- the pinnacle of highlighting what manages to be a letdown yet the most okay part of a movie
Of course, Snake Eyes is in the movie alot, but this is only when he's wearing his suit, a.k.a, only when he even vaguely begins to resemble something of the character of Snake Eyes.
Also that one 6 second scene where he's presented the suit on the tray doesn't count, he's not wearing it.
Man, I hate this Snake Eyes movie.
It gets nothing right about the character. The only time Snake Eyes even remotely seems like the character he's supposed to be is when he gets his suit, which is why I created this video to begin with, but even then the vizors just to dark, it uses that modern superhero nanotech stuff, and it's underwhelming.
Those two or three scenes in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra told a far better Snake Eyes origin story than a whole movie dedicated to that purpose
Shame on you Snake Eyes marketing team, and shame on you Hasbro/Paramount for making the only G.I. Joe movie I don't like.
This film got NOTHING about the characters right, It's like they didn't even know who Snake Eyes was.
They should've made G.I. Joe 3 instead of this.

The suit that they showed you once or twice in every trailer?
This is how long you actually see him with it in the movie.
That's like if Spider-man only suited up as Spider-Man in the last 20 seconds of his movie.
The suit being in and on every piece of marketing for this movie was, for lack of a better word, clickbait.
And you can forget Storm Shadow, he doesn't even wear his mask in the movie. Ever.

As a massive fan of Snake Eyes as a character, I really did not like the movie, I thought it made him very unlikable as a protagonist. Snake Eyes as a character is loyal, tragic, honorable albeit without his flaws, but at the end of the day he’s a hero & a good man. I don’t think he was written or portrayed at all in that way (nothing against Goulding). I feel that a Snake Eyes movie could be done if the right people are involved. As well as acknowledging & respecting the source material of the character. Not Ignoring the key points of his origin, such as his military background - he went to protect others, loss of his family, sustained injuries (his face being burned & loss of voice), feeling like an outsider, & looking for new meaning in life. Here’s to it that Atomic Arcade does Snake Eyes justice with his standalone game in development.
Pity, I guess you old school Sunbow and Marvel Comic fanboys of GI Joe now know why I as someone that grew up with guilty pleasures of GI Joe such as Sigma 6,The Rise Of Cobra,Spy Troops,Extreme,Sgt. Savage and Renegades never felt like forcing myself to be getting into those 2 precious classic pieces GI Joe media in the 80s y'all love so much and nothing else since the problem I had with them was their elitist fanbases XD lol.
Master Chief & The blue Team, Black Mask, Moon Knight, Why Modern media takes the helmet off from all characters who always wear masks? 🥶🥶
Because if they didn't, according to modern media, you might forget the face of the actor that plays them.

I can't stand when movies know that have nothing to go on, so they show you a moderately interesting in the trailer to get you hyped even a little bit, and then it ends up being something from the end of the film.
Y'know, dispite everything being said about the movie?

I didn't see this movie but, this blows.
I thought this was a adequate movie clearly taking place before the accident to his voice, but lacked a certain drive and making you feel emotion for the characters just like all live action G.I. Joe haven't been able to do. One thing I feel about G.I. Joe is that maybe movies aren't the best way to go, but if you did a live action series with some money behind it and the right crew behind it then maybe it could gain some traction. The story could certainly benefit from having episodes instead of a movie where you have to cram so much in it.
