to listen to a thousand ads, doing sponsors is selling your soul if you already monetize your vids but doing multiple sponsors 😢 its a sad day lol

I guess the cops get lackadaisical seeing their hard work amounts to little.rapist child molesters and homicide arrests are rewarded with the convicted doing a quarter of a already lenient sentencing. So why bust your ass.?
I guess that's one way of looking at it.
